I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a card from my Stretch Your Stamps Card Series!
I really looooove Autumn Newton stamp set and when I saw the adorable kitty peeking from behind the pumpkins and apples, I thought that it would be fun to have the same image in the spring key. And so all I needed was to flip through my stash and find a few stamp sets with some flowers and leaves so that I could replace the autumn items with the spring ones. I ended up using a whole bunch of NND stuff creating this card and if you’re curios to see them all, please, continue reading this post.
Obviously, I started with the cutest mischief and die-cut him with the coordinating Autumn Newton Die Set, stamped and watercolored. All the stamps on this card were stamped with Versafine ink because it’s waterproof on Strathmore Bristol paper since it’s my favorite to use with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. And you can find all the exact colors I used here at the bottom of this post. Next came Holding Happiness, Deer Friend, Bitty Bunnies stamp sets and the coordinating Holding Happiness Die Set, Deer Friend Die Set, Bitty Bunnies Die Set for all the flower and leaf images. Once finished coloring, I divided the background into the sky and the grass portions with Land Borders Die Set and then popped up a stitched frame die-cutting once more the same background with Frames & Flags Die Set. I added soft non distractive colors to the background with Distress Oxide inks and an ink blending tool along with a cloudy pattern using Cloudy Sky stencil and a white embossing paste. Finally I assembled everything with some dimension and added a “Just Because” sentiment from Little Lilies stamp set on a fish-tail banner.
