Hello and welcome!
I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I came up with a clean and simple holiday card highlighting the cute Gnome for Christmas stamp set!
To start, I die cut all the shapes I needed for this project using the coordinating Gnome for Christmas SugarCut and my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I worked on Strathmore Bristol paper and stamped the outline images from Gnome for Christmas stamp set with with VersaFine Onyx Black ink since both these products work excellent with water based markers. The negative parts of the dies came very handy and made the perfect guide for the alignment inside the stamping positioning tool. Finally I colored all the stamps with Tombow markers, blending the colors with the small waterbrush from Pentel.
And here’s the complete list of all the colors used by me on this card: TOMBOW MARKERS N25, N79, 158, 177, 195, 526, 856, 905, 992.
An extended A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) white card base was trimmed and scored from Neenah Solar White paper along with a faux stitched rectangle with three square windows inside both die cut from Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut. I prepared apart a sky background by inking a piece of Bristol paper with Faded Jeans Oxide Distress ink. I heat set the ink and then added the Falling Snow effect, by first taping the stencil to the paper and then applying a plain white embossing paste on top. I stamped the matching cute pun directly on the card front using the same VersaFine Onyx Black ink for a perfect match and started assembling all the elements together with a bit of dimension. The final touch gave a few clear iridescent sequins.
That’s all for today! Hope this cute card will inspire you! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!
Hugs,
Tatiana
