Holiday Card Series 2020 – The Happiest of Holidays (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a cute holiday card featuring old, but still one of the favorites Jolly Tags stamp and the coordinating Tags Times Two Die sets.

Recently I made a lot of cards with the hand colored elements, but from time to time it’s so nice to change and try different techniques and styles. Today’s card is quite simple and involves mostly the stamping. To start, I die cut from from Neenah Solar White paper nine tags using Tags Times Two Die set and my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I saved the negative part from one die and used it inside the MISTI tool to help me with the alignment. This technique allows to make the stamping really quickly. Just make sure that you clean really well the stamp between the colors.

An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was made from the same Neenah Solar White paper that I used before for the tags. I popped on top a tone on tone background that was inked through my favorite Tiny Trees stencil. For this layer I used the coordinating Fog cardstock and ink from Simon Says Stamp that come in light warm gray shades. Finally I arranged all the tags and popped them on a foam tape along with a heat embossed in white on black sentiment from NND Main Street Christmas stamp set. A few clear sparkling sequins and tree silver bows added a finish touch.
