Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with quite a simple card featuring Wheelie Amazing stamp set!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

I kept everything very easy today! To start, I die cut all the shapes I needed for this project from Neenah Solar White paper using Wheelie Amazing SugarCut. I kept the negative parts of the dies and used them in my MISTI tool to help with the alignment while I was making the stamping with the coordinating Wheelie Amazing stamp set. I used Blueprint Sketch Distress ink for the bike and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the outline stamps since it’s copic friendly. I colored all the images, as you can guess, with alcohol markers.

In case you’re interested, I’m leaving here all the exact colors used on the card: COPIC Y11-Y13-Y17; B21-B23; B01-B04-B06; YG01-YG03-YG17.

I embellished the background with a brick pattern applied through English Bond Brick Wall Stencil with Deco Foil Champagne Mist Metallix embossing gel and heat embossed the sentiment with the matching platinum embossing powder. Finally I popped all the elements on a foam tape arranging them on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) and added a finish touch with a clear shimmer pen and a few matching sequins.

Happy Graduation Card (ft. SugarPea Designs)

Happy Graduation #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - For The Graduate stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I came up with a clean and simple graduation card featuring a few lovely dies from For The Graduate SugarCut and Congrats Word SugarCut along with a beautiful Leaf Canopy Stencil.

To start, I prepared all the die cut elements using For The Graduate SugarCut. I die cut the biggest graduation cap from a plain white cardstock and then glued on top the smaller hat, die cut from a black cardstock. I handmade a little tassel using a gold thread, added it to the top part of the hat and finished with an additional cap top popped on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look. A diploma base was die cut from a light gray color. I popped on top a white die cut center and finished with the metallic gold details. The last die cut element was Congrats Word. I glued together two layers die cut from a white cardstock and added a gold metallic layer on top, creating this way a nice thick element that holds the shape.

I decided to add some color to the background through Leaf Canopy Stencil using Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks with foam sponges. I added a few water droplets to the pattern along with some white and gold splashes and let everything air dry. Meanwhile I heat embossed “Happy Graduation” sentiment using VersaMark ink and a fine gold embossing powder and repeatedly stamped the laurel leaves with a black ink towards the right side of an extended A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) white card base. Finally I assembled all the elements together with a bit of dimension and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins.

Spring Gives Us So Many Reasons To Be Happy #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with a cheerful and bright spring card featuring Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

I kept everything very easy today and just enjoyed coloring the adorable images from Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set with watercolor markers. To start, I die cut all the shapes I needed for this project from Strathmore Bristol paper using the coordinating Sprout Bloom Grow SugarCut. Next I made the stamping using Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set, VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof and my MISTI tool. I colored all the elements with Tombow markers and left them aside to air dry.

In case you’re interested, I’m leaving here all the exact colors used on the card: TOMBOW MARKERS N79, 055, 133, 173, 452, 676, 685, 725, 873, 925, 933, 977, 992,

The layout of the card base was inspired by the graphic created for the SPD April challenge. I masked the background with a piece of a post-it tape and inked a leaf pattern through Leaf Canopy Stencil with Twisted Citron Distress ink and the blending brush. Next I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Sprout Bloom Grow stamp set on a strip of vellum and started assembling all the elements together. I popped the colored images on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins.

Guest Design For Sunny Studio Stamps

Best Wishes #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps and dies are by Sunny Studio Stamps #sunnystudiostamps

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to guest designing for Sunny Studio Stamps today! For this post I came up with a few lovely floral cards perfect for a spring time!

Best Wishes #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps and dies are by Sunny Studio Stamps #sunnystudiostamps

My first card features beautiful Pink Peonies stamp and die sets. I decided for a clean and simple design since I wanted to keep the main focus on beautiful flowers and coloring. To start, I die cut three flowers and some leaves from Neenah Solar White paper using the coordinating Pink Peonies Dies. I saved the negative parts of all the dies and used them into my MISTI tool for a perfect alignment while I was stamping the open images from Pink Peonies stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink since it’s copic friendly. Next I colored all the elements with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC RV0000-RV00-RV21-RV23-RV25-RV29; YG00-YG01-YG23-YG25; G02-G05-G40.

