Holiday Card Series 2020 – Snow-One Else Like You! (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Snow-one Else Like You #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Snowman Greetings stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!

I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a cute winter card featuring new Snowman Greetings and Snowfall Roundabout stamp sets! I looooooove so much the adorable snowman from Snowman Greetings set since it has the cutest design and can incorporate the greetings inside the wood sign. Just genius!!!

To start, I die cut the snowman using the coordinating Snowman Greetings Die Set on Copic X-Press paper. I saved the negative part of the die and used it as a guide inside the MISTI tool to help me with the alignment while I was stamping the outline image with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Finally I colored the snowman with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, I’m leaving all the exact colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS

The snowflakes from Snowfall Roundabout were heat embossed in white on Neenah Solar White paper. I blended on top Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink with a very light hand, creating an ombré effect. Finally the snowflake background was framed inside the circle, die cut from the coordinating Circle Frames Die Set, and popped on an extended A2 size kraft card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) along with the snowman. A generous coat of a clear shimmer pen and some matching sequins finished this winter card!

Holidays Card Series 2020 – Happy Winter (ft. Purple Onion Designs)

Happy Winter #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

Hello and welcome!!!

Today I’m sharing a cute and simple winter scene featuring some fabulous rubber stamps by Purple Onion Designs  illustrated by Julian Charlton.

To start, I stamped a few super fun characters and a couple of accessories from Happy Winter Forest Friends set. I worked on on Copic X-Press paper and used Memento Tuxedo Black ink since it’s copic friendly. I fussy cut all the elements with my sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around. Before switching to coloring, I finished the stamping with a big background set on Neenah Solar White paper. The Autumnal Tree illustration that completed my scene, goes perfectly for every season, in my opinion.

And here’re all the colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS fox YR000-YR02-YR04-YR09-E08; rabbit and fox T0-T1-T3-T5; tree and log E40-E41-E42-E43-E44; birds Y11-Y13-Y18-Y21; leaves G40-G82; YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG25-YG67; R30-R32-R35-R39; BG10-BG32; B00.

Since the background was a little bit tricky to mask, I decided to skip this step. I took a small blending brush and inked the sky portion with Tumbled Glass Distress ink keeping my hand very light towards the tree parts before proceeding with copic coloring. Then, once finished with coloring, I added some tiny droplets of a white gouache for a falling snow effect. The cute scene was completed with a snow slope and the matching heat embossed in white onto red sentiment that comes from the same Happy Winter Forest Friends set.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this cute winter card that can be used not only for the holiday greetings!

As always thanks so much for stopping by!

Tatiana

Deck The Halls #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Candy Cane stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook
Today, just to stay on topic, I decided to hang up some holiday ornaments along with the cutest mischievous kitty on my card front. To start, I made the die cutting to achieve all the shapes I needed, using the coordinating Newton’s Candy Cane Die and Holiday Lights Die sets plus my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I worked on Copic X-Press paper and made the stamping with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, using the outline illustrations from Newton’s Candy Cane stamp and Holiday Lights stamp sets. Next I colored all the stamps with copic markers.

An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) was trimmed and scored from Neenah Solar White paper. I stamped the matching sentiment from Christmas Trimmings stamp set in the top right conner and then added a couple of tone on tone snowflakes through Snowfall stencil with a plain white embossing paste. I let the embossing paste air dry and then hand draw the stitched lines with a black marker. Finally I popped all the colored stamps on a foam tape. A generous coat of a clear shimmer pen and a few sparkling sequins gave a finished touch to this project.

Holiday Card Series 2020 – Let’s Fa La La (ft. Purple Onion Designs)

Let's Fa La La #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - stamps by Purple Onion Designs

Hello and welcome!!!

I’ve popped in with a quick post since I would like to share another card from my 2020 Holiday Card Series!

This project is really simple to recreate and it doesn’t require any particular skills at all. The cute Christmas scene is made from a couple of new rubber stamps by Purple Onion Designs “The Sweetest Little Town” collection. To start, I stamped Sparkle Tree, Tinsel (squirrel decorating) and Chestnut (bear with ornaments) on Copic X-Press paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I fussy cut all the outline illustrations with my sharp small scissors, leaving a little white edge around, and then colored all the elements with copic markers.

Wondering about the colors used by me? Here’s the complete list: COPIC MARKERS bear E0000-E30-E31-E33-E35; squirrel E70-E71-E74-E77 plus T0-T1-T3-T5; stool E41-E42-E43; YG11-G40-G43-G82-G94; R81-R83-R85; B21-B24; Y00-Y13-Y11-Y21-Y35.

An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was trimmed and scored from Neenah Solar White paper. While the kraft background was created on Neenah Desert Storm cardstock. The wood floor was simply stamped with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink using Cabin Background. The brick pattern was inked through SugarPea Designs English Bold Brick Wall stencil using the same Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink for a tone on tone look and the small blending brush. Finally a few droplets of a white gouache finished the background. The colored elements were popped on a foam tape for a bit of dimension and a coat of a clear shimmer pen along with the matching pink sentiment from Holiday Blurbs I stamp set gave the final touch to this holiday scene.

Stay Frosty #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Snowman Roundabout stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today I’m so happy to introduce you amazing Snowman Roundabout stamp set. Love the gorgeous design of this new set filled with lots beautiful details! As you can guess, Snowman Roundabout stamp set coordinates perfectly with Circle Frames Die and Banner Trio Die sets like other products from the NND Roundabout collection.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away new Snowman Roundabout stamp set to a lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

My card turned out as a clean and simple project! To start, I placed the big illustration from Snowman Roundabout stamp set inside the MISTI tool since I like to ink and stamp the image a couple of times to get a good impression with nice and black outlines. I used Copic X-Press paper and and Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then proceeded with coloring.

As always, I’m sharing the complete list of all COPIC MARKERS used here: R21-R24-R29; RV00-RV02-RV04; RV10-RV13-RV25; Y11-Y13-Y18; YR00-YR04-YR09-YR17; BG10-BG15-BG34; YG01-YG05-YG09; E43; cheeks R00.

Once finished with coloring, I transformed Snowman Roundabout stamp into a Christmas ornament by using Circle Frames Die and Ornamental Shaker Die sets. The whole project was arranged on an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) made from Neenah Solar White paper. I glued directly on the card front a light gray patterned paper from Subtle Grey Tones paper pad. The other layers were popped on a foam tape to give a bit of a fun dimensional look. The sentiment from the same Snowman Roundabout stamp set was heat embossed with a fine white embossing powder on grey. As finish touches, I added a few Crystal White Nuvo Drops along with some matching sequins, white gel pen details and a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen.
