Thank You Pop Up Shaker Card

Happy Friday!

I’ve popped in for a super quick post just to share this pop up shaker card I’ve made a few days ago.

Thank You #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mini Thank You stamp set by Studio Katia #studiokatia

Do you remember that recently Newton’s Nook Designs and Studio Katia made a super fun summer blog hop showcasing NND stamps paired with SK dies! If not, you can check my post right here. Katia was sooooooo kind to send me some extra goodies including this Mini Thank You stamp set! And so I thought that it would be a perfect way to say thank you creating a small 4 Bar card for her!

Thank You #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mini Thank You stamp set by Studio Katia #studiokatia

I started this card with a shaker element die-cutting 5 times Inside Scalloped Circle Dies from Craftin Desert Divas. First I colored with copic markers the inside part of the die, making a gradient background and adding some details with a copic colorless blender and only then heat embossed with a white embossing powder the beautiful hand written sentiment from Mini Thank You set. Make sure to follow the same order since embossing could ruin your copic markers!!!

Assembling the card, I stacked together the frame elements of the Inside Scalloped Circle Dies and put like a puzzle the negative part inside. The shaker part was popped up on top of the card base previously embossed with an embossing paste creating non-distractive white on white irregular dots pattern. The inside element was filled with a mix of sequins that had some pretty butterfly confetti inside (sorry, cannot find the link to this mix) and a few matching butterflies colored with copics from the same Mini Thank You were applied on the card base.

That’s all for today! Hope you like this clean simple card with a pop up shaker element!  Have a great week-end!

Tatiana

Craftin Desert Divas – May Release Day 1

Hello and welcome!

I’m sooooo excited to be up on the Craftin Desert Divas blog today sharing a few cute projects!!!

Thanks A Bushel #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Market Stand stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Today is also the first day of the Craftin Desert Divas May Release and so I just couldn’t help playing with the FANTASTIC new stamps and dies! In fact, I mixed and matched a few new stamps and dies and have two fun projects to share!

Thanks A Bushel #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Market Stand stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

The first clean and simple card features an AMAZING new MARKET STAND stamp set. I particularly LOVE this one since it filled with a super adorable images that offer you infinite possibilities of use and suit any kind of paper crafting project: cards, tags, scrapbook layouts, planners, treat bags!

Thanks A Bushel #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Market Stand stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Since the stamps from MARKET STAND set are so adorable, I thought that a clean and simple look would be perfect for my card! I started with A2 size card base made out of a Bristol paper and created a non-distractive background, inkblending a very light blue Distress ink from one corner. Then I went a little bit crazy, stamping and fussy-cutting a whole bunch of the images from the set. I worked with a copic friendly paper and ink at this point since my intention was to color everything with copic markers. Please, scroll down towards the bottom of this post to see all the exact copic marker numbers I used for coloring!

Once completed coloring, I stamped the sentiment from the same MARKET STAND set, popped up all the elements on a foam tape and added a few crystal clear sequins as a finish touch.

My  second card is completely different from the previous one! In fact, I used dies and digital stamps all from the CDD new May release and a few fun watercolor techniques as well!

I started with a 3 by 9 inches watercolor panel and the slightly larger coordinating card base that once scored measures 3 ½ by 9 inches. First I die-cut the watercolor paper 3 times using new GARDEN BORDER die set and ended up with 4 more or less equal pieces. I smooched some Distress inks onto a craft sheet, spritzed them with water and put my watercolor paper on top. I repeated the process a few times, heat drying the paper every time. The top die-cut part was colored in a light blue shade since it was going to be a sky portion for my scene, on the others I used a few brown shades, instead, to emulate soil.

While the watercolor elements were drying, I printed on a Bristol paper with a laser printer a few cute digital stamps: No Bunny Like You, Carrot Harvest and Harvest Crates; watercolor them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, cut out right against the stamp edge and hide any imperfection from cutting, applying a black marker all around every image.

