Light Up The Holiday #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Holiday Lights stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today just to stay on topic I decided to put up some happy holidays lights on my card and play more with small, but super cute Holiday Lights stamp set. To start, I die cut a bunch of small lights using the coordinating Holiday Lights Die Set on Neenah Solar White paper. When you have to make multiple images the coordinating dies comes so handy and saves a lot of time! Since the light bulbs are such a simple shape, I decided to make no-line coloring with copic markers because it’s fun and allows you also to practice and try different color combos.

I stamped the light bulbs from Holiday Lights set with a light dye ink using my MISTI tool and the negative part of the die and finally colored all the lights with copic markers. Working on the background, I inked Gingham pattern with a very light gray ink and stamped in the center the matching sentiment from the same Holiday Lights stamp set. I traced two curved lines with a black marker to use as the light strings. Assembling the card, I popped all the colored elements on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and added a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen.
As always I’m leaving you the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC T1- T3; V0000-V01-V04; RV00-RV10-RV02; RV21-RV23-RV25; R02-R05; Y00-Y11-Y15; G00-G02-G03; B0000-B00-B01-B02; YG00-YG01-YG13; YR00-YR02-YR04; BG10-BG11-BG13; BG0000-BG000-BG10-BG23; B21-B24-BG70.

Holiday Card Series 2019 – Nailed It Shaker Card (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Nailed It #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Christmas Haul stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!

I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a sweet shaker Christmas card made with a small but not less adorable Christmas Haul stamp set.

You’ll be reading this post on Black Friday Day and so shopping was obviously a perfect theme to play with. I started with Strathmore Bristol paper and the coordinating Christmas Haul Die Set to die cut the lady holding a bunch of packs and a few additional gift boxes. I used the negative part of the dies into my stamping positioning tool to help me with the alignment while I was stamping the images from Christmas Haul stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Finally I colored everything with watercolor markers.

In case you’re wondering, here are all the exact colors used on this project: TOMBOW DUAL BRUSH MARKERS 243, 296, 452, 703, 761, 847, 873, 912; ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS n.71 Flesh Colour.

Working on the shaker element, I trimmed a rectangle from Neenah Solar White paper slightly smaller than a regular A2 size card base and die cut a circle window in the center. I adhered a piece of a clear acetate from the back side of the shaker part and popped the whole element on a foam tape. Before sealing the shaker window I inked the card bade through Music Stencil with Cracked Pistachio and Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks and then blended more ink directly on the base to achieve a light background. Finally I filled the shaker part with some colored boxes and a few clear iridescent sequins. The sentiment from the same Christmas Haul stamp set was simply heat embossed on a strip of a black cardstock and popped on a foam tape along with the lady and left-over gift packs.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this cute card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Newton’s Nook Designs’ November Reveal and Giveaway – Day 4 – Frosty Folks

Hello and welcome to the final day of the Newton’s Nook November release! Thanks so much for hopping along this week!

All the new November products will be available for purchase on Friday, November 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Winter Is Warmer Together #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Frosty Folks stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

The last day has reserved us more super adorable snowmen in new Frosty Folks stamp set. In case you’re interested there’s the coordinating Frosty Folks Die Set too.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away Frosty Folks stamp set to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

And here’s what I came up today! I started with Neenah Solar White paper and Frosty Folks Die Set to get the folks’ shape. Next I stamped the snowmen from Frosty Folks stamp set with MFT Black Hybrid ink and colored the whole image with copic markers.

These are all the colored used on the project: B21-B24; BG10-BG11-BG15; R22-R24-R29; V01-V04-V06; Y00-Y11-Y15; T0-T1-T3-T5; RV10-RV02-RV04; R20; YR000-YR02-YR04.

I prepared a regular A2 size card base and noticed that the snowmen image was quite big. So I decided to use it a central element and add a clean and simple background by stamping light gray snowflakes on the background from Frosty Folks and Newton’s Toboggan stamp sets. Then I grounded the folks by adding a die cut snow slope from Land Borders Die Set. Last but not least I stamped the matching sentiment, popped the frosty folks on a foam tape and added a generous coat of clear shimmer on all the accessories.

