Hello and welcome!
I’ve popped today to share my entry into the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up challenge with a cute and happy Bee-Day card!
In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!
Working on this project I mixed and matched a few new and so well coordinating goodies from SPD April release. To start, I die cut some shapes from Hey Honey SugarCut Set. I used Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink for stamping the coordinating images from Hey Honey stamp set. Next I made a super simple coloring with Tombow markers and a small watercolor brush from Pentel.
As always I’m leaving all the exact colors I used here: TOMBOW n.N15, n.026, n.055, n.062, n.373, n.977, n.991, n.992.
A regular A2 size background was inked from one corner with Squeezed Lemonade and Fossilized Amber Distress inks. I also prepared another rectangle to go on top, embossing it with Honeycomb Cover Plate and die cutting one corner with a circle die from Zig Zag Stitched Circles SugarCut set. Finally I could assemble all the elements with a bit of dimension, a few matching sequins and a heat embossed sentiment from the same Hey Honey stamp set.
Hope you like this cute and simple card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!
