On my stop for this hop I’m sharing a fun alternative way to use bold stamps! I played with new amazing Tutti Fruiti stamp set and created a watercolor and a little bit artsy looking card! You can watch the entire process right here!

To start I used Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor paper and stamped the fruits from Tutti Fruiti set with Antique Linen Distress ink. Next I took my regular watercolors and painted the fruits! I worked in layers on every single are and went for a non perfect splotchy look.

Finally, I framed the watercolor piece with a scalloped die from Card Front Element Builder set and added a heat embossed sentiment that comes with the same Tutti Fruiti stamp set.

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release and Giveaway – Day 3 – Newton Celebrates and Newton’s New Year

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs November Release!

Today we’re celebrating a return of the mischievous kitty Newton in two new absolutely adorable stamp sets: Newton Celebrates and Newton’s New Year. These stamp sets are really cute, versatile and will cover easily many of the occasions from the upcoming New Year to birthdays and anniversaries! In case you’re wondering, both new sets come with the coordinating dies.

My first card featuring Newton Celebrates stamp set turned out clean and simple.

To start, I took Strathmore Bristol paper, die cut using Newton Celebrates Die Set and stamped the coordinating images from Newton Celebrates stamp set. Next I colored all the cute critters and a few accessories with a water based markers.

Here’s the complete list of all the markers I used:
TOMBOW MARKERS: n.N15, n.090, n.126, n.452, n.533, n.623, n.723, n.947, n.977, n.991.
ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS: n.41 Light Green, n.50 Yellow, n.60 Brown, n.61 Light Brown, n.64 Oatmeal, n.67 Mustard, n.72 Beige, n.83 Ochre, n.95 Mid Gray.

I wanted the colored critters become a main focus on my card and so I kept all the rest clean and simple. The sentiment from the same Newton Celebrates set was heat embossed on a piece of a purple cardstock and a tone on tone white embossing through Confetti stencil gave a finished touch.

Small, but not less adorable Newton’s New Year stamp set can be paired with the largest Newton Celebrates set or used on its own.

Creating this card, I used the same NND products, but gave to this card a colorful twist with a bright background. And so the images were die cut using the coordinating Newton’s New Year Die Set from Bristol paper, stamped with a waterproof black ink and colored with water based markers. The background was inked with Mustard Seeds, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress inks. Next I applied the same Confetti stencil that I used on the first card and added a tone on tone a pattern on top with the same Distress inks along with a few water droplets.

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Poinsettia Blooms and Winter Birds

Today I’m so excited to share with you two really beautiful stamp sets called Poinsettia Blooms and Winter Birds. Both new sets come with the coordinating dies.

Let’s start with Poinsettia Blooms stamp set.

To start, I die cut a large cluster from a hot pressed watercolor paper using Poinsettia Blooms Die Set and heat embossed the coordinating images from Poinsettia Blooms stamp set along with the matching sentiment. Next I colored everything with a water based markers.

Here’s the complete list of all the markers I used:

ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS: n.29 Geranium Red, n.43 Olive Green, n.50 Yellow, n.61 Light Brown.

The background was added through just release yesterday Plaid stencil directly on the kraft card base and the vellum fish-tail tag was die cut with Fancy Edges Tag Die Set.

The beautiful watercolored bird from Winter Birds stamp set was transformed into a CAS card.

I masked and inked with blue tones of Distress inks a circle on a white panel trimmed slightly smaller than a usual A2 size card base, popped the watercolored elements from Winter Birds set on a foam tape and added a few die cut snowflakes from Snowglobe Shaker Die Set for a 3D look.

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release and Giveaway – Day 1 – Christmas Haul, Moose Mountain and Snowman Advice

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook Designs November Release!
I’m super excited and can’t wait to introduce you tons of new fabulous goodies this month!!! Ready??? So let’s start!

NND Design Team is kicking off this week with three super ADORABLE stamp sets and two really fabulous layering stencils. And so we have Moose Mountain and Christmas Haul stamp sets that come with the coordinating dies and Snowman Advice stamp set plus Plaid and Argyle stencils that are so much fun to play with for creating infinite number of patterns.

My first card features a few new products: Moose Mountain stamp set and the coordinating dies plus Plaid stencil.

To start, I die cut from Neenah Solar White paper using the Moose Mountain Die Set and stamped the coordinating images from Moose Mountain stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I had the most wonderful time coloring the cute moose with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, I’m leaving you the complete list of all the markers used here: E30-E31-E33-E35; B000-B00-B01-B02-B04; YR21-YR15-YR68; YG00-YG21-YG23; Y23-Y27; T0-T1; BG10-BG11.

Next I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Moose Mountain stamp set on a piece of a black cardstock and proceeded with the plaid background. New Plaid stencil is a layering one. It means that it has two separate stencils to go one on top of each other. Each individual stencil has marks that will help you to lay the stencils easily. But you can definitely play with both layers and create your own patterns. On this particular background I inked the first layer with Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks keeping my hand light. Next I placed the second layer and added more stripes with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink. Since I felt like my pattern needed more color, I cleaned and then reapplied the second layer another time using Mermaid Lagoon ink more heavily.

Finally I assembled everything using Land Borders Die Set to create a snow slope, added a bit of shimmer with Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen and a few matching sequins.

Next come super adorable Christmas Haul stamp and die sets. My first steps were exactly the same as described on the previous project. Once again I used copic markers for coloring.

Here’s all the exact numbers of copic markers used here: E50-E51-E53-E55; YG00-YG01-YG25;RV00-RV02-RV55; B000-B01-BG15; RV14-RV29.

Next I prepared a square card base where first I added a fun tiny pattern through Petite Snow stencil using Peacock Feathers Distress ink and then inked the whole piece with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I also trimmed another square from a white cardstock, die cut a window inside using Snowglobe Shaker Die Set and finally stamped the sentiment from the same Christmas Haul set with the same black ink I used for stamping the images. At this point I assembled everything with a bit of dimension and an inevitable Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen.

Last but not least comes my project featuring Snowman Advice stamp and Argyle stencil.

The central panel was die cut from Frames & Flags Die Set, inked with a few tones of blue Distress inks and was used to heat emboss the big beautiful sentiment from Snowman Advice stamp set along with a few snowflakes from the same set.

The fun part came with new Argyle stencil used for the background. It’s a layering stencil like the Plaid one we talked before. It also has the marks on both layers for easy alignment, but you can definitely mix and match both layers as you wish. On this project I used twice the layer number one first with Cracked Pistachio and then with Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks. I also used twice the second layer adding Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch colors and ended up with a full colorful pattern where I popped the sentiment panel on a foam tape and embellished with a few matching sequins.

Holiday Card Series 2018 – Clean And Simple plus 2018 Cat Lovers Hop

Hello and welcome!

This week is the 2018 Cat Lovers Hop! This hop is so fun and since the theme is CATS and you know that I’m a crazy cat lady and so I just cannot not play along! To participate in this blog hop, you just have to create a project that features a cat and upload it to the post on Her Peaceful Garden! You totally should play along if you can since there are some really awesome sponsors and prizes, including one from Newton’s Nook Designs!

This time I decided to challenge myself and create a CAS style card. I die cut using the coordinating Santa Paws Newton Die Set and then stamped with copic friendly black ink some adorable cute images from Santa Paws Newton set. Next I colored everything as you can guess with copic markers. And the adorable kitty is obviously colored as my sweet furry boy Thomas. He is Sacred Birman cat.

Arranging all the elements on the card base, I stacked a few layers of “Merry” die from Holiday Greetings Die Set and paired it with a heat embossed “Bright” from Sentiments Of The Season stamp set.
