Today I’m so excited to share with you two new absolutely adorable stamp sets: Dear Santa and Nutcrackers. Both of them are just perfect for every holiday project! In case you’re interested, there’re two coordinating Dear Santa Die and Nutcrackers Die sets too!
Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away both new Dear Santa and Nutcrackers stamp sets to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
My first card featuring Dear Santa stamp and die sets turned out as a CAS project. To start, I die cut from Copic X-Press paper the Santa and gift shapes using the coordinating Dear Santa Die Set and my Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. I saved and used the negative parts of the dies inside the MISTI tool to help me with the alignment while I was stamping the open images from Dear Santa stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. Next I colored all the elements with copic markers.
In case you’re interested, I’m leaving you all the exact colors used for coloring: COPIC MARKERS skin E50-E53-E55; R000-R20-R22-R24-R27-R46; YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG03-YG25-YG67; Y11-Y13-Y15-Y17; YR04-YR07; T0-T1-T3-T5-T7-T9.
An extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) was trimmed and scored from Neenah Solar White paper. I repeatedly stamped with a very light gray ink (Simon Says Stamp Fog dye ink) the small accessories from Dear Santa and Christmas Campers stamp sets all across the background and then added a bold black sentiment on top. I popped the colored Santa and gifts on a foam tape and finished with a few clear sparkling sequins, a coat of a shimmer glitter pen and some white accents made with a gel pen.
My second card features Nutcrackers stamp and die sets plus new just released yesterday Tiny Trees stencil. This time I started with Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink since my intention was to color the images with water based markers. I made the same steps as describe above, first die cutting two nutcracker shapes with the coordinating Nutcrackers Die Set and then stamping the open images from Nutcrackers stamp set. Finally I proceeded with coloring using my Tombow markers.
As always, I’m sharing with you all colors used on this project as well: TOMBOW MARKERS N25, N79, 025, 055, 835, 847, 905.
An extended A2 size white card base (5 1/2″ X 4 1/4″) that was trimmed and scored from my favorite Neenah Solar White paper. I added a slightly smaller light gray rectangle on top with the holiday tree pattern achieved by inking Tiny Trees stencil with the matching light gray ink (used Simon Says Stamp Fog cardstock and dye ink). Next I trimmed and glued directly on the background some narrow strips of the colorful cardstock and finally popped the Nutcrackers on a foam tape. The final step was a die cut sentiment that comes inside the coordinating Nutcrackers Die Set.
