Newton’s Nook Designs May Release and Giveaway – Day 3

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs May release!

All the new May products will be available for purchase on Friday, May 17th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

I just can’t wait any more to share super-duper cuties from new Newton Cleans Up stamp set! Looooove these adorable and fun kitties!!! As always NND has the coordinating dies for this set, as well!

My first card features the mischievous kitty in the laundry basket that was first die cut with the coordinating Newton Cleans Up Die Set and then stamped with the matching outline images from Newton Cleans Up stamp set. I used my ever favorite combo on this project: Strathmore Bristol paper, VersaFine Onyx Black ink, a small water brush from Pentel and Tombow markers.

And here’s the complete list of all the color used: 055, 076, 126, 133, 623, 373, 723, 850, 873, 946, 991.

For the background I die cut a stitched frame from Frames & Flags Die Set and embellished it through Cascading Stars stencil. I inked the stencil two times with Pumice Stone Distress ink, emphasizing more the small stars and keeping my hand very light with the bigger pattern. At this point I also added a stitched green flag die cut from the same Frames & Flags Die Set with a heat embossed sentiment on top. Arranging all the elements on the card base I decided to stretch more Holiday Stockings stamp and Stylish Stockings Die sets and added a few items on the sting, creating a lovely scene.

You know that I’m a great fan of cats and everything cute and so I just couldn’t stop playing with Newton Cleans Up stamp set! The result is this second colorful rainbow card!

Once again, I started with Newton Cleans Up stamp and die sets. I used the same material as on my previous card and colored all the elements with Tombow markers.

These are all the colors used here: N79, 055, 062, 133, 373, 493, 636, 676, 743, 800, 899, 925, 985, 977, 992.

Cascading Stars stencil was used again for the background. I masked a strait line with a sticky tape on a piece of a watercolor cardstock from Tim Holts and added the start above with Peacock Feathers and Tumbled Glass Distress ink. Next I inked on top the same shades on Distress inks, but keeping my hand very light and finished with some water droplets and colorful splashes. A simply stamped sentiment from the same Newton Cleans Up stamp set added a finish touch to this fun card.
