Hello and welcome!

You can purchase the new Newton’s Nook Pocket Full of Happy clear stamp set or get the set with the coordinating dies at Simon Says Stamp. Remember, this item is ONLY available through Simon Says Stamp while supplies last! And here’s my inspirational project for you! I played with all the super adorable images from Pocket Full of Happy stamp set and arranged them in a simple layout with a faux clothesline! To start, I stamped all the critters on Neenah Solar White paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored all the stamps with copic markers and then fussy cut with my favorite sharp small scissors since I didn’t have the coordinating dies.
As always, I’m sharing all the exact colors used on this project: COPIC dog on the left E30-E31-E33-E35 plus 100; cat YR30-Y21-Y35-YR14 plus RV21-RV0000; dog on the right Y11-Y26-YR31-YR24-E99; pockets B91-B93-B95-B97; C00-C1.
An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was made from the same Neenah Solar White paper. I added a cloudy background inked with Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks through NND Cloudy Sky Stencil using the blending brushes. I flicked some tiny water droplets and splashed of white gouache on my inked background to add some interest. The sentiment from Pocket Full of Happy stamp set was simply stamped towards the bottom edge of the card front with Memento Tuxedo Black ink for a perfect match. Finally the colored stamps were popped on a foam tape and arranged across the sky portion with a twine underneath.
I hope you liked my today’s project using this new exclusive set! Remember, you can only get this design at Simon Says Stamp while supplies last! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
Hello and welcome!!!
I’ve popped in with a simple watercolor card featuring again new Under The Sea Collection of rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs illustrated by super talented Shari Bresciani!
Today’s card is quite simple and involve only some basic watercoloring. To start, I stamped on a piece of Fabriano Extra White Hot Pressed Watercolor paper all the images I needed for my under the sea scene using VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof. I fussy cut all the images (except of the big background stamp) with the sharp small scissors and then colored all the elements with regular watercolors. I like to use my customized palette where I gathered together my favorite watercolors from Winsor & Newton, Schmincke and Daniel Smith brands. It’s hard to keep track of all the exact colors that I used on this project since I’m mixing some of them together to achieve a desirable shade.
And here’s the complete list of all the stamps used on this project:
Branch Coral Set
Ocean Rocks with Algae
Saltwater Fish Set
Seaweed, Tubes & Stripe Coral Set
Seashells & Starfish
Sea-timents (sentiment) Set
The background was framed with a faux stitched rectangle die from SugarPea Designs Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut since this die has the same exact measures as an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). I glued some elements directly to the backgroung while the others were popped on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look. The sentiment from the matching Sea-timents Set was simply heat embossed on a narrow strip of a black cardstock and then added to the card.
Hope you like this cute card and new amazing stamps from the Purple Onion Designs’ Under The Sea Collection!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Here’s your look at Shiver Me Timbers bundle.
And here’s what I came up with for you today! A fun and cute pirate card perfect to send a kind message to your love ones and friends! To start, I die cut using my Big Shot machine and the coordinating Shiver Me Timbers die set all the shapes I needed for this project. I worked on my favorite Neenah Solar White paper since it’s copic friendly. I save all the negative parts of the dies and used them inside the MISTI tool for a perfect alignment while I was stamping the open images from Shiver Me Timbers stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Finally I colored all the stamps with copic markers. So easy!!! Right?!
In case you’re wondering, I’m leaving you the complete list of all the colors used on this card: COPIC R20-R32-R14-R46-R89; G20-G24-G94; B91-B93-B95-B97; C00-C0-C2-C4; W1-W3-W5-W7; E41-E42-E44; skin E50-E51-E53-E55; monkey E30-E23-E25-E29; Y15; YR24.
An extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was made from the same Neenah Solar White paper that I used for stamping and coloring. The faux old piece of paper used as a background was teared by hand to the desirable size and then “aged” with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. Finally I assembled all the elements together using a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and finished with a heat embossed sentiment and and a few clear sparkling sequins.
Hope you like this cute pirate scene! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!
Hi there Sugar Peeps!!!

On my stop for this hop I’m sharing some cuties from adorable Hey Fall stamp set. I looooove so much all the sweet critters from the set which are just perfect for scene building. To start, I made all the die cutting using the coordinating Hey Fall SugarCut. I worked on Neenah Solar White paper since it’s copic friendly and it’s also perfect as a card base. My MISTI tool came very handy for the stamping. I used the negative parts of the dies to help me with the alignment and managed to achieve all the elements in no time. I chose Memento Tuxedo Black ink for stamping the open images from Hey Fall stamp set since it’s meant to work with alcohol markers.
As always here’s the complete list of all the colors used here: COPIC E0000-E30-E31-E33-E37; E41-E44; YR000-YR00-YR02-YR12-YR14-YR21-YR24-YR30; V12-V15-V09; G20-G24-G28; W00-W1-W3; Y13-Y35-Y17; R12-R14-R27; B00-BG52; BV01 for shades.
The background was inked with Simon Says Stamp Twirling Tutu, Melon and Surf Blue inks. I used the blending brushes and a very light hand to achieve a soft and smooth result and then flicked a few tiny shimmer droplets just for something little extra. I popped the background piece on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″), arranged all the colored stamps and finished with a a heat embossed sentiment and a few clear sparkling sequins.
That’s all for today!!! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Hello and welcome!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a simple autumn feeling card!
Today’s card was really easy to make. To start, I took a piece of a cold pressed watercolor paper since it has more texture compared to a hot pressed version and paint a sort of splotchy and uneven background, creating a green, a red and yellowish areas. I flicked some colorful droplets on top along with white and gold ones to bring more interest to the pattern. I let the paper air dry and then die cut some leaves using Autumn Leaves Die Set.
An extended A2 size (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) card base was made from a kraft cardstock. I trimmed and positioned on top another slightly smaller panel made from the watercolor paper where I wrapped and tied a bow using a matching kraft twine. I arranged my watercolor leaves and glued them directly on the background. Finally I added a heat embossed sentiment from Heartfelt Essentials stamp set. If you have troubles with heat embossing, I highly recommend you to prep the paper with a generous coat of Powder Tool to prevent the embossing powder from sticking to your paper where you don’t want it. Then use VersaMark Clear Sticky ink since this ink stays wet for a while and allows to achieve a perfect impression. A few sequins finished this simple watercolor card.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this lovely autumn card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous day!
