Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook January release!

Cuteness overloads today on my blog with new Puppy Playtime stamp set filled with the most adorable doggies. In case you’re interested, there’s the coordinating Puppy Playtime Die Set too.

And here’s my inspirational project! To start, I die cut three cute pups and three birthday hats using the coordinating Puppy Playtime Die Set and Neenah Solar White paper. I saved the negative parts of the dies and used them in my MISTI tool to help with the alignment while I was stamping the open images from Puppy Playtime stamp set. Next I colored all the elements with copic markers.
As always, I’m leaving you all the exact colors used on this project: COPIC MARKERS dog #1 E30-E31-E33 plus YR30; dog #2 E40-E41-E43; dog #3 E70-E74 and W0-W2-C3; YG00-YG01-YG17; Y17-YR18; RV02-RV04; B21-B24; V04-V06; 100.
A regular A2 size (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) card base was embellished through new just released on Monday Bokeh Hearts Stencil set. I used Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and added the hearts using layer #1 from Bokeh Hearts Stencil set with a very light hand. Next I switched to the layer #2 and added a bit more color. I also die cut a tag from Fancy Edges Tag Die to place in the center of the card base and popped the puppies around. A heat embossed sentiment from the same Puppy Playtime stamp set along with a bow and a few sequins finished this birthday card.

I don’t know when I’ve been so enthused about a canine stamp set as I am with this Puppy Playtime …. your soft coloring of the pups and the placement of the puppies around the tag really showcase this set so well. The stenciled heart background is the perfect setting.
