It's A Plan #handmade planner spread by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - It's A Plan stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

NND is kicking off this week with fun new designs made for all the planners! And so we have It’s a Plan and Newton Makes Plans stamp sets plus the the coordinating Newton Makes Plans dies that will make your life much easier and allow to die cut all the sweet kitties in no time!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving both new stamp sets away to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

I’m starting this year with something really new to me! I’ve designed and embellished a weekly planner spread using both new It’s a Plan and Newton Makes Plans stamp sets!

It's A Plan #handmade planner spread by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - It's A Plan stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I decided to keep the color combo limited on these pages and used two complimentary colors green and orange. I stamped a few colorful banners, arrows and hearts from It’s a Plan stamp set to make my pages look cheerful and bright. Next I added the sweet kitties from Newton Makes Plans along with the matching words from the first set. I decided to keep everything quite simple and so I only colored the kitties’ accessories with the matching green and orange colors! So fun and cute!

Since I’m an avid carmaker, I just cannot stretch the planner sets more and come with a cute card!

Let Your Dreams Take Flight #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton Makes Plans stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

To start, I die cut using Newton Makes Plans Die Set from Neenah Solar White paper some cute kitties, stamped the coordinating images from Newton Makes Plans stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored them with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, I’m leaving you the complete list of all the markers used here: T0-T1-T3; C0-C1-C2-C3; W00-W1-W3; E30-E31-E33; E41-E42-E43; Y11-Y32-Y35-Y17; YR15-YR21-YR24-YR68; YG01-YG05; R11-R24-R29; BG10; B21-B24.

Arranging all the cute images on a regular white A2 size car base, I simply stamped with the same black ink I used before the big sentiment from Uplifting Wishes stamp set and then popped the colored kitties around! A little touch of a clear shimmer pen finishes this cute card!

Holiday Card Series 2018 With Rubber Stamps From Purple Onion Designs

In The Meadow We Can Build A Snowman #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and so impatient to share last cards from my Holiday Card Series 2018! Thanks soooooo much for all your love and support! May your holiday season be wonderful, peaceful and filled with love!!!

In The Meadow We Can Build A Snowman #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

This year I had a chance to make a little collaboration with Purple Onion Designs and used for the first time their unmounted deeply etched red rubber stamps. I was really impressed by the quality of their products and even though I used a regular acrylic block for stamping instead of a usual stamping poisoning tool, I managed to achieve good impressions on the paper both with Memento Tuxedo Black and VersaFine Onyx Black inks. I haven’t had on hand the accessories necessary to mount this type of stamps, but simply used a bit of non-permanent runner tape on the regular acrylic block as I needed something to stick the stamps to their surface.

My first card is turned out as a soft winter scene colored with watercolor markers and Distress inks. I used a snowman and a few scene building stamps from Purple Onion Designs, stamped them with VersaFine Onyx Black ink on a Strathmore Bristol paper and then fussy cut with small sharp scissors leaving a little white edge around.

Here’s the complete list of all the colors used:
Tombow Markers n.090, n.126, n.452, n.623, n.673, n.723, n.991, n.946, n.977;
Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Markers n.50 Yellow, n.70 Orange, n.80 Violet.

I had no problems to get a very good impression with a copic friendly inks too although the stamp lines on this cute fox from Purple Onion Designs are so tiny.  Even the bold sentiment worked so well! Besides I just love this style of bubble speech!

And here’s the complete list of all the copic markers used on this card: YR21-YR15-YR68; YG00-YG21-YG23; W00-W1-W2-W3; C00-C2-C3.

Since I wanted to keep the main focus on the fox and coloring, I opted for a soft tone-on-tone background using a few shades of blue Distress inks and a Snowfall stencil from Newton’s Nook Designs.

Warmest Wishes #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

Last but definitely not least, we have a fun Christmas stockings. I stamped a few on Strathmore Bristol paper, the same I used on my first card, using the same VersaFine Onyx Black ink.

Warmest Wishes #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

The color choice was on a traditional holiday reds and greens. I used:

Tombow Markers n.N15, n.126, n.885;
Zig Clean Colour Real Brush Marker n.29 Geranium Red.

I like to get creative with the supplies and think out of boxes and so Snow Fort stamp was looking for me like the bricks on the fireplace. I inked it partially with a brown dye ink and stamped here and there creating the background on this project!!!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Holiday Card Series 2018 – Joyful Tidings

Joyful Tidings #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Poinsettia Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing another holiday card with beautiful poinsettias!

Joyful Tidings #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Poinsettia Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

To start I took Neenah Solar White paper and die cut a bunch of small elements from Poinsettia Blooms Die Set. Then helping myself with a stamping positioning tool for a quick stamping, I added the outlines on the die cuts using the matching Poinsettia Blooms stamp set and a copic friendly black ink. Next I proceeded with coloring using copic markers as you guessed!

In case we’re wondering, here’re all the exact copic markers I used on this card: YG21-YG93-YG95-YG97; YG17-YG67-G28; G09; R22-R24-R27-R29-R39.

