Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook November release! So glad you’ve joined me today!

Cuteness overloads on this reveal day since we are having a super adorable and slightly mischievous trio of kitties having winter fun! The new set is called Newton’s Toboggan and it comes with the coordinating Newton’s Toboggan Die Set. And more… NND is adding another amazing layout Mountains Stencil for their collection!

And now it’s time for a crafty example made with Newton’s Toboggan stamp set. I switched to my ever favorites Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx black ink. I die cut first the kitty shape with Newton’s Toboggan Die Set and then stamped the open sweet image using the negative part of the die for a perfect alignment into my MISTI tool. As you may guess by the paper choice, my intention was to use watercolor markers for coloring.
And here’s the complete list of the colors used on this project: TOMBOW MARKERS N65, 098, 133, 443, 526, 703, 761, 772, 845, 847, 873, 899, 905, 947, 977, 992; ZIG CLEAN COLOUR REAL BRUSH MARKERS n.61 Light Brown.
I kept the layout clean and simple to concentrate the main focus on colored kitties. First I added a bit of snow effect by smooching Shaded Lilac Distress ink applied on a piece of transparency with some water. I let the paper dry and then embellished the background with a few snowflakes stamped from the same Newton’s Toboggan set with the same Shaded Lilac Distress ink for a tone on tone look. Finally I added a simply stamped sentiment and popped the elements on a foam tape for a dimensional look.
