Where all those fabulous ideas come from?! LOL!!! I don’t know the answer, but I’m totally in love with new Shades of Autumn stamp set! Those leaves look so realistic and I assure you that they are even more beautiful in real life!!! Of course, as other NND stamp sets there are available the coordinating dies! And no need to tell you a lot about new Falling Leaves stencil! It’s absolutely amazing!

And here’s my first card featuring both new products!

I started with an ombre stamping aligning the leave stamps in a stamping positioning tool! First I inked the stamps with the lightest shade of the dye ink and after added some darker spots for more dimention and interest! I dabbed the stamps with a clean cloth before transfering the ink to the paper to soften the edges and achieve more gradient look!

Truly Grateful #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Shades of Autumn stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookThe leaves from Shades of Autumn stamp set are pretty big so I tried to leave the card background quite clean and simple. I added a bit of color ink smooching Peacock Feathers Distress ink, heat embossing the sentiment from the same stamp set with a Liquis Platinum embossing powder on a piece of a black card stock, adding tone on tone details on one side throuhg Falling Leaves stencil and finally adding some matching splotches and a few glossy details!

I decided for a tone on tone gradient look that would match the kraft card base so I mixed my own shades of the embossing paste from a plain white one. I used Antique Linen and Vintage Photo Distress inks for that. Once removed the stencil, I sprinkled some clear sparkling embossing powder on top, let everything air dry for about 40 minutes and heat set the embossing powder only at that point! Finally I assembled everything adding a few colorful details!

  1. I love the soft coloring you used on the leaves. The watercolor background on the first card is the perfect complement to the leaves.

  2. Soft and subtle, your palette is always such a delight! Love your beautiful designs …. a welcome change from traditional Fall coloring!

  3. Gorgeous cards! Love the Shades of Autumn stamp set and the Falling Leaves stencil! Beautiful colors on your cards!

  4. I love the new set. I especially love that you used unconventional colors with it. They turned out amazing!!!! I also love the way you made the circle window & embossed the leaves!! I think it’s better than a shaker card. Thanks for the details 🙂
