Happy Bee-Day Card and SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #55

Happy Bee-Day #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Hey Honey stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’ve popped today to share my entry into the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up challenge with a cute and happy Bee-Day card!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

Working on this project I mixed and matched a few new and so well coordinating goodies from SPD April release. To start, I die cut some shapes from Hey Honey SugarCut Set. I used Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink for stamping the coordinating images from Hey Honey stamp set. Next I made a super simple coloring with Tombow markers and a small watercolor brush from Pentel.

As always I’m leaving all the exact colors I used here: TOMBOW n.N15, n.026, n.055, n.062, n.373, n.977, n.991, n.992.

A regular A2 size background was inked from one corner with Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. I also prepared another rectangle to go on top, embossing it with Honeycomb Cover Plate and die cutting one corner with a circle die from Zig Zag Stitched Circles SugarCut set. Finally I could assemble all the elements with a bit of dimension, a few matching sequins and a heat embossed sentiment from the same Hey Honey stamp set.

2019 SugarPea Designs April Release: Day 3

Just A Note To Say... #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - You're My Type stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of our SugarPea Designs April Product Release!

I hope you’ll join SPD Design Team over the next 3 days because we’ll be sharing Sweet Peeks for the products that will be available for purchase starting this Friday, April 26th at 6 PM EST in the SPD Store.

Each day will be full of inspiration, and as always, you’ll have a shot at winning one of FIVE GIVEAWAYS!  All you need to do is leave a comment for your chance to win.

**Please note that links to our store for these new products will not go LIVE until 6PM EST on April 26th.**

Today’s Introductions include… amazing You’re My Type stamp set and the coordinating You’re My Type SugarCuts.

For my stop on this hop, I played with awesome You’re My Type SugarCuts that allow more than simply cut out the coordinating stamps. In fact, the set contains some additional pieces that can be used to build a typewriter. I was not sure on the color combo I want to use and so I die cut all the elements from Neenah Solar White paper first and then quickly colored with copic markers. I used BG0000-BG10-BG11; C4-C7 and BV01 numbers.

The background was created on a dotted panel die cut from just released Card Front Element Builder II set. I ran the front part back and force into my die cutting machine making the window for the shaker part with Stucked Honeycombs and then inked inside, creating a colorful background. Before sealing the shaker window I filled it with clear sparkling sequins and some beads. The sentiment that comes from You’re My Type stamp set was heat embossed on a strip of paper colored with the same copic markers that I used on the typewriter for a perfect match.

Newton’s Nook Designs March Release and Giveaway – Day 3 – Moo

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs April release!

All the new April products will be available for purchase on Friday, April 12th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

You're MOO-velous! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Moo stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today we are continuing to add more absolutely adorable farm animals to a new collection and it’s time for the cutest cows from Moo stamp set that as always comes with the coordinating dies!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving Moo stamp set away to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first card turned out as a cute farm scene and all the images I used here come from only one new Moo set. To start I chose Neenah Solar White paper and Hybrid Black ink from MFT since it’s copic friendly. I die cut the cow and a few accessories for my scene using Moo Die Set and stamped the coordinating outline images helping myself with a stamping positioning tool. Next I colored everything with copic markers.

Here’re the complete list of all the copic colors used: cow YR21-YR24-YR27 plus R02-R11 and E49; W00-W2-W3; R24-R27-R39; Y11-Y15-Y21-Y26; BG11.

The hills were die cut from Land Borders Die Set and inked with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide ink. The sky portion was colored with Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and finally the fence die cut from Fence Border Die was shaded with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink. Before assembling all the elements, I added a few puffy clouds through Cloudy Sky stencil using a white embossing paste from Ranger.

Since all the new farm goodies released this week go so well together, I just cannot escape to mix and match them on my second card!

It's Your Birthday! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started with the same steps that I describe for the previous card, except of that I switched to Strathmore Bristol paper and Tombow markers.

Here’re all the exact colors of TOMBOW markers I used on this project: n.N15, n.N79, n.055, n.090, n.133, n.723 n.772, n.850, n.946, n.947, n.977, n.993.

And here’re all the exact new products used for this fun birthday card: the fun piggy is from Oink stamp and die sets, the chicks come from Cluck stamp and die sets along with the sentiment stamped on a Speech Bubble, the cow is, as you can guess, from Moo stamp and die sets. The background was formed from two pieces of green and light blue cardstock both framed with Frames Squared Die Set. Finally the Fence Border Die cut out from a kraft cardstock was embellished through Hardwood stencil.
