Happy Sunday!
So excited to start a sneak peak week revealing the April Release from Craftin Desert Divas! It’s filled with lots of fantastic and happy goodies and they are so various as well! There are some super sweet and cute stamp sets and some more classic and elegant ones, a few fantastic dies to use on your cards and create some other paper crafting stuff! I’m sure you are going love it!
Today I’m featuring Rainbows & Sunshine stamp set! It’s a very cute and fun plus it has great encouragement sentiments! And so I just couldn’t help myself playing with rainbow colors and created the sweet shaker card!
I stamped a few umbrellas with a waterproof ink on Bristol paper, did a loose watercololoring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut them with my scissors.
Then I prepared a splotchy background matching the scheme using ink smooching technique! It’s so fun and easy to do! Just take a piece of clear acetate (I usually recycle some packages for that), smooch a water reacting formula ink on it, make a couple of water spritzes and then applied it to your background! I tried to keep a very light touch here to conserve the splotchy texture!
While my watercolor pieces were drying, I prepared the shaker part, die-cutting the frame out of Fancy Frame Dies and added a double layer of foam tape to it! Finally assembled everything arranging the umbrellas in a rainbow order, adding the sentiment and some clear drops for a faux water effect!
That all for today! Hope you like this colorful card! As always thanks so much for stopping by! And please, check Craftin Desert Divas Event Page on Facebook for more inspiration and awesome giveaways! And if you like this set and want to see more relative projects, stay tuned for my release day post going life in a few days!