Joyful Tidings #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Poinsettia Blooms stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Creating the background, I played with a fun Argyle Stencil Set. I used three different tones of Distress green inks: Twisted Citron, Crushed Olive, Peeled Paint and shifted both layers of Argyle Stencil a few times to achieve a full pattern. I also added a few water droplet and colorful splashes on top for more interest. The sentiment from Winter Memories stamp set was simply heat embossed on a piece of a red cardstock with a white embossing paste. Finally I arranged all the elements on regular A2 size card base and adhered with a bit of dimension.

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

You're Snow Much Fun #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mountain Moose stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Working on this project I started with a die cutting process and created a snow hill using Land Borders Die Set along with the coordinating cut from Moose Mountain Die Set. Next I aligned the negative part of the moose in my stamping positioning tool and added the coordinating image plus the sentiment both from the same Moose Mountain stamp set using a black copic friendly ink. Before proceeding with coloring, I prepared a regular A2 size card base, inked it with a light blue tones of Distress inks and then added a snow pattern through Petite Snow stencil using a white embossing paste. While the embossing paste was drying, I colored the moose with copic markers and finally popped everything together using a foam tape for a bit of dimension.
In case you’re interested, here’s the complete list of all the copic markers used here: B0000-B01-B02-B04-B05-B39; Y18-YR04-YR07-E09; E40-E42-E42-E43; T0-T1-T3; Y21-Y26.

Newton’s Nook Designs November Release and Giveaway – Day 1 – Christmas Haul, Moose Mountain and Snowman Advice

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the Newton’s Nook Designs November Release!
I’m super excited and can’t wait to introduce you tons of new fabulous goodies this month!!! Ready??? So let’s start!

All the new November products will be available for purchase on Friday, November 23th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Make The Moose Out Of Life! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mountain Moose stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

NND Design Team is kicking off this week with three super ADORABLE stamp sets and two really fabulous layering stencils. And so we have Moose Mountain and Christmas Haul stamp sets that come with the coordinating dies and Snowman Advice stamp set plus Plaid and Argyle stencils that are so much fun to play with for creating infinite number of patterns.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving a $25 store credit to Newton’s Nook Designs to a lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My first card features a few new products: Moose Mountain stamp set and the coordinating dies plus Plaid stencil.

Make The Moose Out Of Life! #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mountain Moose stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

To start, I die cut from Neenah Solar White paper using the Moose Mountain Die Set and stamped the coordinating images from Moose Mountain stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I had the most wonderful time coloring the cute moose with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, I’m leaving you the complete list of all the markers used here: E30-E31-E33-E35; B000-B00-B01-B02-B04; YR21-YR15-YR68; YG00-YG21-YG23; Y23-Y27; T0-T1; BG10-BG11.

Next I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Moose Mountain stamp set on a piece of a black cardstock and proceeded with the plaid background. New Plaid stencil is a layering one. It means that it has two separate stencils to go one on top of each other. Each individual stencil has marks that will help you to lay the stencils easily. But you can definitely play with both layers and create your own patterns. On this particular background I inked the first layer with Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks keeping my hand light. Next I placed the second layer and added more stripes with Spiced Marmalade Distress ink. Since I felt like my pattern needed more color, I cleaned and then reapplied the second layer another time using Mermaid Lagoon ink more heavily.

Finally I assembled everything using Land Borders Die Set to create a snow slope, added a bit of shimmer with Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen and a few matching sequins.

'tis The Season To Be Fabulous #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Christmas Haul stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Next come super adorable Christmas Haul stamp and die sets. My first steps were exactly the same as described on the previous project. Once again I used copic markers for coloring.

Here’s all the exact numbers of copic markers used here: E50-E51-E53-E55; YG00-YG01-YG25;RV00-RV02-RV55; B000-B01-BG15; RV14-RV29.

'tis The Season To Be Fabulous #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Christmas Haul stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Next I prepared a square card base where first I added a fun tiny pattern through Petite Snow stencil using Peacock Feathers Distress ink and then inked the whole piece with Tumbled Glass Distress ink. I also trimmed another square from a white cardstock, die cut a window inside using Snowglobe Shaker Die Set and finally stamped the sentiment from the same Christmas Haul set with the same black ink I used for stamping the images. At this point I assembled everything with a bit of dimension and an inevitable Wink of Stella Clear Brush Pen.

Last but not least comes my project featuring Snowman Advice stamp and Argyle stencil.

Snowman Advice #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Snowman Advice stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

The central panel was die cut from Frames & Flags Die Set, inked with a few tones of blue Distress inks and was used to heat emboss the big beautiful sentiment from Snowman Advice stamp set along with a few snowflakes from the same set.

Snowman Advice #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Snowman Advice stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

The fun part came with new Argyle stencil used for the background. It’s a layering stencil like the Plaid one we talked before. It also has the marks on both layers for easy alignment, but you can definitely mix and match both layers as you wish. On this project I used twice the layer number one first with Cracked Pistachio and then with Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks. I also used twice the second layer adding Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch colors and ended up with a full colorful pattern where I popped the sentiment panel on a foam tape and embellished with a few matching sequins.
