It’s a long post filled with many pictures and I’ll try to be as short as possible giving you some details, tips and tricks. So if you have any questions, please, leave them in the comment area below and I’ll be happy to answer!!!
I’m starting with fabulous Narly Mermaids stamp set. I used the coordinating dies and die cut a bunch of cute characters from Neenah Solar White paper and colored everything with copic markers.
Here’s the complete list of the colors I used here: Y11-Y13-Y15; YR000-YR00-YR02-YR04-YR07; R30-R32-R05-R08; BG000-BG10-BG11-BG13-BG15; V01-V04; E50-E51-E53-E55-R20.
The fish background was added with a white embossing paste through new Seashells stencil and once dried slightly shaded with Antique Linen Distress ink to make show better the pattern. The stitched rectangle from Frames & Flags Die Set was “colored” with Wilted Violet, Blueprint Sketch, Mermaid Lagoon and Twisted Citron Distress Oxide inks and an ink blending tool and then divided with Land Border Die set.
Next we have a super adorable Purr-maid Newton stamp set. Once again I die cut the cute characters with the coordinating dies on Strathmore Bristol paper since my intention was to switch to Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers.
I’m leaving you all the exact colors used here: n.51 Lemon Yellow – n.50 Yellow – n.28 Pale Pink – n.26 Light Pink – n.25 Pink – n.83 Lilac -n.41 Light Green – n.61 Light Brown – n.64 Oatmeal – n.67 Mustard – n.62 Dark Brown – n.91 Light Gray – n.94 Gray Brown.
I prepared another white on white embossed background using Tropical Fish stencil and a white embossing paste that was spitted into two parts with a wavy line from Sea Borders Die Set.
Between the top and the bottom parts I inserted a water portion made with Salty Ocean and Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks and an ink blending tool where I heat embossed a few water bubbles and the sentiment from the same Purr-maid Newton stamp set.
Last but not least comes the wonderful Mantatee-rific stamp set.
I die cut two cuties using the the coordinating dies on the same Neehah Solar White paper I used on my first card and played with copic markets trying to give a bit of texture to the critters with a dot technique. I mixed and matched a few shades using W00-W1-W2-W3; Y00-Y21-YR21-YR65; B93; BV13; V15 markers. Then I went for a more artsy background using Tropical Fish stencil and Distress Oxide ink in blue shades.
