All the new November products will be available for purchase on Friday, November 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

I’m so happy to reveal you another adorable trio from new Penguin Pile stamp set. This little set comes with the coordinating Penguin Pile Die. And more… we also have amazing new Let it Snow mini stamp set with a gorgeous winter sentiment that can be paired with some cute critters or used on it’s own.
Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away Penguin Pile stamp set to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first example features the cutest Penguin Pile stamp set. As always, to start I die cut the penguin shape from Strathmore Bristol paper using Penguin Pile Die Set. Next I stamped the open image from Penguin Pile stamp set using VersaFine Onyx black ink. I let the ink air dry and colored the penguins with watercolor markers.
And here’s the complete list of the colors used on this project: TOMBOW MARKERS N25, N79, 098, 133, 173, 443, 526, 743, 761, 772, 873, 993.

I decided to built a winter mountain scene on the top part of the card front using new just release yesterday Mountains Stencil. First I inked the mountain shape using Simon Hurley Woof! ink. Next I added a sky portion using Peacock Feathers and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks. Finally I dressed the mountains with a snow using a white embossing paste. I heat set the paste to speed up the drying process and give more fun texture to the background. As a final touch I flicked a few droplets of a diluted white gouache for the falling snow effect. Before popping the penguin pals, I simply stamped the sentiment.

Next comes Let it Snow mini stamp set. I decided to use it on it’s own and build a shaker window around the sentiment filled with sequins to recreate the fun interactive element.

To start, I trimmed an A2 size rectangle that measures 5 ½” x 4 ¼”. I applied NND Snowfall stencil on top and inked through Cracked Pistachio Distress ink using a Mini Ink Blending Tool. I shifted the stencil without cleaning and inked it again using more dark Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink. Finally I added a few single snowflakes using Blueprint Sketch color paying attention to leave the center light.

I stamped Let it Snow sentiment with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and die cut a circle around so that I could build a shaker window. Before sealing the shaker part, I filled the open “snow” word with Star Dust Stickles Glitter Glue from Ranger.

Would you like to win the “Penguin Pile” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!
