Welcome Baby – Watercolor Card Series

welcome-baby-2016-1

Happy Monday!

Starting a new week with a “new” theme card! Made this clean and simple one for a little baby boy!

welcome-baby-2016-3

I started with stamping a few cute images from Simon Say Stamp’s Tiny Ray of Sunshine stamp set (I’m afraid it’s not available any more, but check through your stash and I’m sure that you’ll find something suitable) on a watercolor paper using a waterproof ink since I was going to make some watercoloring. I added a coat of a light blue tone on the stamped images and then started working on my background. I used the same blue shade on it and dropped only a small amount of more dark blues for more interest and a tiny bit of yellow just to tie all the elements together.

welcome-baby-2016-2The sentiment was partially stamped with the same black ink I used on other stamps and partially die-cut from the same paper I used for the entire project. This little tip makes a big difference in terms of final result.

Finally arranged all the elements, popped some of them on a foam tape, added natural twine and a few sequins.

That’s all for today! Hope to catch you up very soon with a new post! As always thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me sweet comments! I really appreciate your support!

Happy New Year Card – Inspired By Card Series

nt-happy-new-year-2016-1

Hello guys!

Can’t believe, but the 2016 is almost gone! I want to give a big thanks to all of you for your love and support and to wish you a happy happy happy New Year filled with peace and joy!

nt-happy-new-year-2016-3

The design of this card was inspired by a T-shirt I’ve got in my wardrobe. Had this idea in my head for a very long time and finally managed to realize it! First I made a splotchy background using a gold spray and a black ink. Then I die-cut from a black card stock and glued together for each word 3 layers of “happy” die by Neat & Tangled. It gave me a little bit of dimension to add for this simple one layer card. Finally I added a few Nuvo Drops in black and glittery gold colors and, of course, stamped “a happy new year” sentiment inside.

Thanks again for stopping by and stay tuned in 2017 for lots of fun and cuteness! I’ll catch you up very soon!

DIY Last Minute Christmas Gifts

merry-kissmas-2016-1

Hello guys!

I’ve just popped in for a super quick post as I would like to share some last minute gift tags I made. Hope you like the idea!

merry-kissmas-2016-3These are super easy and fast to recreate especially if you use pattern paper or only minimal stamping! For the basic tutorial you can check this video made by a super talented Jennifer McGuire.

merry-kissmas-2016-4On my tags I went a little bit crazy and used emboss resist technique. To speed up the process I arranged and mounted together all the stamps on the acrylic block so I managed to stamp all at once. Once heat embossed, I watercolored the tags with Gansai Tambi watercolors. Since I was attaching a lip balm to the tags, I chose a matching “Merry Kissmas” sentiment.

As always thanks so much for stopping by, for you love and support! Have a wonderful joyful and peaceful Christmas! I’ll catch you very soon for a new post!

Holiday Card Series 2016 – Believe 2

nnd_believe-ii-2016-1

Hello everyone!

Can’t stop playing with the cute kitty stamp from Newton’s Christmas Cuddles set by  Newton’s Nook Designs, coloring him, of course, like my sweet Tommy.

So here’s my ink blended version vs. watercolor one from my previous post. The cat image is colored once again with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, but this time I created a night sky with ink blending technique. I masked the borders of my front panel and the moon and started blending distress inks from the lightest color to the darkest leaving a halo around the moon. For the smooth blending you should work in layers bringing a small amount of ink every time. It takes time, but the final result is definitely worth the effort. Finally I added some splotches to make look my card front like a real night sky with stars.

A big Believe die is from Simon Says Stamp. I die-cut it 5 times and glued all the layers together. Love to add dimension to the dies this way, it always adds a “WOW” effect.

nnd_believe-ii-2016-2I like a clean look of this card and so I didn’t add any further embellishment except of a few matching sequins.

That’s pretty much all for today! As always thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me sweet comments! I really appreciate your support!

Holiday Card Series 2016 – Warm Wishes

jcd-penguin-coffee-cup-2016-1

Hello everyone!

I’m back with a warm winter wishes coffee inspired card from this year Holiday Card Series!

I decided to challenge myself this time and started with a patten paper. I’m not good at all in using this product, but Frosty Friends pack from Doodlebug has adorable little penguins on some pages that remind me the digital stamp Penguin Coffee Cup from Jess Crafts.

And so I die-cut some elements from the pattern paper, copic colored and fussy cut the cup stamp leaving a little bit of a white edge around and arranged all the elements on the card base. I added some dimension to the card, adhering certain parts with a foam tape and finally added a few finish touches.

That’s all for today! As always thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me nice comments! I really appreciate your love and support!
