I Carrot About You Card (ft. SugarPea Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I came up with a cute and simple copic colored card featuring so versatile and just adorable Cottontail Cuties stamp and die sets!

Cottontail Cuties stamp set comes with a few lovely critters and tons of small accessories useful to build any scene and cover a lot of occasions that’s why the coordinating Cottontail Cuties SugarCut is a game changer for me! It allows to save a lot of time and die cut quickly all the elements for a project. Once finished with the die cutting, I stamped the outline stamps from Cottontail Cuties stamp set using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I work on Neenah Solar White paper this time and used it both for the stamping since it’s copic friendly, for the inked background behind the bunny and for the card base. All the stamped elements as you may guess were colored with copic markers.

In case you’re interested, I’m leaving you the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS bunny T0-T1-T3 plus RV00-RV21; fence E30-E31-E33-E47; tomatoes R20-R22-R37; leaves YG01-YG05; carrots YR00-YR04-YR18.

An extended A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) white card base was embellished with a light grey leaf pattern achieved with Leaf Cover Plate. I ran a piece of grey cardstock inside my Big Shot machine with Leaf Cover Plate die facing down the grey cardstock only once and without adding any additional pressure. As the result I got a deeply embossed pattern that was perfect to use as a non distracting background. The scene background was arranged on a circle die cut from Bamboo Garden SugarCut. I inked the grass portion towards the bottom part of the circle with Simon Says Stamp Willow dye ink through the edge of Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil. Then I added the sky portion mixing together Simon Says Stamp Sea Glass, Lavender and Apricot dye inks. I used the blending brushes for this purpose to achieve a soft and smooth look. Finally I arranged all the colored elements on the card front inside the inked circle and finished with a matching heat embossed sentiment and a few sequins.

Just Beecause Card (ft. SugarPea Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I mixed and matched a few different stamp and dies and paired them on a cute and simple card with a bit of summer vibes and sunshine!

To start, I die cut some honey combs using Stacked Honeycombs SugarCut from Tim Holtz Watercolor Cardstock since it’s white and works great with Distress inks. I prepared an extended A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) white card base from Neenah Solar White paper and arranged the die cuts on the card front. I inked some combs with Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seeds and Fossilized Amber Distress inks and the blending brushes. I also added some tiny droplets both to the card base and the honey combs using Vintage Photo Distress ink and a plain white gouache to add more interest to the pattern. Before popping the honey combs on a foam tape, I simply stamped the matching sentiment from Hey Honey stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink using my MISTI tool.

The beautiful flowers and leaves were die cut from Floral Pocket Tag SugarCut. I worked on some scraps of a white cardstock and then added colors with Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Twisted Citron and Moved Lawn Distress inks using again he blending brushes. The cutest bees come from Hey Honey stamp set that I used before for the sentiment. I helped myself with the coordinating Hey Honey SugarCut to die cut quickly a few bee shapes and then stamped the bodies with Hero Arts Butter Bar dye ink. Finally I added the black stripes and wings to the bees using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and started arranging all the die cuts on the card front. A few clear sparkling sequins finished this cute and lovely project.

Card For The SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #69

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with a fresh summer card featuring Mermaid Kisses stamp set!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

I kept it really simple today! To start, I used the coordinating Mermaid Kisses SugarCut to die cut the elements I needed for this project from Neenah Solar White paper. Then I made the stamping using Mermaid Kisses stamp set, Memento Tuxedo Black ink and MISTI tool. I colored all the stamps with copic markers and proceeded working on the background..

In case you’re interested, I’m leaving here all the exact colors used on the card: COPIC skin E50-E51-E53-E55; hair R32-R14-R35-R46-R89; BG10-BG11-BG23-BG49; YG01-YG05-YG07-G07; C2.

The background was embellished with faux dots by using the largest rectangle die from Card Front Element Builder II set. I masked a circle towards the left part of the card front with a piece of masking paper and inked the wavy water background inside the circle with Mermaid Lagoon Oxide, Blueprint Sketch Oxide Distress inks and the blending brushes. The waves were added by using the cloud edge of Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil. Finally I split the matching sentiment from Mermaid Kisses stamp set with a pair of sharp small scissors, heat embossed it on two narrow strips of a black cardstock and arranged all the elements on an extended A2 size card base with a bit of dimension. I generous coat of a clear shimmer pen gave a final touch to this card!

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I came up with a clean and simple copic colored card to send everyone some summer vibes and good mood!

To start, I die cut the cutest penguin using Cool Treats SugarCut and Neenah Solar White paper. I stamped the open image from Cool Treats stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink using my MISTI tool and the negative part of the die to help me with the alignment. I colored the penguin with copic marker and added some accents using a white gel pen along with a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen.

In case you’re interested, here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS T3-T5-T7-T9; C00-C2; Y11-Y13-Y15-Y17-Y18; R81-R83-R85; YG21-YG25-YG17-YG67; BG01-BG05.

An extended A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) white card base was trimmed and scored from the same Neenah Solar White paper. I prepared a die cut tag from Floral Pocket Tag SugarCut to go on top where I inked a few waves using the cloud edge from Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil, Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and the blending brush. The sky portion on the tag was filled with Cracked Pistachio Distress ink. I also flicked a few water droplets to add some interest to the pattern. The matching sentiment from Cool Treats stamp set was heat embossed on a narrow strip of a black cardstock and glued to the right edge of the tag. At this point I started assembling all the elements together with a bit of dimension. A few accessories and some sequins gave a finish touch to this project.

Beach Or Bust Card For The SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #68

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with a fresh and bright summer card featuring Hey Summer stamp set!

Today my card turned out clean and simple! To start, I used Hey Summer SugarCut and Neenah Solar White paper to die cut all the elements I needed for the project. Next I used my MISTI tool and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for stamping the open images from Hey Summer stamp set. I used a pencil to add a striped pattern to the bear’s swimming trunks and scarf and then colored everything with copic markers. Later I traced the added lines with copic multiliner.

The Waves background was inked with Peacock Feather Distress ink on a piece of the watercolor cardstock. I added some water droplets and a few white splotched for some interest. All the elements were assembled on an extended A2 size white card base with a bit of dimension. Finally I die cut a dotted banner from Envelope Liner SugarCut where I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Hey Summer stamp set and finished with a clear shimmer pen and a few clear sequins.
