Oh Happy Day Card (ft. Purple Onion Designs)

Hello and welcome!!!

Today I’m sharing a sweet all occasion card that involved a little color pencils coloring and some die cutting!

To start I picked adorable Potted Plants And Herbs stamp from Purple Onion Designs and stamped it on a kraft cardstock. I like the color of Neenah Desert Storm cardstock and how the color pencils look on it. And since I haven’t used a kraft base for while, I decided to give it a try today!

I stamped the images from Potted Plants And Herbs set with MFT black Hybrid ink, fussy cut with my sharp small scissors and colored with colored pencils. I used Faber-Castell Polychromos brand today for coloring. The background was made from the same Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. I die cut the matching stitched panel and circles combining SugarPea Designs Card Front Element Builder with Newton’s Nook Designs Frames Squared Die Set. I also prepared a simply stamped sentiment from Purple Onion Design’s Carnival/Fair Blurbs stamp set. I just love those adorable little speech bubbles! Assembling all the elements together, I played with different layers by gluing some elements directly to the card front and popping some others on a foam tape or doubled up foam tape.

2018 SugarPea Designs Fall Release: Day3

Today I’m so happy to introduce you two new and absolutely adorable Bewitched and Darling Dragons stamp sets filled with lots of incredibly cute images. Both sets come with the coordinating Bewitched and Darling Dragons SugarCuts. Plus there’s an extra amazing new die set called Hocus Pocus.

My first card features Darling Dragons stamp set and Darling Dragons SugarCut.

I started with Strathmore Bristol paper, VersaFine Onyx black ink and Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. Once die cut and stamped some images from Darling Dragons sets, I made a super simple watercoloring.

In case you’re interested, here’s the complete list of all Zig markers I used on this card: n.36 Light Blue – n.41 Light Green – n.51 Lemon Yellow – n.52 Bright Yellow – n.83 Lilac – n.61 Light Brown.

Next I took a piece of the watercolor cardstock from Tim Holtz, masked a triangle shape with a sticky tape and added Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink plus a few blue shades: Tumbled Glass and Mermaid Lagoon. I framed the inked piece using a scalloped die from Card Front Element Builder and popped it on an A2 size white card base. Finally I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Darling Dragons stamp set, arranged all the stamps and adhered them with a bit of dimension.

Next comes super adorable Bewitched stamp set and the coordinating Bewitched SugarCuts. Working on this project I switched to Neenah Solar White paper and Memento Tuxedo Black ink since my intention was to color the images with copic markers.

Here’re all the colors used here: skin E50-E51-E53-E55-R20; hair Y32-YR21-YR24-YR27; RV21-RV23-RV25-RV29; B21-B24-B26; YG93-YG95-YG97; BG11-BG23; YR12-YR16; C00-C1-C3; E30-E33; R00-R24-R29.

For the card front I used the same scalloped frame from Card Front Element Builder and Distress cardstock from Tim Holtz along with a light yellow and blue inks and an ink blending tool. Before stamping the sentiment from Bewitched stamp set, I flicked a few water droplets on the background and finally assemble everything with a bit of dimension and shimmer.

Stamp Focus (ft. Kindness Stamp Set from Crafting Desert Divas)

Hello and welcome!
I’ve popped in today with a quick post and another look on the beautiful floral Kindness stamp set! Missed previous posts?! You can catch them up here and here.

Well, my today’s version is a super simple no-line colored flower cluster made with colored pencils. But before I started the coloring process with my Polychromos pencils, I stamped the big flower stamp set with a light dye ink on Arches Sketch paper. It’s my first time working with this type of paper which is quite thing, but has a nice texture. Once I tested it, I’ll share a more detailed review. Thinking about the layout, I decided to frame the image into a stitched rectangle die cutting it from Fancy Frame Dies and since the Arches paper is not a pure white, I opted for a kraft card base. The sentiment was heat embossed on vellum, fussy cut with scissors and adhered with Multi Medium Matte since this glue dries clear and matte and that makes it really perfect for the clear iridescent sequins as well.

Newton’s Nook Designs May Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Peony Blooms

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Designs May Release!

Today all the Design Team is focusing on another new and so incredibly gorgeous floral stamp set called Peony Blooms that comes with the coordinating die set. These stamps are such a beautiful addition to the NND floral collection and will be loved by all their fans for sure.

I find that when you work with such fabulous images there’s no need to put much into a card design. Instead, I prefer to sit down and just enjoy coloring. Yes, I like to color a lot!!! LOL!!! And so I went for a no-line coloring with colored pencils showcasing new Peony Blooms stamp set.

I started with Neenah Desert Storm cardstock which is my favorite kraft shade and stamped a few peonies with a VersaMark ink. Then I made all the coloring with Polychromos colored pencils and worked one petal at a time trying to add a bit of shading and highlights. Once finished, I die cut all the flowers and leaves with the coordinating dies along with a postage stamp edge frame from just released Framework Die set. Assembling the card, I popped some flowers on a foam tape, heat embossed the sentiment from the same Peony Blooms set on a black cardstock with a white embossing powder and fussy cut it by hand. A few matching sequins added a finish touch to this lovely card.

No Line Coloring With Colored Pencils (ft. Craftin Desert Divas)

Happy Monday!

I’ve popped in for a quick post because I was not able to resists and share with you new and soooooo adorable Magical Princess Digital Stamp!!!

I made a simple digital layout without resizing the digital princess image which already comes perfect for an A2 size card. I only turned the stamp lines from black into a light gray color since I was going to made a no-line coloring while the sentiment was printed in black. Then I took off my Polychromos and Prismacolors pencils and spent some time coloring the cute image. Assembling the card, I framed the princess in a scalloped rectangle using Fancy Frame Dies, added a few white accents with a white gel pen and finally finished with a few clear sequins.
