Hello and welcome!!!
I’m super excited and honored to join Reverse Confetti for the months of May and June as a ‘Fetti Friend!!! And here’s my first post for the first day of their COUNTDOWN TO CONFETTI!!! Yaaay!!!
The first stamp set that I’m introducing you today is called Hey, Sugar and it comes with the coordinating dies. I really love the bold images inside this set along with super cool and fun handwritten sentiments perfect for creating any sweet paper crafting project!
I created a simple, but colorful watercolor birthday card using Hey, Sugar stamp set. I started with a watercolor cardstock and repeatedly stamped a bunch of sweet donuts with a VersaFine black ink since it’s waterproof. Then I made a super simple and splotchy watercoloring on top and once dried popped the created pattern on a A2 size pink card base. I also heat embossed the matching sentiment from the same Hey, Sugar stamp set on a piece of a black card stock with a white embossing powder and adhered it towards the bottom left corner of my card.
Since it was practically impossible not to color the sprinkles on the donuts, Nuvo White Drops added on top were a perfect finish touch to this card. They brought back the white color to the sprinkles and added a fabulous dimension and shine emulating real ones.
My second card is out of my comfort zone! But I had so much fun creating it and going to share some tips and tricks with you. So please continue reading this post!!!
Creating this project I used amazing new Birthday Wishes stamp set, cute Candles and beautiful Polka Panel die sets plus new Paper Bliss pattern paper filled with incredible colors and designs!
Fist of all I prepared on a scrap piece of paper a negative cut from Candles die set and covered it with Press’n Seal Wrap. Then I die cut once more the candles out from different patter designs that comes with Paper Bliss paper pad and popped them inside the negative part of the die.
Press’n Seal hold everything together nice and steady and so I was able to add a foam tape to the bottom part and then placed the die cut candles on my card base perfectly spaced.
Before adhering the candles, I embellished a plain gray card base with fun polka dot pattern die cutting it from new Polka Panel die sets.
I also heat embossed on a black cardstock the matching sentiment using Birthday Wishes stamp set and cut it in half.
