Hello and welcome!

So happy you’ve joined me today!!! In this post I’m sharing a cute project and some ideas how to stretch your stamps and make your holiday cards even more special!

Special Delivery #handmade envelope by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Happy Mail stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookThere’s no doubt that a matching envelope will bring your creation to the whole other level and will add that something little extra!!! I chose to play with  Newton’s Happy Mail stamp set from Newton’s Nook Designs since the super adorable mischief popping out from a mail box seems to be just purr-fect for decorating envelopes and transformed the stamp info a holiday one by simply adding a few extra images from Frozen Friends and my ever favorite Newton’s Holiday Mischief stamp sets.

Special Delivery #handmade envelope by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Happy Mail stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookFirst of all I cut and scored the envelopes from a thing inexpensive Bristol paper that I found in my local craft store since I was going to use Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers for coloring, but you can definitely use any paper or even store bought envelopes. Just be sure not to use watercolor media on them! I proceeded with stamping a snow hill from Frozen Friends stamp set towards the left bottom coner of the envelope, prepared the relative mask for this image and place it on top. That allowed me to switch the grass part of the original image from Newton’s Happy Mail set and create a holiday winter scene. Then I simply stamped the mail box with the kitty. The trick here is to mask one kitty’s ear with a piece of paper before inking the mail box stamp. The empy space that was achieved this way was filled with the Santa’s hat from Newton’s Holiday Mischief set and the mail box was decorated with holiday leaves and berries.

And please don’t be scared by all the masking you need to do! I assure you that it doesn’t take a lot of time at all and go even more fast on mass producing projects! At the end I decided to stamp the “Special Delivery” sign right above the recipient’s address (that I will obviously add later! LOL!!)

Special Delivery #handmade envelope by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Happy Mail stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookI purposely made a complete, but very simple coloring on one envelope, added only a few colored details on gray and red one and left the last one without any coloring at all for those who don’t want to spend much time on decorating envelopes! All the samples look good for me and will make any mail a really HAPPY one!

Hope you like the idea and will give it a try! As always thank so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!!!

Tatiana