Plant Smiles #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Garden Border die set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Finally I literary rooted my carrots into the soil part as GARDEN BORDER die makes the fantastic marks into your paper that allow you to insert any kind of plant inside, and adhered the top part with a foam tape for some dimension and interest. The sentiment from LADYBUG GARDEN stamp set was simply heat embossed at the bottom with a white embossing powder.

That all for today! Hope you like these lovely cards! As always thanks so much for stopping by! And please, check Craftin Desert Divas Event Page on Facebook for more inspiration, amazing projects and sneak peeks from the Design Team, freebies and awesome giveaways!

Hello guys!

I’ve popped in for a super quick post just to share a brand new Joyful Day digi stamp from Craftin Desert Divas. Hurry up! You can get it here for free now!

I printed this cute squirrel riding a bike on a toner gray paper, simply colored with color pencils and die-cut using a scalloped frame from Fancy Frame Dies set. I also used a colorful plaid pattern paper from Easter Express Paper Pad and transformed my card into a “Thank You” one adding the sentiment from Simply Said stamp set just because it’s always so handful to have a few “thanks” cards in the stash!

Stretch Your Digital Stamps Card Series – No-Line Watercoloring (ft. Craftin Desert Divas)

Thanks A Latte #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Bunny Latte digital stamp by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Happy Friday!

So happy you joined me! I thought it would be interesting to put up a new card series here on my blog featuring digital stamps. Well, I still use more and prefer actual stamps, but I would like to talk about why you may want to try digital ones. I’ll illustrate the advantages of them and showcase the possible ways of use. Hope you like the idea and will find it interesting!

Thanks A Latte #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Bunny Latte digital stamp by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Today I’m going talk about no-line coloring with digital stamps! I’m IN LOVE with this adorable bunny from Craftin Desert Divas Bunny Latte Digital Stamp and wanted to watercolor it. By now I did a few attempts printing digital stamps on different watercolor papers, but had no success since the watercolor papers are textured! So I figured out this simple way to transfer the image!

Thanks A Latte #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Bunny Latte digital stamp by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

I started by printing Bunny Latte Digital Stamp on a printer paper. The type of paper doesn’t matter at this point. Then I cut a piece of watercolor paper slightly smaller than my A2 size card base and put my printed image underneath fixing it with a few stripes of post tape. Now if you have a light box, use it to trace the image outlines on your watercolor paper. And if, like me, you don’t have the light box, well, put your paper against the window and you’ll be able to transfer the cute bunny on your watercolor piece.

I kept the pencil lines very soft and then went over with an eraser leaving only very light outlines since I wanted my bunny to be white! On this particular card I used a high quality cold pressed watercolor paper and some professional watercolors! But you definitely can use any watercolor paper you have on hand and any watercolor media included watercolor pencils and distress or dye inks for this technique!

Thanks A Latte #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Bunny Latte digital stamp by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivasI kept this card clean and simple leaving the main focus on the watercolor piece. The sentiment that I used here also comes with Bunny Latte Digital Stamp. I cut out a simple fish-tail banner and added a little bit of color on it because the white card stock I used for printing didn’t match a slightly creamy color of the watercolor paper.

That’s all for today! Hope you like the idea and will give it a try! Here’s the link to my previous post from Stretch Your Digital Stamps Card Series where I talk about building a digital scene. And please, stay tuned! There are still so many arguments and some great tips and tricks to cover!

As always thanks so much for stopping by! And if you have any question, please, leave it in the comment area below!

Many Thanks #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Cottage Garden Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I decided to make a “thanks” card since there would never be enough in my stash and started by stamping with dye inks a bunch of flowers and leaves on a white card stock. My color choice was on pinky-peachy, orange and yellowy-green shades. Once finished stamping, I die-cut all the elements with the coordinating dies that come very handy for this set since it has so many little stamps with round shapes. I also die-cut a tag from NND Tags Times Two Die set and started arranging all the elements on a light gray base.

Many Thanks #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Cottage Garden Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I popped up almost all the die-cuts on a foam tape to bring some dimension and a little extra something to the card, but if you are worried about shipping, you can definitely adhere everything flat. And finally I added a bow made out of a paper string and a few clear crystal drops from Nuvo.
