DIY Cutlery Holders by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - SugarCuts by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’ve popped in to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and healthy New Year! Thanks so much for sticking with me throughout this year, for all you love and support! Plus I have to share my DIY Christmas cutlery holders that I made for our holiday table using Christmas Characters SugarCut from SugarPea Designs!

This project was so fun to put up together and it came out from some scraps that I had in my stash. Since I didn’t use any particular cardmaking technique, any paper you have on hand works fine!

To start, I die cut the tag base from Floral Pocket Tag SugarCut, cut out the bottom flap with my scissors and glued the tag only from the one side!

Then I die cut some decorative elements from Christmas Characters SugarCut and glued them directly on the front side of the tag! I purposely didn’t create the Christmas characters like Santa or elves with faces, but played instead with the die cut elements in a creative way, making my own fun patterns. Easy! Right?!

Hope you like this fun idea and cute holders I made! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Holiday Card Series 2020 – Snow-One Else Like You! (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Snow-one Else Like You #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Snowman Greetings stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!

I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a cute winter card featuring new Snowman Greetings and Snowfall Roundabout stamp sets! I looooooove so much the adorable snowman from Snowman Greetings set since it has the cutest design and can incorporate the greetings inside the wood sign. Just genius!!!

To start, I die cut the snowman using the coordinating Snowman Greetings Die Set on Copic X-Press paper. I saved the negative part of the die and used it as a guide inside the MISTI tool to help me with the alignment while I was stamping the outline image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Finally I colored the snowman with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, I’m leaving all the exact colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS

The snowflakes from Snowfall Roundabout were heat embossed in white on Neenah Solar White paper. I blended on top Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink with a very light hand, creating an ombré effect. Finally the snowflake background was framed inside the circle, die cut from the coordinating Circle Frames Die Set, and popped on an extended A2 size kraft card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) along with the snowman. A generous coat of a clear shimmer pen and some matching sequins finished this winter card!

Holiday Card Series 2020 – Ho! Ho! Ho! Card For The SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #74

Ho! Ho! Ho! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Here Comes Santa Claus stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I decided to stretch my supplies and create a holiday winter scene out of non holiday products!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

I’m really satisfied with the creative background made on this card! Let’s see how all the elements came together!

The night sky background was inked directly on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) made from Neenah Solar White paper. I used Tumbled GlassSalty Ocean and Chipped Sapphire Distress inks with the ink blending foams instead of the blending brushes to achieve an intense and saturated look. I heat set the ink and then added the white falling snow using Falling Snow Stencil and a plain white embossing paste.

The roof came from a piece of a bright red cardstock trimmed approximately 2 inches wide. I die cut from a dark red cardstock and glued on top Scale Cover Plate SugarCut to emulate roof tiles. I used Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive since it dries matte and clear. Easy! Right!?

The snow on the roof top was simply die cut from the same Neenah Solar White paper with a faux stitched curve line that comes inside Card Front Element Builder SugarCut.

The chimney came together from a small red rectangle trimmed from a bright red cardstock and a white top die cut with Sentiment Strip SugarCut. I added a brick pattern to the red portion by inking the paper with Barn Door Distress ink through English Bond Brick Wall Stencil. Later I added some shadows with R39 copic marker to the bricks.

Finally the brick wall underneath the roof is just a narrow strip of paper inked through English Bond Brick Wall Stencil with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.

Ho! Ho! Ho! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Here Comes Santa Claus stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

The cute Santa and the sentiment come from Here Comes Santa Claus stamp set. I stamped the outline image on Copic X-Press paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, colored with copic markers and fussy cut using my sharp small scissors. While the “Ho! Ho! Ho!” sentiment was simply heat embossed in white in the center of a black circle. Finally I assembled all the elements together, popping the roof, Santa and the sentiment on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look. A generous coat of a clear shimmer pen applied on Santa Claus gave a finish touch to this holiday card.

As always, I’m leaving the complete list of all the colors used on this card: COPIC MARKERS

Holiday Card Series 2020 – Merry Christmas (ft. SugarPea Designs)

Merry Christmas #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - You're My Type SugarCut by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I mixed and matched a few amazing SugarCuts to create this holiday project! To start, I die cut adorable type writer and a few leaves and branches using You’re My Type and Floral Pocket Tag SugarCuts. I used colorful cardstock from my stash, but you can start with a plain white paper and easily color the die cut elements with any color media you have on hand. Before gluing all the pieces together, I stamped the sentiment with Memento Tuxedo Black ink from the coordinating You’re My Type stamp set.

Merry Christmas #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - You're My Type SugarCut by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

An extended A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) white card base was trimmed and scored from Neenah Solar White paper. I layered on top a light pink background achieved by inking a piece of the same Neenah Solar White paper through Geo Snowflake Stencil with Simon Says Stamp Cotton Candy dye ink. Next, towards the center of the card front, I applied a vellum tag die cut from Snowflake Tag set. Once arranged all the die cut elements, I popped the type writer on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and glued the branches directly to the card base. To give a finish festive and winter touch to this project, I die cut two snowflakes from Snowflake Tag SugarCut. I used again Neenah Solar White paper, then put on top a generous coat of Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive and covered both die cuts with Distress Clear Rock Candy glitter. I let the glue air dry, shake off the excess and finally added both snowflakes on the card front.

Have A Magical Holiday Season #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

Hello and welcome!!!

I’ve popped in with another holiday card featuring charming rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs “The Sweetest Little Town” collection.

This project is very simple and envolves only a bit of watercoloring! To start, I stamped on Fabriano Extra White watercolor paper with waterproof VersaFine Onyx Black ink the adorable Snow Crooners plus two big Covered Bridge and Frozen Pond backgrounds. I fussy cut the critters and the bridge with my sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around. White the Frozen Pond was framed with a faux stitched rectangle from SugarPea Designs Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut. Finally I proceeded with coloring using my Mijello Missoin Gold watercolor palette.

An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was trimmed and scored from Neenah Solar White paper and all the colored stamps were popped on top on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
