Hello and welcome!
Today I’m sharing a sneak peek project showcasing you the fantastic DINO DIG stamp set from the new Crafting Desert Divas June release! This set will be available for purchase on Friday June, 23 at Craftin Desert Divas online shop!
If you, like me, a big fan of cute stamps and fun sentiments, this stamp set will steal your heart for sure!!! So read all the way down to the bottom of this post to learn how to put together this super fun and cute tunnel card! All you need to have for this project is a set of nesting dies and CDD Fancy Frame die set is really perfect in this case!
I started with an A2 size card base that measures 5½” by 4¼” and two other A2 size rectangles cut out from the same white cardstock. First of all, I die-cutted a rectangle in the middle of the front panel on my card base using the smallest frame die from Fancy Frame set. Then I used the medium and the large scalloped dies to achieve the medium and the large frames from the left rectangle pieces! Don’t throw away the positive parts of the die-cuts since you can use them for the other projects!!! At this point I also die-cut 3 times the border hill part necessary to build our scene using Garden Border Dies. Here’s what you should end up with!
The next step was adding color to the visible parts of our tunnel card! I simply inkblended some green shades of Distress Oxide inks toward the bottom of my project so that they look like grass hills and then above a blue shade of the same Oxide ink that should look like the sky portion. Once finished inkblending, I spritzed a few drops of water on top of all the elements and made happen the oxide reaction that gave me an interesting splotchy background! Remember to add color to the inside part of you card as well since it will be visible though the smallest die-cut window!
Assembling the tunnel card, I glued the first border die right on top of the card base a little bit above the frame window. The second border die ended up on the back side of the medium frame as well as the third one was glued on the back side of the largest frame! Offsetting slightly the border dies will dive some dimension to your scene! Finally I stacked the frames together putting each of them on a foam tape.
I stamped with a waterproof ink, watercolored with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut a few cutie dinos along with some small accessories that come with new Dino Dig stamp set and simply arranged them on every layer of my tunnel card! The fun birthday sentiment from the same Dino Dig set and a few matching sequins added a finish touch!
That all for today! Hope you like this tunnel card! As always thanks so much for stopping by! And please, check Craftin Desert Divas Event Page on Facebook for more inspiration, amazing projects and sneak peeks from the Design Team, freebies and awesome giveaways!
