Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away both new A Kitten Christmas and Christmas Puppies stamp sets to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
My first card that features A Kitten Christmas stamp and die sets, has a clean and simple design.
To start I die cut from Copic X-Press paper the kitty shape and lots of Christmas lights, using the coordinating A Kitten Christmas Die Set and my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. As always, I saved and used the negative parts of the dies to help me with the alignment while I was stamping the open images from A Kitten Christmas stamp set using MISTI tool and Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Finally I proceeded with copic coloring, making the kitty look like my sweet boy Tommy (Sacred Birman Cat).
For those who are wondering about the exact colors used on this project, I’m leaving all the numbers of COPIC MARKERS: cat E40-E41-E42-E43-E44-E47-E49; RV00-RV02-RV11-RV04-RV19; YG00-YG05-YR09; Y11-Y17-Y18; FV02-B63; YR02-YR04-YR07; BG10-BG13; B000-B04; T0-T1.
The background was inked directly on an extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) made from Neenah Solar White paper. I used new just released on Monday Tiny Trees stencil, Tumbled Glass Distress ink and the blending brush. Once tapped well the stencil on the card base to prevent any movement, I inked the pattern keeping my hand lighter towards the center of the card front. Then I lifted and shifted the stencil in order to add more inked trees between the rows as you see on the pictures. I added a few super tiny drops of a pearlescent solution just for something little extra along with a simply stamped sentiment that comes from the same A Kitten Christmas stamp set. I hand draw the light string and finally arranged the Christmas lights and the kitty.
Working on my second card that features Christmas Puppies stamp and die sets, I decided to mix and match it with A Kitten Christmas since both stamps has the same size and style! I did exactly the same steps as on a previous card die cutting and stamping the fun puppy and the kitty, but using Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink this time since my intention was to color the stamps with water based markers. An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) was trimmed and scored from a kraft cardstock. I added on top the cute holiday pattern by inking another newbie – Reindeer stencils with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink for a tone on tone look. I partially covered the card front with a vellum rectangle die cut with Frames & Flags Die Set where I heat embossed the funniest pun from A Kitten Christmas stamp set. Assembling all the elements together, I popped the cute critters on foam tape and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins.
As always, I’m sharing with you all colors used by me on the second project: TOMBOW MARKERS N55, N79, 126, 133, 847, 856, 899, 905, 946, 947, 977, 991, 992, 993.

Amazing cards. I love how you stenciled the trees in the background, and then all those lights! I didn’t see the extra string of lights so did you cut them out from the tangled light around the critters? Darling!
