There would be no purr-rect challenge without giveaways! Right?! So be sure to pop at Inky Paws Challenge blog for all the details! You still have a week to play along. Deadline to enter is Friday, June 28, 2019 at Midnight CST. The winners will be announced on the NND blog the following Monday.

I like to challenge myself and so, working on this project, I decided to combine the Sketch Challenge #1 with the Color Challenge #76 since its colors are the same as on Italian flag and the Theme Challenge #19 (use watercolors). Plus I used one of my favorites Newton Dreams of Italy stamp set!

Curios how it turned out? So please, watch the video below!!!

For the die cutting, I used Newton Dreams of Italy and Frames & Flags Die sets. The kitty was stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and for the background I switched to a medium gray dye ink, but both elements were made on Fabriano Hot Pressed Extra White Watercolor paper.

The sentiment comes from the same Newton Dreams of Italy stamp set and was heat embossed on a piece of a black cardstock with VersaMark clear sticky ink and a fine white embossing powder.

sweet to repeat blog hop

On my stop for this hop I’m sharing a cute and fresh card featuring new and so adorable Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set.

I'm Here For You Rain Or Shine #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Sprout Bloom Glow stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

To start, I used Strathmore Bristol paper and the coordinating Sprout Bloom Grow SugarCut. I saved the negative die cut pieces and used them for a perfect alignment into my MISTI tool while I was making the stamping with Sprout Bloom Grow set and VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Next I colored all the elements using Tombow markers and a small water brush from Pentel.

And here’s the complete list of all the colors used: TOMBOW N79, 055, 133, 373, 636, 665, 723, 743, 942, 985.

Working on the background, first I die cut a dotted rectangle using new Card Front Element Builder II set and then ran the same piece again three times in my die cutting machine with a SugarCut from Stacked Honeycombs die set. At this point I also added a simply stamped sentiment from the same Sprout Bloom Grow stamps set. Finally I inked a regular A2 size card base with blue tones and popped all the elements on a foam tape for some dimension and interest.

Spring/ Summer Lovers Blog Hop (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Coffee Is Always A Good Idea #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Caffeinated Cats stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!

Sharing today a cute watercolor card made for the Spring/ Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!!I played with fantastic full card front Caffeinated Cats stamp set from Newton’s nook Designs, but interpreted it in different way! Curious?!

Coffee Is Always A Good Idea #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Caffeinated Cats stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Here’s how I made this project! To start, I stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink Caffeinated Cats on Strathmore Bristol paper, but instead of coloring the whole image, I fussy cut a part of the cat pile right against the stamp lines. Next I colored the cut piece with Tombow markers and hide any imperfection due to the fussy cutting by coloring the edge with a black brush marker. The background was slightly inked with Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks before applying a layer of a white embossing paste on top through Sunscape stencil. Finally the heat embossed sentiment from Newton Loves Coffee stamp set “grounded” the main image and gave the finish touch to this card.

TOMBOW markers used for coloring: N79, 025, 055, 133, 452, 665, 723, 899, 905, 925, 947, 992.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this sweet card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!

2019 SugarPea Designs April Release: Day 4

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of our SugarPea Designs April Product Release!

I hope you’ll join SPD Design Team over the next 2 days because we’ll be sharing Sweet Peeks for the products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 26th at 6 PM EST in the SPD Store.

Each day will be full of inspiration, and as always, you’ll have a shot at winning one of FIVE GIVEAWAYS!  All you need to do is leave a comment for your chance to win.

**Please note that links to our store for these new products will not go LIVE until 6PM EST on April 26th.**

Today’s Introductions include… super adorable Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set and the coordinating Sprout Bloom Grow SugarCuts.

And here’s my cute bunny card perfect for every spring occasion! Today I switched to a hot pressed watercolor paper from Fabriano since I was going to use regular watercolor and needed a medium that holds water well. To start, I prepared all the die cut pieces using Sprout Bloom Grow SugarCuts and then stamped the coordinating outline images from Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set helping my self with the negative parts of the dies for a perfect alignment. I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink for stamping since it’s waterproof and finally colored all the elements with regular watercolors.

The layout was created with just released Card Front Element Builder II set. I die cut a white dotted full card front rectangle and a matching tag from Spots & Stripes Bright paper pad along with a few fishtail banners. Assembling all the elements I used foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest and a few matching sequins.

On my spot for this hop, I prepared two watercolor cards! The first one is made with Tombow markers. I stamped the cute mouse from Garden Mice along with a few flowers from just release Floral Fringe stamp sets.

Once finished with coloring, I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Garden Mice set on a piece of a green cardstock and die cut a scalloped rectangle using Frames & Flags Die Set for the layout.

Working on my second card, I switched to Arches Hot Pressed Watercolor paper and regular watercolors. To start, I arranged some stamps from Garden MiceApril Showers and Newton Scoots By stamp sets and stamped them using VersaFine Onyx black ink since it’s waterproof.

For the background, I decided to try the dry embossing with stencils and so I chose Floral Lace pattern and ran it through my die cutting machine including a squishy embossing pad in the “sandwich”. I used the same sentiment as on my previous card and heat embossed it again on a piece of a black cardstock.
