Happy Friday!
I’ve just popped in to share a floral watercolor card I made using Hydrangea Blooms stamp set from Simon Says Stamp.
Recently I set up my first watercolor palette from some professional watercolors and finally got some time to play with it. I’ll talk about this palette later once I’ll test it more.
So this card is one of my first attempts with professional watercolors. It turned out very clean and simple. I used a good quality cold pressed watercolor paper and heat embossed the hydrangea image with a white embossing powder. Then I masked the flower and stamped the leaves using a green dye ink this time since the leaf stamps are not outline ones. I’d probably have had to use distress inks for this step since they reactivate better with water, but like I said before I’m still experimenting.
Once finished with watercoloring, I added a simple hello die-cut sentiment that was watercolored with the same purple shades as the hydrangea bloom and some little embellishments.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this card and thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me sweet comments! I really appreciate your support!
Have a fantastic week-end!
Tatiana
