Time To Paw-ty! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Block Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today NND is revealing a super cute and absolutely adorable Newton’s Block Party stamp set full of fun birthday kitties! No need to tell you that a crazy cat lady like me totally felt in love with it!!! Plus this stamp set coordinates well with just released yesterday Frames Squared Die.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new stamp Newton’s Block Party stamp set away to a lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

And here’s what I came up with for you using Newton’s Block Party set. To start, I stamped the kitties on a piece of Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof.

Before coloring the stamp, I framed it with Frames Squared Die set and fussy cut a window inside using a pair of small sharp scissors. Next I colored everything with Tombow markers and started working on the card base. I used once again Frames Squared Die set and die cut a window directly on the card front. I adhered the kitty stamp and embellished inside with a tone on tope balloons inking new Balloons stencil with a light pink ink and then simply stamped the sentiment.

Copic Colored Card for SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #53

For Goodness Cake #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Elephant Parade stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’ve popped in for a quick post because today is my turn to enter into the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up challenge and I prepared this simple and cute belated birthday card!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

New Elephant Parade stamp set has a cute belated birthday sentiment and a few belated birthday cards come super handy for my stash. And so I started with Elephant Parade coordinating SugarCutElephant Parade stamp set, Neenah Solar White paper and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

I took my copic markers and colored the cute images from Elephant Parade stamp set. Next I prepared a regular A2 size card base, die cut a circle from Zig Zag Stitched Circles set and a scalloped frame from Card Front Element Builder. I added a bit of color and interest to the background using again a light pink copic markers plus a colorless blender. Finally I assembled all the elements with a bit of dimension.

And here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this card: COPIC RV0000-RV00-RV02-RV10; YG00-YG01-YG05; Y11-Y13-Y18; BG10-BG11-BG15-BG-23; T1-T0.

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook Designs March release! Can’t wait to share with you tons of fabulous and super fun products that NND is revealing this month!

All the new March products will be available for purchase on Friday, March 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Happy Birthday #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Birthday Trio stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

We’re kicking off this week with two new absolutely adorable birthday stamp sets that will satisfy both cat and dog people. I know that all of you are great fans of cute critters and so let me introduce you Newton’s Birthday Trio and Paw-some Birthday stamp sets. Both of them come with the coordinating dies. Plus NND has designed an amazing Balloons Stencil to go on your birthday cards because there would be no perfect birthday without the balloons! Right?! LOL!!!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving both new stamp sets away to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first card features Birthday Trio stamp and die sets! To start, I die cut the fun kitties from Strathmore Bristol paper, stamped with a waterproof black ink and colored with watercolor markers.

Here’re all the exact colors of TOMBOW markers I used on this project: n.N79, n.055, n.126, n.133, n.452, n.620, n.636, n.676, n.703, n.725, n.873, n.899, n.946, n.947, n.977, n.991.

For the background I inked a piece of Tim Holtz watercolor cardstock with Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Tumbled Glass and Salty Ocean Distress inks. Next I trimmed an A2 size rectangle from a light gray cardstock and partially die cut a circle window inside. I put the inked piece underneath the die cut window and applied new Balloons Stencil on top, transferring the pattern with a white embossing paste directly on both layers. Once the embossing paste was dry, I could assemble all the elements with a bit of dimension.

Working on Paw-some Birthday stamp and die sets, I switched to copic markers, Neenah Solar White paper and Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Once again I first made the die cutting using the coordinating Paw-some Birthday Die Set and then stamped the coordinating images from Paw-some Birthday stamp set and colored everything with copic markers.

As always, here’s the complete list of all the COPIC markers used here: Y32-YR21-YR24-YR27; V0000-V01-V05-V12; BV000-BV01-FV2; YG11-YG41-G02; Y0000-Y00-Y11-Y13-Y18; BG10-BG11-BG23; T0-T1-T3; R21-R22; RV13; E30.

For the background I used the same Balloons Stencil, but achieved different look by inking the card base made from Neenah Solar White paper with a very light hand and next coming with stronger colors on top through Balloons Stencil. This time my choice was on Squeezed Lemonade, Wild Honey and Spiced Marmalade Distress inks.

Simple Watercolor Card and SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #52

Oh Happy Day #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Elephant Parade stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to enter into the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up challenge and I prepared this simple and cute birthday card for you!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

To start, I die cut and stamped a few cute critters and heart-shaped balloons using Elephant Parade and Balloon Numbers stamp sets and the coordinating Elephant Parade and Balloon Numbers SugarCuts. I used VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof and Strathmore Bristol paper. Next I proceeded with coloring using Tombow markers and a small water brush from Pentel.

As always here’s the complete list of all the TOMBOW MARKERS used on this card: n.N.55, n.N60, n.N79, n.090, n.703, n.723, n.800, n.835, n.885, n.991.

I added a bit of color directly to the card base through Concentric Circles stencil, creating the background for my critters. I used Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink and darkened the center with Fossilized Amber shade. Once the sentiment from the same Elephant Parade stamp set was heat embossed on a piece of a black cardstock, I could assemble all the elements with a bit of dimension. Finally a few clear sequins added a finish touch to this card.

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release and Giveaway – Day 1 – Loads of Blooms and Flower Trio Die Set

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook Designs February release! Can’t wait to share with you all the new wonderful spring products!

All the new February products will be available for purchase on Friday, February 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Happy Blooming Birthday #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Loads of Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

What an amazing start of the week! It’s time give first peeks on the NND new spring release! And so let me introduce you today Loads of Blooms stamp and the coordinating die sets, stand along Flower Trio Die Set plus two new fabulous stencils: Bold Blooms Stencil and Bokeh Stencil Set.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving new Loads of Blooms stamp sets away to a lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Here’s my example how you can combine these new goodies! To start, I used the coordinating Loads of Blooms die set and Strathmore Bristol paper. Next I stamped the outlines images from Loads of Blooms stamp set using VersaFine Onyx Black ink. And finally I could watercolor everything with Tombow markers.

Here’re all the exact colors I used on this project: n.N45, n.025, n.026, n.055, n.133, n.177, n.636, n.665, n.772, n.850, n.947, n.990, n.991.

The background was done with a wonderful new Bokeh Stencil Set. It’s another addition to the NND collection of stencil sets. This set has two layers and allows you to create tons of amazing patterns in no time. On my project I used Spun Sugar and Tumbled Glass Distress inks and add a super light layer on a piece of the watercolored cardstock from Tim Holtz. Next I applied the first layer of Bokeh Stencil Set and inked once again the card front using the same colors of distress inks. For the second layer I switched to a plain white embossing paste. I really love how the pattern turned out and that a thin layer of the embossing paste shows through the colorful circle underneath. Finishing the card, I framed the bokeh pattern using Frames & Flags Die Set, heat embossed the sentiment from Loads of Blooms stamp set on a piece of a dark gray cardstock and applied a few embellishing accents.
