Newton’s Nook Designs April Release and Giveaway – Beautiful Plumage

Hello and welcome!

The start of the week couldn’t be any perfect since the Newton’s Nook Designs Design Team is kicking off an April Release! And I’m sure you’re going to love it since it’s filled with a lot of beautiful amazing stamps and dies!

Today we are showcasing a brand new BEAUTIFUL and unique stamp set called BEAUTIFUL PLUMAGE along with the coordinating dies. Jen from NND did it again and designed a fantastic stamp set from the beautiful swirls series! There’s no need to tell that you have almost infinite options of use on your cards, tags, scrapbook pages and any sort of paper crafting projects! Stamp it, emboss it, color it with any medium or add color with ink blending technique!|

And here’s what I came up with. I used the same idea and interpreted it with two different color media. I decided to make a spot coloring on my cards since it matches the “Be Colorful” sentiment in a perfect way!

My first card is a copic colored one. I started by stamping a peacock stamp from BEAUTIFUL PLUMAGE stamp set with a copic friendly ink on a copic friendly paper, of course, and then die-cut some circles. I added color in a rainbow order only to the circle areas and popped them up on a foam tape.

I decided to add the matching rainbow sentiment and choice some similar dye inks from my stash. I used a post-it tape for masking my sentiment stamp and inked only a few letters at a time! Finally I added a few simple plumage images stamped in black on the right side of my card!

My second version is a watercolor one. I used my Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers to add color this time pared with a waterproof ink and a watercolor paper.

I did the same colorful stamping for the sentiment. Then I popped up the whole panel on a foam tape and added a double layer to the circle areas. Of course, I just couldn’t skip shimmer and so added a generous coat of Wink of Stella brush pen in clear glitter finish to both cards!
