2019 SugarPea Designs Spring Release: Day 4

Hello and welcome to Day 4 of our SugarPea Designs Spring Product Release!

Today’s introductions include… a fun spring bundle perfect to send Easter wishes to family and friends that includes Easter Wishes stamp set, Egg Window SugarCut, Easter Word SugarCut.

I stared this project making some ink blending and prepared an ombré green panel to cover the whole card front using Squeezed Lemonade and Twisted Citron Distress inks and then die cut Egg Window SugarCut in the center. I also prepared a pinkish piece blending Tatted Rose, Spun Sugar and Victorian Velvet Distress inks to go as a background for the egg window.

I filled the shaker part with sequins and fine glitter. Then I die cut the bunny shape using the same Egg Window SugarCut from a hot pressed watercolor paper and made a super simple no line coloring with regular watercolors. I popped the bunny into the center of the egg window and finished with the Eater sentiment. One part of the sentiment was die cut with Easter Word SugarCut and the other – heat embossed from Easter Wishes stamp set on a stripe of a gray cardstock.

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release and Giveaway – Day 4 – Woof Pack

NND just cannot leave all dog fans disappointed and so after the incredible Company of Cats I’m sooooooo happy to present you a whole bunch of super cute puppies in the new stamp set called Woof Pack that coordinates perfectly with Frames & Flags die set.

I was super excited to dive into dog breed searching and had so much fun coloring these cuties with my Zig markers. In case you are not a dog expert (like me! LOL!!!) here’s the reference to all the dogs from Woof Pack stamp set:

Left to Right:
Top row: Bulldog, Chihuahua, Boxer, Jack Russell Terrier
Second row: Poodle, Dachshund, Beagle, Basset Hound
Third row: Cocker Spaniel, Yorkshire Terrier, Boston Terrier
Corgi squeezed in between the rows
Bottom row: German Shepherd, Saint Bernard, Pug, Labrador Retriever

Since I was working with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers, I chose once more Strathmore Bristol paper as blending goes super easy on this type of paper plus a small watercolor brush from Pentel. Once the all the dogs were colored, I used a stitched frame die from Frames & Flags die set to frame all the woof pack and then die cut the same frame once more directly on the front panel of the card base. I aligned the positive die cut piece with the frame window on the card base and adhered the dogs to the inner part of the card so that once opened you have the empty frame on the card front and the colored piece inside. The last step was a little bit more die cutting. I prepared three fish-tale banners with Frames & Flags die set and used one to stamp the sentiment from Woof Pack set while two others were simply colored with the same Zig markers I used before.

I’m sure that all cat people just cannot resist to a super adorable Company of Cats from this new release! I’m head over heals on seeing so many super cute kitties! Plus I loooove big stamp sets: no masking and arranging and over thinking are needed! You’re immediately ready to sit down, relax and just enjoy the coloring process! This stamp doesn’t have dies, but it coordinates perfectly with Frames & Flags die set.

Today I came with an interactive shaker card! I picked one of the sentiments that come with Company of Cats stamp set and decided to play around it! And so I colored all the stack of cute kitties in gray tones and then made pop the one with a funny face by giving him strong bright colors.

When I work with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers, my win win combo is Strathmore Bristol paper and a small watercolor brush from Pentel. Once all the furry company was colored, I went a little bit crazy and fussy cut the whole stamp following the stamp lines and then colored the edge with a black marker to hide any imperfection due to the fussy cutting. Assembling the card, I prepared a window frame for the shaker element by aligning and die cutting two frames from Frames & Flags die set. Then, before adhering the die cut frame on a foam tape, I filled the shaker area both with clear iridescent sequins and some colorful beads to remind the colors I used on the kitty. Finally I did more die cutting and put the coordinating sentiment on a fish-tale banner from Frames & Flags die set and finish by embellishing it with an yellowy-orange twine to add another pop of color to this clean card.

Crafting Desert Divas – February Release Replay – Me Time

Hello and welcome!

I’ve popped in with another peek on the February release from Craftin Desert Divas!!!

Well, today I stretched once more the super cute Me Time stamp set and made a card for myself! Yes, for myself, to remind that sometimes I need to take a little break and just enjoy a little every day moments!

I mixed and matched a few new and old CDD products creating this card. And so I prepared the plaid colorful background using Sorted Shapes 2 Stencil and Distress Oxide inks. I was trying to keep my hand as light as possible while I was doing ink blending. Then I prepared a stitched rectangle from Fancy Frame Die set and transformed into a soft pattern paper by repeatedly stamping the sentiments from Me Time stamp set with a light gray ink. Finally I switched to the cute characters and stamped a bunch with a copic friendly black ink. These images come from Me Time and Pawsome Friends stamp set and coordinates so nicely together. After fussy cutting, I started assembling all the elements popping some of them on a foam tape for a bit of dimension. The heat embossed #metime sentiment and a generous coat of shimmer from Wink Of Stella Clear Brush Glitter Marker finished this card.

Newton’s Nook Designs February Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Bitty Bunnies

Are you ready for another FANTASTIC release filled with incredible and so various products that will suit any paper crafter?! So let’s start!

Today all the Design Teams is focusing on a small, but so aer-resistible stamp set called Bitty Bunnies. I’m totally fell in loooooove with these cute bitty bunnies and who can blame me for that! Bunnies are always melt everyone’s heart! Right?! Plus in spite of the small dimensions, the sky is the limit for this set! It can be used in so many ways and cover almost all the occasions! All the die-cut fans can get the coordinating dies as well!

Creating this clean and simple card, I started by stamping the bunny and a couple of the butterflies on Neenah Solar White paper with a copic friendly black ink and colored them with copic markers, of course. Once the images were ready, I set them aside and proceeded with the background and the card base.

First of all I prepared an additional panel to go on top of the card base with a die cut circle window, I marked the position of the open area and made an ombre ink blending with Distress Oxide ink in Worn Lipstick color directly on the card base. After heat setting the color, I added two clouds through just release yesterday Cloudy Sky Stencil with a white embossing paste and heat set everything once more. I usually don’t use heat with embossing pastes since it makes bubbles, but this time that effect was perfect for the additional dimension and texture on the clouds. Creating the banner for the sentiment I used Land Borders die set along with a matching sentiment from Bitty Bunnies stamp set. Finally assembling everything, I popped all the elements on a foam tape and finished with a coat of a clear shimmer pen and a few clear iridescent sequins.
