Hello and welcome!
Today is my turn to get you inspired for the SugarPea Designs monthly Mix It Up Challenge! I came up with quite simple watercolor card featuring a few lovely new and old products!
In case you want to play along, as well, here’s how you can do that: you have all month to play along and make a project using just the inspiration, just the sketch or Mix it Up and use both! It is totally up to you! You can find all the rules at SugarPea blog right here!!!
I started with Arches Cold Pressed Watercolor paper, regular watercolors, water and a few brushes. I played around and came up with a splotchy watercolor background inspired by the color combo from the sketch. I ran it with Zig Zag Stitched Rectangles SugarCut into my Big Shot Machine to achieve a faux stitched panel that was popped on a regular A2 size kraft card base.
Next I die cut three snowflakes from glitter paper using Snowflake Tag Die along with Merry Word. I stacked three layers of the sentiment die one on top of the other and glued everything on the watercolor background with Multi Medium Matte adhesive. Last but not least, I heat embossed the second part of the sentiment on a piece of a black cardstock using Flurry Of Warm Wishes stamp set and popped it on a fam tape. A few matching sequins added a finish touch to this card.
Hope you like this watercolor holiday card! Now it’s your turn to link up your creations for a chance to win a $50 Gift Certificate from SugarPea Designs! Can’t wait to see what you create!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful day!!!
