Cuteness overloads today with the cutest new Newton’s Flower Garden stamp set! NND kitty images are always my favorites and I’m so excited to have these adorable stamps in my little greedy hands! In case you’re interested, there’s the coordinating Newton’s Flower Garden Die Set!

To start, I stamped on Neenah Solar White paper, die cut and colored with copic markers the cute kitty catching a butterfly, some flowers and a few additional butterflies.

As always, I’m leaving you all the exact colors used on this project: COPIC cat Y32-YR30-YR21-YR24-YR27;RV0000-RV00-RV10-RV02-RV04; T0-T1-T3; Y00-Y11-Y13-Y17-YR04; YG00-Yg01-YG25; V01-V04-V06.

To ground the kitty and flowers, I trimmed a portion of a circle made from a dotted green pattern paper. Then I inked a very light sun rays through Sunscape stencil with Squeezed Lemonade Distress ink and a blending brush directly on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). I arranged all the elements along with a fussy cut sentiment on the card front and popped them on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look. A finish touch brought a few clear sparkling sequins.

Newton’s Nook Designs’ May Release and Giveaway – Day 3 – Hummingbird

Today I’m so happy to share with you new beautiful Hummingbird stamp set. In case you’re interested, this set has the coordinating Hummingbird Die Set.

Working on this card, I decided to focus on a limited color combo choosing the complementary mint green and cold pink as main colors. To start, I stamped on Neenah Solar White paper, die cut and colored with copic markers the hummingbird and the flower using Hummingbird stamp and die sets.

As always, I’m leaving you all the exact colors used on this project: RV0000-RV00-RV10-RV02; G40-YG11-YG41-G09; BG70-BG72-BG75; Y0000-Y00.

Next I proceeded working on the background creating the layout with a white tag die cut from Fancy Edges Tag Die Set, a strip of grass die cut from Land Borders Die Set and colored with a copic marker, a small white rectangle with the matching sentiment stamped from Hummingbird set and a light pink A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) embellished with a dry embossing made through Floral Lace stencil. I arranged all the elements on that card base with a bit of dimension and finished the card with a few sequins.

Newton’s Nook Designs’ May Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Monarchs Stamp and Butterflies Stencil Sets

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook May release! I’m so excited you’ve joined me today and can’t wait to share my cards with you!

The second day of the release has reserved us small, but not less amazing Monarchs stamp set that comes with the coordinating Monarchs Die Set and a wonderful Butterflies Stencil Set that is so fun to mix with butterflies stamps or use on its own.

My firs card is very simple and easy. I stamped on Neenah Solar White paper, die cut and colored with copic markers all three big butterflies from Monarchs stamp set, using Y00-Y15-YR12-YR07-E08 color combo.

Next I created a green background using Tropical Leaves stencil and Distress inks. To start, I smooched Twisted Citron Oxide and Moved Lawn Distress inks on a clear acetate, spritz it with water and transferred the colors on a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock since it meant to work with water. I repeated the same process a few times and heat set the colors with my heat tool. Next I mixed a plain white embossing paste with the same shades of Distress inks and added a leaf pattern through the stencil. I let everything air dry well before popping my background on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) along with colored butterflies and the matching sentiment.

The second card featured beautiful Butterflies Stencil Set that comes with two layers and allows easily mix and match different colors and mediums. Once again, I started with Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock and Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Abandoned Coral Distress inks. I taped well the layer #1 from Butterflies Stencil Set and inked with my blending brushes creating an ombré effect. Then I switched to the layer #2 and added more intense colors recreating the intricate pattern on the butterflies. I lift up the stencil and inked the whole background following an ombré effect. I finished with a few tiny shimmer droplets and let the pattern air dry.

Meanwhile I heat embossed the butterflies from Monarchs stamp set on vellum with a fine white embossing powder and die cut them using the coordinating Monarchs Die Set. I also prepared the matching heat embossed sentiment on a strip of a red cardstock.

I popped the colorful background on an extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) with a foam tape for a bit of dimensional look along with the heat embossed sentiment. Next I adhered the vellum butterflies with a tiny glue dots and finished with some clear and white iridescent sequins.

Newton’s Nook Designs’ May Release and Giveaway – Day 1 – Birthday Roundabout and Floral Roundabout

Newton’s Nook Designs’ Design Team is kicking off this week with amazing Birthday Roundabout and Floral Roundabout stamp sets. Both of the circle images from the new sets fit perfectly new wonderful and so versatile Circle Frames Die Set and the sentiments are designed just right for the new lovely Banner Trio Die Set. You can mix and match new stamps and dies as you wish or use them on their own if prefer! Whatever suits your personal style and fantasy!!!

On my stop of this hop I decide to stretch both new stamps and came out with some creative ways of use! My first card features wonderful Birthday Roundabout stamp set. I stamped it twice on Neenah Solar White paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then trimmed three identical rectangles. I colored the birthday images along with the background with my copic markers.

As always, I’m leaving here all the exact markers used on this project: COPIC Y00-Y11-Y13-Y15-Y17; V01-V04; BG10-BG13; YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG13;RV00-RV02-RV10.

Arranging all the elements on an extended A2 size light pink card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″), I popped a slightly smaller white rectangle trimmed from Neenah Solar White paper and then added on top the colored images. I stamped the sentiment from the same Birthday Roundabout stamp set that we used before on a narrow strip of a white paper, embellished it with a light pink scalloped border die cut from Sky Borders Die Set and a gray twine.

The second card is all about new amazing Floral Roundabout stamp set. Once again I stamped the flowers on Neenah Solar White paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, but instead of using it as a round image I fussy cut some daffodils and a few leaf brunches with my sharp small scissors leaving a little white edge around. Next I colored all the elements with copic markers.

As always, for whose who wants to know the copic combos I used on this project, here’s the complete list of all the colors used: Y0000-Y00-Y11-Y13-Y15-Y17; YG00-YG01-YG05-YG07; R21-24.

Arranging the card front, I glued a light gray patterned paper directly to the extended A2 size card base and then popped in the center a white rectangle with a circle window. I placed the colored flowers in the circle and finished with a simply stamped sentiment.
