Well, “Plaid Theme” immediately make me think about Newton’s Nook Designs Plaid Stencil Bundle. It’s a fun product that comes in two layers and offers you really infinite possibilities and combinations. Since spring is showing up here, I decided to go with yellow and teal colors and inked the first layer using Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink and the second one with Peacock Feathers shade. Next I cleaned and applied once more the second stencil layer slightly shifted since I felt like the plaid design was needed more yellow tones.

The cute girl was first die cut from Loads of Blooms Die Set and then stamped with the coordinating Loads of Blooms stamp set and a waterproof black ink since my intention was to use Tombow Markers for coloring. As always, I opted for Strathmore Bristol paper and a small water brush from Pentel.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all TOMBOW markers used here: n.025, n.055, n.133, n.173, n.373, n.443, n.452, n.476, n.535, n.703, n.761, n.873, n.912, n.990.

To frame the spring scene, I die cut a stitched rectangle from Frames & Flags Die Set and stamped some rainy droplets from Newton’s Rainy Day stamp set with the same teal ink I used before. Since Distress inks are reactive with water, I added some water droplets on top for a more playful look. I completed the scene with a little frog from Newton’s Rainy Day stamp and die sets and the coordinating sentiment. Finally I “grounded” the whole scene by drawing a simple puddle.

Hope you like this sweet and simple card and make sure you pop over to the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog to see more amazing projects today! As always thanks so much for stopping by! I really appreciate your love and support!

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #445 (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be a “Guest Sweetie” today over at the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge blog! Have you heard about them? This is such a SWEET Challenge Group! For each challenge they post an amazing cupcake photo and color combo for inspiration! Everybody likes cupcakes, right?

Mom #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Lovely Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Well, the roses from the inspiration picture made me immediately think about the super adorable Lovely Blooms stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs and so grabbed some flowers and leaves and heat embossed a bunch on a white Bristol paper using a white embossing powder.

Mom #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Lovely Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I used Distress Oxide inks in Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Cracked Pistachio and Peeled Paint shades and a few ink blending tools to add color. This is a super fun, quick and easy way to do that since the embossed lines resist from being inked and remain white revealing the pattern.

Next I die cut all the elements with the coordinating dies that came so handy for this project along with a “MOM” sentiment using new Essential Alphabet dies. Finally all the elements were arranged on a plain white card base and adhered with a bit of dimention.

Craftin Desert Divas Monthly Social Media Challenge December 2017

'Tis The Season #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Winter Village Digital Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas

Happy Friday!

It’s time to play again with the Monthly Social Media Challenge from Craftin Desert Divas! And here’s another inspirational project based on the beautiful December mood board!

Today’s card turned out almost one layer. I played with the gorgeous Winter Village Digital Stamp Set, printed a simple frosty scene on a laser printer and just enjoyed coloring it with copic markers. In case you’re interested, please, check all the exact copic numbers I used here at the bottom of this post.

Once finished with coloring, I added a sentiment from Holiday Sweaters stamp set stamping it directly on my panel with a black ink. And finally added a frosty feeling applying first Multi Medium Matte adhesive and then sprinkled on top a clear glitter. I set everything aside and let air dry before shaking off the excess and gluing the colored scene to the regular A2 size card base.

Happy Friday!

Love that gorgeous bright reds againts white backgroud with a pop of green on the CDD December mood boar!!! It looks so perfect and inspiring for the winter and holiday projects!!!

And here’s what I came up with!

Brewed With Love #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Brewed With Love Stamp Set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

I just coudn’t miss just released and so adorable Brewed With Love stamp set designed for the Winter Coffee Lovers Bloghop.

And so I simply stamped the cute buddies holding hot coffee mugs with Memento Dye Ink because it’s save for alcohol markers and my intention was to color them with copics. In case you’re interested, please, cheack all the exact copic numbers I used here at the bottom of this post. Once finished coloring, I framed the cute scene die-cutting a scalloped rectangle frame and then die-cut an octagon using CDD new Inside Scalloped Octagons set from a masking paper. I applyed the negative part of the mask around the stamped image and added color with Distress oxide ink in Peacock Feathers color and an ink blending tool. Once removed the mask, I added a snow effect with a White Gelly Pen.

Cupcake Inspirations Challenge #434 (ft. Craftin Desert Divas)

Happy Sunday!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Fall Borders Die Set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Today’s inspiration graphic has a limited color palette and it’s soooooo beautiful and elegant!!!! The design of this project is a take on my own card that I made a few years ago! It’s still so popular on Pinterest that I decided to recreate it using Craftin Desert Divas products!

It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Fall Borders Die Set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

First of all I made a bit of die-cutting preparing the circle window and the winter scene. I really love Fall Border Dies set since it’s so beautiful and versatile! You can cover the themes all year round with it!!! For the card base I used a very light blue cardstock and added some texture with a winter feel through Snowflake Flurries Stencil. Once the embossing paste was dry, I started assembling the whole scene giving a lot of dimension with a foam tape and finally added faux snow using Snow Marker. Here’s a little tip for you: for a better control I squeeze the liquid from the marker on a piece of paper or acetate and use a tooth pick to apply the liquid to the desirable spots. Snow Marker needs to be heat settled with a heat gun! But be sure not to overheat it since it can start looking burnt and assume brown shades! Guess how I know it!!! LOL!!!
