Have you heard of “The Daily Marker’s 30 Day Coloring Challenge” hosted by Kathy Racoosin? Right now it’s in the middle of the challenge and it’s a great time to take a leap, jump in and get your feet wet!  Don’t feel like you are jumping into the middle of the challenge I hope you will think of it as a new beginning. The premise of “The Daily Marker 30 Day Coloring Challenge” is to color something everyday even if it’s for five minutes. However feel free to  jump in or out as time permits. Any coloring medium is welcomed. Click here for DAY 1 TO UPLOAD YOUR COLORING  or here on Instagram or here on Facebook (FB is a closed group). Please remember to use the hashtag #thedailymarker30day and tag @kathyrac . For kids & young adults #thedailymarker30daykids.

My card turned out into an under-the-sea rainbow scene. First of all, a bunch of the cute spirits on the jelly fishes from new mermaizing Fintastic Friends set were stamp with a waterproof black ink on Strathmore Bristol paper, colored with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers and fussy cut leaving a little white edge around. Next was the water background made by applying Peacock FeathersMermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress Oxide inks onto a watercolor cardstock from Tim Holtz along with some water droplets and colorful splashes for more fun and interest. The matching birthday sentiment from the same Fintastic Friends set was heat embossed with a white embossing powder on the a stripe of a black card stock and shaped into a fish-tale banner. Arranging all the elements, I slightly trimmed one side on the watercolor background piece and balanced the card front with a piece of a stripe washi tape, popped the sentiment and cute colored images on a foam tape, embellished the scene with a few shimmer clear sequins and finally added some accents with a white gel pen.
