STAMPtember Exclusive: Pocket Full of Happy Stamp Set from Newton’s Nook Designs

Remember, this item is ONLY available through Simon Says Stamp while supplies last!And here’s my inspirational project for you! I played with all the super adorable images from Pocket Full of Happy stamp set and arranged them in a simple layout with a faux clothesline! To start, I stamped all the critters on Neenah Solar White paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I colored all the stamps with copic markers and then fussy cut with my favorite sharp small scissors since I didn’t have the coordinating dies.

As always, I’m sharing all the exact colors used on this project: COPIC dog on the left E30-E31-E33-E35 plus 100; cat YR30-Y21-Y35-YR14 plus RV21-RV0000; dog on the right Y11-Y26-YR31-YR24-E99; pockets B91-B93-B95-B97; C00-C1.

An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was made from the same Neenah Solar White paper. I added a cloudy background inked with Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks through NND Cloudy Sky Stencil using the blending brushes. I flicked some tiny water droplets and splashed of white gouache on my inked background to add some interest. The sentiment from Pocket Full of Happy stamp set was simply stamped towards the bottom edge of the card front with Memento Tuxedo Black ink for a perfect match. Finally the colored stamps were popped on a foam tape and arranged across the sky portion with a twine underneath.

Today’s I decided to stretch more the beautiful products from the new fall release, mixing and matching some of them in a creative way: amazing Torn Strips Stencil with colorful stripes from Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut; gorgeous Thanks Word With Shadow SugarCut with a tiny heart from Beautiful Books Die Set.

To start, I die cut a stitched rectangle using Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut from Neenah Solar White paper and applied on top a white embossing paste through Torn Strips Stencil. I purposely didn’t try to achieve a smooth and even layer of the embossing paste, but preferred a more textured and uneven pattern with some gaps and crannies. I set the embossed piece aside to air dry well while I proceeded working on the rest of the card.

I prepared an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) from the same Neenah Solar White paper that I used previously for a perfect match of whites and die cut many colorful stripes from the scarps that I had in my stash using again Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut. The colorful stripes were arranged in a rainbow order and adhered vertically directly on the card base. The Thanks Word was die cut three times, stacked together with Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive (since it dries matte and clear) and glued to the Shadow part made from vellum. Finally I cut out the embossed rectangle at an angle using Tonic trimmer and popped the top and bottom pieces on a foam tape. The sentiment were glued directly to the card front and a small die cut heart from Beautiful Books SugarCut gave a finish touch to this colorful project.

And here’s what I came up with for you today! Quite simple project featuring heat embossing technique and some simple ink blending! To start, I inked a piece of Bristol paper with Twisted Citron, Peeled Paint and Moved Lawn Distress inks and the blending brushes, trying to get an ombré effect. I heat set well the ink and then heat embossed on top Autumn Background stamp using a fine white embossing powder. I die cut the achieved pattern with new just released yesterday Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut and then popped the squares on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) made from Neenah Solar White paper.

Next I stamped two tiny pumpkins from Autumn Blessings set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and heat embossed “Give Thanks” sentiment on a piece of a black cardstock. I fussy cut all the elements with my sharp small scissors, leaving a little edge around. The pumpkins were colored with copic markers and then popped on a foam tape along with the heat embossed sentiment. A few matching sequins added a finish touch to this card.

Purple Onion Designs New Under The Sea & It’s a Pirate’s Life Collections By Shari Bresciani

My first card turned out very cheerful and bright! I mixed and matched lots of different stamps from new Under The Sea Collection. I worked on Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink since it’s waterproof. I stamped, heat set and fussy cut with my sharp small scissors all the elements I needed for the scene, leaving a little white edge around.

I colored all the stamps with Tombow markers and a small waterbrush from Pentel. The “sea water” rectangle was simply watercolored on a piece of an inexpensive watercolor paper that I have on hands. I use regular watercolors for this element and purposely kept the watercoloring very splotchy and uneven for a fun effect. The sentiment from Sea-timents Set was heat embossed on a narrow strip of a black cardstock. Finally I could arrange all the elements on a faux dotted panel die cut from SugarPea Designs Card Front Element Builder II set along with a small slightly offset rectangle window. A few clear droplets gave a finish touch to this project.

SugarPea Designs Sweet 2 Repeat Insta Hop

On my stop for this hop I’m sharing some cuties from adorable Cottontail Cuties stamp set. I looooove so much all the small elements that allow to create sweet scenes. To start, I made all the die cutting using the coordinating Cottontail Cuties SugarCut. I worked on Neenah Solar White paper since it’s copic friendly and it’s also perfect as a card base. My MISTI tool came very handy for the stamping this time. I used the negative parts of the dies to help me with the alignment and managed to make multiple images in no-time. I chose Memento Tuxedo Black ink for stamping the open images from Cottontail Cuties stamp set since it’s meant to work with alcohol markers.

Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil is a perfect match for the cutest little elements from Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil. I used Distress inks and the blending brushes with a very light hand to add the sky background. In terms of colors I used Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks to create the outdoor scene on the background. I popped all the colored elements along with a heat embossed sentiment on a foam tape and finished with generous coat of a clear shimmer pen.
