Newton’s Nook Designs June Release and Giveaway – Day 2

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Designs June Release!

Today it’s turn to make its way to a new super ADORABLE (I know, I always say that! But it’s true!!! Can’t resist to the cuteness! LOL!!!) Loveable Llamas stamp set!!! OMG just looks at those funny faces!!! They are literally killing me!!! In case you’re interested, this stamp set comes with the coordinating dies!!!

Working on today’s project, I played with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers!!! And so after die cutting and stamping some images from Loveable Llamas stamp set, I went for my win win combo which is Strathmore Bristol paper and a small water brush from Pentel. I obviously used VersaFine black ink for stamping since it’s waterproof.

While all the watercolored elements were drying, I switched to the stencils. First of all, I used new just released yesterday Sunscape stencil and the masking technique to create a background: for that I die cut a circle from a masking paper, placed the negative part on a rectangle panel, positioned on top Sunscape stencil and then once again masked some parts of it while was adding Distress Oxide inks with an ink blending tool. Next I prepared an additional stripe by ink blending once more the colors through Tropical Leaves stencil. Finally I started assembling everything with a bit of dimension and heat embossed the birthday sentiment from the same Loveable Llamas stamp set. A few clear non distractive sequins and a coat of Glossy Accents finished this card.
