Today’s Introductions include… beautiful and elegant Floral Envie stamp set; the coordinating Floral Envie SugarCut that comes with the additional die cut word with shadow “Smile” and amazing Handwritten Letter background stamp.

And here’s what I came up with for you today! A simple watercolor project that is entirely focused on the new wonderful Floral Envie stamp set. As usual, to start, I die cut the envelope and a few butterflies on Strathmore Bristol paper and then stamped the open images from Floral Envie stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I used my MISTI tool and the negative parts of the dies to help me achieve a perfect alignment. I colored all the images using water based markers from Altenew Tropical Fiesta set plus n.055 and n.990 Tombow markers.

An extended A2 size kraft card base was embellished with beautiful Handwritten Letter pattern. I used a light brown ink for a soft tone-on-tone look. Finally I popped the colored envie along with a heat embossed sentiment from the same Floral Envie stamp set on a foam tape and added a few clear sparkling sequins as a finish touch.

And here’s what I came up with for you today! A super sweet and easy scene made with the cutest images from Happy Little Trees stamp set. To start, I die cut all the shapes from Happy Little Trees SugarCut on Strathmore Bristol paper, stamped the open images from Happy Little Trees stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink and colored all the elements with water based markers!

Here’s the complete list of all the markers used on this project: TOMBOW N65, 025, 055, 090, 126, 133, 195, 452, 535, 725, 933, 942, 946, 969, 977, 990 plus ZIG Clean Colour Real Brush marker n.71 Flesh Colour.

An extended A2 size card front (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) made from Neenah Solar White paper was masked with a piece of Post-It tape. I inked the sky and ground portions through new just released yesterday Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil with Twisted Citron and Mermaid Lagoon Distress inks and my blending brushes. Next I very carefully cut in two the sentiment from Happy Little Trees stamp set using a pair of the sharp small scissors so that I can switch the stamped word “happy” to a bigger die cut one from new Happy Word With Shadow SugarCut. I stamped the sentiment using the same VersaFine Onyx Black ink used before for a perfect match and colored the die cut word “happy” with markers before adhering it to the card front. Finally I popped all the colored stamps with a bit of dimension and skipped any other embellishment.

Love, love love so much the new Cottontail Cuties stamp set because it filled with the most adorable little critters and accessories that are so helpful for building sweet scenes on the cards!!! To start, I die cut on a piece of Neenah Solar White paper all the shapes from Cottontail Cuties SugarCut and save the negative parts for all the future stamping. As usual I used my MISTI tool and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for stamping, helping myself with the negative parts of the dies for a perfect alignment. Next I simply colored all the stamps with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all COPIC markers used on this project: YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG23-YG41-G05-G09; YR000-YR00-YR02-YR04-YR07; Y0000-Y00-Y11; W00-W1-W2-W4; V01-V04; R00-R20-R22-R24; RV00-RV02; E0000-E000-E30-E31-E33-E35.

When I work with cuties, I prefer to keep everything clean and simple. For the card front I inked a very light grass and sky portions through new Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil with Twisted Citron Distress Oxide and Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide inks. I used the blending brushes this time instead of a regular sponge foams since they make the blending very easy and help to keep the colors light. Finally I started assembling all the elements together with a bit of dimension. I added a heat embossed sentiment that comes from the same Cottontail Cuties and a few clear sparkling sequins as a finish touch.

SugarPea Designs Spring 2020 Release: Day 1

Hello and welcome to Day 1 of the SugarPea Spring Product Release!

Today’s Introductions include… the fantastic Piece of Cake – 3D Box. These boxes can be assembled to open in two different ways (top or back) and ten pieces create the whole cake.

There’s no much to say about the assembling. The base must be die cut two times and the back flap must be cut out from one base for the correct assembling. In case you’re interested, SugarPea Designs prepared a video tutorial on their YouTube channel.

You have two options for the lid as showcased in the product image that I posted above and a wide variety of additional accessories to suit any occasion and style.

Due to the COVID-19 emergency, I was not able to order new patterned paper for this project and so I dug deep into my scrapbook stash and found this sweet themed patterned paper from Dovecrafts. I don’t believe they produce it any more, but I highly encourage you to watch around and use whatever you already have on hand. You can start with a plain white paper and add colors by your own.

Ten pieces placed together create the whole cake.

Enjoy The Ride Card For The SugarPea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #67

Hello and welcome!

Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with quite a simple card featuring Wheelie Amazing stamp set!

In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!

I kept everything very easy today! To start, I die cut all the shapes I needed for this project from Neenah Solar White paper using Wheelie Amazing SugarCut. I kept the negative parts of the dies and used them in my MISTI tool to help with the alignment while I was making the stamping with the coordinating Wheelie Amazing stamp set. I used Blueprint Sketch Distress ink for the bike and Memento Tuxedo Black ink for the outline stamps since it’s copic friendly. I colored all the images, as you can guess, with alcohol markers.

In case you’re interested, I’m leaving here all the exact colors used on the card: COPIC Y11-Y13-Y17; B21-B23; B01-B04-B06; YG01-YG03-YG17.

I embellished the background with a brick pattern applied through English Bond Brick Wall Stencil with Deco Foil Champagne Mist Metallix embossing gel and heat embossed the sentiment with the matching platinum embossing powder. Finally I popped all the elements on a foam tape arranging them on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) and added a finish touch with a clear shimmer pen and a few matching sequins.