Assembling all the elements together, I prepared an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) and a slightly smaller rectangle of a light grey patterned paper from Subtle Grey Tones paper pad where was cut out a circle window large enough to stamp “Best Wishes” sentiment inside. I popped all the piece on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins and a coat of a clear shimmer pen.

Working on my second project, I switched to watercolors. The easiest way to use this color media and achieve a great effect is to pair it with heat embossing. In fact, the heat embossing makes the stamp lines raised above the paper surface and keeps separate every single area avoiding the contamination of colors.

This time I picked together all the flowers and leaves from Pink Peonies stamp set on my compact stamp press, inked them with VersaMark clear sticky ink, stamped on a piece of watercolor paper, sprinkled with a fine white embossing powder and zapped with the heat gun. I die cut all the heat embossed shaped using the coordinating Pink Peonies Dies and proceeded with coloring using some regular watercolors from my stash.

Once finished with flowers and leaves, I decided to created a matching watercolor background and a heat embossed sentiment that was fussy with a pair of harp small scissors and then glued directly to the card base. The flowers were popped on a foam tape just for some little extra finish touch along with a few clear drops.

Next comes a card featuring die cutting technique and a wonderful Blooming Frame Die. To start, I trimmed and scored an extended A2 size green card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). I die cut and glued on top of the card front the amazing Blooming Frame.

Then I made more die cutting, working with a small flower die that comes as a part of Blooming Frame Die set. I grabbed some scraps of the colorful cardstock from my stash and created a bunch of colorful flowers and the same amount of white flower centers. I arranged all the die cut elements on the card front adhering some of them directly to the card base and popping the others on a foam tape. Finally I added a metallic gold sentiment from Pink Peonies stamp set that was heat embossed on a piece of vellum and fussy cut with scissors. As a final touch I added some tiny shimmer gold spots here and there to tie the sentiment with the rest of the card.

That’s all for today! Hope these spring floral cards will inspire you! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Celebrate Card For SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #65

Celebrate #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Birthday Balloons stamp set by SugarPea Designs #sugarpeadesigns

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with almost one layer all occasion card featuring a basic copic coloring and a great way to get more from the coordinating dies.

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

I love one layer cards and masking techniques that are used for creating one layer scenes though, honestly, I’m a bit lazy sometimes to fussy cut the masking paper. I often prefer to die cut every single stamp, make coloring and then assemble all the elements together on the background. But fantastic Party Balloon SugarCut from SugarPea Designs makes your and my lives much easier because it matches perfectly the outlines of Birthday Balloons stamp set. So no fussy cutting was needed this time! I managed to die cut quickly all the masks from a masking paper with the coordinating SugarCut and used them to stamp the balloons one on top of the other with copic friendly Memento Tuxedo Black ink.

Actually this project is made with two masking techniques and both are super quick and easy because of the dies. As I mentioned before, first I masked and stamped all the balloons. Then I prepared the second mask die cutting a circle from Zig Zag Stitched Circles SugarCut inside a rectangle trimmed to an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). I positioned the negative part of the die in the center of the background keeping the balloon masks in place. I inked the circle window with Peacock Feather Distress Oxide ink and a blending brushe and finally was able to lift all the masks and proceed with copic coloring.

As always, these are all the colors combos of copic markers used on this project: RV0000-RV00-RV10-RV02; YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG05; Y0000-Y00-Y11-Y15; Y00-Y11-Y15-Y17-YR14; YR000-YR00-YR02.

Once finished with coloring, I slightly trimmed the colored piece and popped it on an A2 size white card base along with a heat embossed sentiment from the same Birthday Balloons set and a few clear sparkling sequins.

Hope you like this clean and simple card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!

Hugs,
Tatiana
