Newton’s Nook Designs August Release and Giveaway – Day 4 – Halloween Trio, Candy Corn, and Boo Hoo

Hello and welcome to the final day of the Newton’s Nook Designs August Release! Time definitely flies by too fast!
All the new August products will be available for purchase tomorrow on Friday, August 17th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

The last day of the August release has reserved a great surprise!!! Today NND is revealing THREE new amazing sets: Halloween Trio, Candy Corn, and Boo Hoo. All of them come with the coordinating dies.

Let’s spread no more words since this post is long and start with the first card featuring so adorable Halloween Trio stamp set.

I stated with the coordinating Halloween trio dies and die cut the cute critters along with the word sentiment and a few bats from Neenah Solar white paper. I aligned the negative part of the cuts in the stamping positioning tool and stamped the Halloween Trio with Memento black ink. Next I spent some time coloring the critters and the bats with copic markers.

Assembling all the elements, I created a night scene using Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks and Sunscape stencil for the rays of light, popped the cute critters on a foam tape and finished with a few matching sequins.

Next comes Candy Corn stamp set and a night watercolor scene. To start, I die cut a bunch of candy corns using the coordinating Candy Corn die set (so handful for multiple die cutting), stamped all the images with VersaFine Onyx Black ink on a Bristol paper from Strathmore and colored all the elements with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers.

Here’s the complete list of all the colors I used here: n.51 Lemon Yellow – n.50 Yellow – n.52 Bright Yellow – n.70 Orange – n.71 Flesh Colour – n.67 Mustard – n.91 Light Gray

For the background I used Framework die, a watercolor paper and regular watercolors. Once dried, I embossed some stars throughout Starfield stencil with a plain white embossing paste and heat embossed the sentiment from the same Candy Corn set with a white embossing powder. Once all the elements were arranged on the card base, I decided to add a cute owl from Boo Hoo set on top of the candy corns stack.

Last, but not least we have Boo Hoo stamp set with a super fun and cute ghosts. Using the coordinating Boo Hoo Die Set and Neenah Solar White paper, I die cut a few ghost shapes and speech bubbles.

Then I stamped the matching stamps with Memento black ink and colored the images with copic markers.

These are the exact copic markers I used here: T1; Y0000-Y00; RV0000-RV00; 0 (colorless blender).

For the background I prepared a scalloped frame using NND Frames & Flags Die Set with a circle window in the center where I added a sort of yellow Moon inking the paper with Fossilized Umber Distress Oxide ink and added on top some bats through just released yesterday Flying Bats stencil.
