I’m so excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog today and give you a fun idea on how you can stretch your holiday stamps and dies! Curious?
This year I decided to make a stamp focus card series and invite you to get another look on the crafty products you already have in your stash or bring more ideas on the same stamp or die set so that you can decide if you really want to get it! Today I would like to reuse holiday stuff and reinterpret it in a different way! And so I’m starting with a super adorable Newton’s Christmas Cuddles set from NND. This set is meant to be a holiday one, but the cute images are so versatile that you can easily cover many other occasions. I played with the lovely couple of kitties and transformed them into a love or Valentine’s Day card.
The kitties were stamped on a watercolor paper with a black waterproof ink, colored with regular watercolors and finally fussy cut right against the stamp lines. Then I built a shaker element reusing a Snow Globe Shaker Die Set and filling it with a tiny die-cut hearts from Darling Hearts Die Set, sparkling sequins and beads because I loved the idea of falling hearts on the love card. And since I already had Darling Hearts Die Set on my desk, I die-cut the work “love” from a bright pink cardstock and used it as the sentiment.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this sweet card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day! And, please, let me know if you’re interested to see more posts from my Stamp Focus Card Series!!!

I’m so excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog today and give you another look at the super fun and cute Santa Paws Newton stamp set!
You probably know that I’m a huge fan of the cute mischief designed by NND and love to color him like my kitties. And so I just couldn’t let Santa Paws Newton stamp set die in my stash without a chance to appear on this year holiday cards.
Creating this cheerful and bright watercolor card, I played with my Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. I used this particular color media a lot during last year and figured out my win win combo that gives me the best results: Bristol paper from Strathmore brand plus a watercolor brush from Pentel. While the watercolor images were drying, I prepared a simple layout die-cutting a scalloped rectangle from Fancy Edges Tag Die Set and adding a little bit of texture and interest with a white embossing paste applied through Snowfall stencil. While the embossing paste was still wet, I sprinkled a clear glitter on top and let everything air dry before removing the excess. This further step gave a frosty and snowy feeling to the card. Finally I assembled all the elements with a bit of dimension popping up the images on a foam tape.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this cute card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

Hello and welcome!
Sharing today a simple watercolor card made for the Winter Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!!
I played with fantastic new Cup of Cocoa stamp set from Newton’s nook Designs and transformed it into a coffee one!!! LOL!!!
Here’s how I made it! First of all I stamped with a waterproof black ink a bunch on cups on a piece of a watercolor paper, taped it to the board to prevent from warping along with another little piece of the same watercolor paper that I used for the banner lately. I used Cobalt Teal Blue and Burnt Umber Extra Fine Watercolors from Daniel Smith and Opera Rose shade from Winson & Newton. Once the paper was dry, I die-cut all the elements for my layout using NND Frames And Flags die set. Then I trimmed apart the “Cold Days Need Hot Cocoa” sentiment from Cup of Cocoa set and added the missing word “Coffee” from Cuppa Cactus stamp set splitting apart once again the original sentiment. Finally I assembled everything giving a bit of dimension with a foam tape and decorating the card front with a few matching sequins.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this sweet card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

There couldn’t be any proper date for this hop because today December, 8 in Italy we celebrate Feast of the Immaculate Conception! It’s day off and it’s tradition to deck the halls right on this day!!! So meanwhile you’re reading this post, I’m putting up my christmas tree, lights and nativity scene. It really beginning to look a lot like Christmas!!! LOL!!!
For this hop I created a clean and simple card with a pop of bright colors on a tropical birds dressed up for holiday period! I thought it would be fun to give another “life” and interpretation to the summer stamps and transform them into the holiday ones! And so I started stamping with a black waterproof ink on a hot pressed watercolor paper the cute toucans from NND Toucan Party
stamp set along with some winter accessories from Newton’s Holiday Mischief
and Santa Paws Newton
sets. I colored everything with regular watercolors, fussy cut right up against the stamp lines and colored all the edges with a black marker to hide any imperfection due to the cutting. For the background I used a negative part of the circle die-cut from a masking paper, added Distress Oxide ink in Peacock Feathers color. I let everything dry before applying a textured snowflakes through gorgeous Snowfall stencil
using a white embossing paste. Finally I assembled everything popping up some elements on a foam tape and simply stamping the sentiment and a few beautiful snowflakes with the same black ink I used before.

I grabbed two adorable doggies and stamped them on Strathmore Bristol paper with a waterproof ink since my intention was to color them with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. Then I fussy cut the images with my scissors and brought a black marker with a felt brush nib on the edges of the cut images. This little tip helped me to hide any imperfection due to cutting. For the background I used Land Borders Die Set creating the snow slopes and hills and “colored” the sky portion with Distress inks and an ink blending tool. Once the inks were dry I heat embossed with a white embossing powder the little snowflakes from Snow Globe Scenes stamp set on top and finished with the sentiment put on the fish-tale banner and a few matching sequins.
