On my stop for this hop I’m sharing some cuties from adorable Cottontail Cuties stamp set. I looooove so much all the small elements that allow to create sweet scenes. To start, I made all the die cutting using the coordinating Cottontail Cuties SugarCut. I worked on Neenah Solar White paper since it’s copic friendly and it’s also perfect as a card base. My MISTI tool came very handy for the stamping this time. I used the negative parts of the dies to help me with the alignment and managed to make multiple images in no-time. I chose Memento Tuxedo Black ink for stamping the open images from Cottontail Cuties stamp set since it’s meant to work with alcohol markers.

Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil is a perfect match for the cutest little elements from Outdoor Scene Builder Stencil. I used Distress inks and the blending brushes with a very light hand to add the sky background. In terms of colors I used Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks to create the outdoor scene on the background. I popped all the colored elements along with a heat embossed sentiment on a foam tape and finished with generous coat of a clear shimmer pen.

You Make Me Smile Card (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a cute and sweet card that, I hope, will bring a smile into your face.

All the adorable images on this projects were picked from new Newton’s Flower Garden stamp set. To start, as usual, I die cut on Neenah Solar White paper all the shapes I needed using the coordinating Newton’s Flower Garden Die Set. Next I stamped the open images from Newton’s Flower Garden stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I used my MISTI tool and the negative parts of the dies to achieve a perfect result. Next I colored all the images with copic markers.

And here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS cat YR000-Y32-YR20-YR21-YR24-YR27 plus C00-C2-C4 and RV0000-RV02; YG00-YG01-YG05; V01-V04; Y00-Y13-Y15-Y17-YR04.

The white card base, made from the same Neenah Solar White paper, was trimmed and scored to an extended 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ size. I cut out another white rectangle large enough to cover the whole card front where I die cut three circles using another newbie from NND: Circle Frames Die Set. I inked the open circle windows with Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Peacock Feather, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks and my ink blending brushes. I also flicked a few tiny shimmer droplets to bring a bit more interest to the card base. I stamped the sentiment inside the top circle window and finally assembled all the other elements by popping them on a foam tape. A few clear sparking sequins and a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen brought a finish touch to this project.

Make A Splash Birthday Card (ft. Purple Onion Designs New Sunshine Lake Collection)

Hello and welcome!!!

I have another cute card to share with you from the fabulous new “Sunshine Lake” collection of rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs illustrated by Stacey Yacula!

Today I tried to think a little out of the boxes and paired together both new and old goodies from Purple Onion Designs. To start, as usual, I stamped on Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink the most adorable Cosmo (Bear with Float) along with Cat Tails and Rock Set. I colored all the elements with water based markers and then fussy cut with my sharp small scissors leaving a little white edge around. Next I trimmed a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock and blended Squeezed Lemonade and Peacock Feathers Distress inks from top and bottom edges. I sprinkled a few tiny water droplets on top for some interest, heat set the paper and then added blue Waves towards the bottom part of my rectangle. I used the same Waves stamp with Hero Art Butter Bar ink as a cloud pattern toward the top portion of the inked piece and finally started assembling everything on an extended A2 size kraft card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″). I die cut another rectangle slightly smaller than the card base where I added a circle window to use as a focus point. The sentiment was partially heat embossed on a strip of a black cardstock and partially stamped directly on the card front. I popped all the elements on foam tape and just cannot escape a few matching sequins as a finish touch.

You’re Amazing Interactive Shaker Card (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a lovely spring shaker along with a few new favorite stamps and dies from Newton’s Nook Designs!

Today I decided to play with amazing new Circle Frames Die Set and made a shaker card that pops on the card front. This new stamp set coordinates perfectly with a circle floral image from beautiful Floral Roundabout stamp set. To start, I trimmed and scored an extended 5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″ card base made from Neenah Solar White paper. I stamped Floral Roundabout right on top of the card base with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and my MISTI tool and then colored the wonderful flowers with copic markers.

And here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG05-YG09; Y0000-Y00-Y11-Y13-Y15-Y18; YR12-YR16-YR09-Y17; R20-R22-R24; RV00-RV21-RV23-RV25.

The shaker element was created with the largest two frames from Circle Frames Die Set. I die cut the scalloped circle frame twice: first from a green cardstock that I had in my stash and then from a double sided adheres foam. I finished the die cutting process by adding a piece of clear acetate die cut only with the largest scalloped circle from Circle Frames Die Set. I assembled the shaker element by glueing the clear acetate from the back side of the green frame and then adding the double sided adhesive. I filled the shaker window with some clear sparkling sequins before sealing it to the card base. I rounded the two bottom corners of the card base with Crop-A-Dile tool for a more harmonious look and finally I prepared a fun rounded banner die cutting it from new Banner Trio Die Set where heat embossing on top an all occasion sentiment from Floral Roundabout stamp set that we used before.

Waving Hello Card (ft. Purple Onion Designs New Sunshine Lake Collection)

Hello and welcome!!!

I have more example to share from the fabulous new “Sunshine Lake” collection of rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs illustrated by Stacey Yacula!

Cuteness overloads on this card, in my opinion, today! I used Peony (Mouse Floating), Daphne (Beaver Swimming), Ida (Bunny Swimming), Cat Tails, Rock Set, Sunshiny Sentiment Set along with Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink. As usual, I stamped, colored with water based markers and fussy cut with my sharp small scissors leaving a little white edge around all the characters and accessories first. Next I divided a piece of Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock with a curvy die from Newton’s Nook Designs Land Borders Die Set and inked the sections with Tumbled Glass, Mermaid Lagoon, Cracked Pistachio, Peacock Feathers and Faded Jeans Distress inks. I popped all the pieces back on an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) and added the colored elements on top along with a simply stamped sentiment and a few sequins. Easy! Right?!