Newton’s Nook Designs’ November Reveal and Giveaway – Day 3 – Penguin Pile & Let it Snow

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook November release! So glad you’ve joined me today!

All the new November products will be available for purchase on Friday, November 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Piles Of Warm Winter Wishes #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Penguin Pile stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I’m so happy to reveal you another adorable trio from new Penguin Pile stamp set. This little set comes with the coordinating Penguin Pile Die. And more… we also have amazing new Let it Snow mini stamp set with a gorgeous winter sentiment that can be paired with some cute critters or used on it’s own.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away Penguin Pile stamp set to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first example features the cutest Penguin Pile stamp set. As always, to start I die cut the penguin shape from Strathmore Bristol paper using Penguin Pile Die Set. Next I stamped the open image from Penguin Pile stamp set using VersaFine Onyx black ink. I let the ink air dry and colored the penguins with watercolor markers.

And here’s the complete list of the colors used on this project: TOMBOW MARKERS N25, N79, 098, 133, 173, 443, 526, 743, 761, 772, 873, 993.

I decided to built a winter mountain scene on the top part of the card front using new just release yesterday Mountains Stencil. First I inked the mountain shape using Simon Hurley Woof! ink. Next I added a sky portion using Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks. Finally I dressed the mountains with a snow using a white embossing paste. I heat set the paste to speed up the drying process and give more fun texture to the background. As a final touch I flicked a few droplets of a diluted white gouache for the falling snow effect. Before popping the penguin pals, I simply stamped the sentiment.

Next comes Let it Snow mini stamp set. I decided to use it on it’s own and build a shaker window around the sentiment filled with sequins to recreate the fun interactive element.

Let It Snow #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Let It Snow stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

To start, I trimmed an A2 size rectangle that measures 5 ½” x 4 ¼”. I applied NND Snowfall stencil on top and inked through Cracked Pistachio Distress ink using a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I shifted the stencil without cleaning and inked it again using more dark Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink. Finally I added a few single snowflakes using Blueprint Sketch color paying attention to leave the center light.

I stamped Let it Snow sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and die cut a circle around so that I could build a shaker window. Before sealing the shaker part, I filled the open “snow” word with Star Dust Stickles Glitter Glue from Ranger.

Newton’s Nook Designs’ November Reveal and Giveaway – Day 2 – Newton’s Toboggan & Mountains Stencil

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook November release! So glad you’ve joined me today!

All the new November products will be available for purchase on Friday, November 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Enjoy The Ride #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Toggoban stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Cuteness overloads on this reveal day since we are having a super adorable and slightly mischievous trio of kitties having winter fun! The new set is called Newton’s Toboggan and it comes with the coordinating Newton’s Toboggan Die Set. And more… NND is adding another amazing layout Mountains Stencil for their collection!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away Newton’s Toboggan stamp set to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

And now it’s time for a crafty example made with Newton’s Toboggan stamp set. I switched to my ever favorites Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx black ink. I die cut first the kitty shape with Newton’s Toboggan Die Set and then stamped the open sweet image using the negative part of the die for a perfect alignment into my MISTI tool. As you may guess by the paper choice, my intention was to use watercolor markers for coloring.

And here’s the complete list of the colors used on this project: TOMBOW MARKERS N65, 098, 133, 443, 526, 703, 761, 772, 845, 847, 873, 899, 905, 947, 977, 992; ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS n.61 Light Brown.

I kept the layout clean and simple to concentrate the main focus on colored kitties. First I added a bit of snow effect by smooching Shaded Lilac Distress ink applied on a piece of transparency with some water. I let the paper dry and then embellished the background with a few snowflakes stamped from the same Newton’s Toboggan set with the same Shaded Lilac Distress ink for a tone on tone look. Finally I added a simply stamped sentiment and popped the elements on a foam tape for a dimensional look.
