Spring/ Summer Lovers Blog Hop (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Hello and welcome!

Sharing today a cute watercolor card made for the Spring/ Summer Coffee Lovers Blog Hop!!!I played with fantastic full card front Caffeinated Cats stamp set from Newton’s nook Designs, but interpreted it in different way! Curious?!

Here’s how I made this project! To start, I stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink Caffeinated Cats on Strathmore Bristol paper, but instead of coloring the whole image, I fussy cut a part of the cat pile right against the stamp lines. Next I colored the cut piece with Tombow markers and hide any imperfection due to the fussy cutting by coloring the edge with a black brush marker. The background was slightly inked with Spun Sugar and Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks before applying a layer of a white embossing paste on top through Sunscape stencil. Finally the heat embossed sentiment from Newton Loves Coffee stamp set “grounded” the main image and gave the finish touch to this card.
