Newton’s Nook Designs March Release and Giveaway – Day 4 – Garden Mice

Hello and welcome to the final day of the Newton’s Nook Designs March release!

Cuteness overloads with the new and absolutely adorable Garden Mice stamp set on my blog today! This new set comes with the coordinating dies and have the cutest little critters!

On my spot for this hop, I prepared two watercolor cards! The first one is made with Tombow markers. As always I started with the coordinating Garden Mice dies, Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I stamped the cute mouse from Garden Mice along with a few flowers from just release Floral Fringe stamp sets.

Once finished with coloring, I heat embossed the sentiment from the same Garden Mice set on a piece of a green cardstock and die cut a scalloped rectangle using Frames & Flags Die Set for the layout.

And here’re all the TOMBOW markers I used for coloring: n.N79, n.026, n.055, n.062, n.133, n.703, n.723, n.755, n.873, n.933, n.993.

Working on my second card, I switched to Arches Hot Pressed Watercolor paper and regular watercolors. To start, I arranged some stamps from Garden Mice, April Showers and Newton Scoots By stamp sets and stamped them using VersaFine Onyx black ink since it’s waterproof.

For the background, I decided to try the dry embossing with stencils and so I chose Floral Lace pattern and ran it through my die cutting machine including a squishy embossing pad in the “sandwich”. I used the same sentiment as on my previous card and heat embossed it again on a piece of a black cardstock.
