Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs’ Holiday release!
All the new October products will be available for purchase on Friday, October 18th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!
Today NND Design Team is showcasing a stunning Main Street Christmas stamp set. Main Street Christmas Die Set is not less wonderful and clever. Besides the coordinating dies it has three additional sentiment dies! Next comes Holiday Fringe stamp set. It does’n have the coordinating dies, but fits perfectly Frames Squares Die Set.
Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away Main Street Christmas and Holiday Fringe stamp sets away to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
My first card turned out clean and simple with a bit of bright and happy colors. First, I die cut the block of beautiful houses from Main Street Christmas Die Set on Strathmore Bristol paper and then stamped the coordinating image from Main Street Christmas stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Since the ink I used for stamping is a pigment one, I was able to heat emboss on top with Ranger Clear Embossing powder. Last but not least, I colored all the houses with watercolor markers.
And here’re all the colors used on this project: TOMBOW 055, 133, 373, 433, 451, 636, 723, 755, 933, 985.
A simple background was assembled with the holiday sentiment stamped from Main Street Christmas set and cloudy die from Sky Borders Die Set popped on a foam tape.
My second card features Holiday Fringe stamp set and it turned out quite simple as well since I want to keep the main focus on coloring.
To start, I used Neenah Solar White paper and Memento Black ink. I spent a a bit of time coloring all the holiday accessories and then simply trimmed the image following the stamp lines.
Here comes the complete list of COPIC markers used: YG01-YG23-YG05-YG07-G09; G40-YG41; BG10-BG11-BG15-BG23; Y11-Y15-Y18; C00-C1-C3; R21-R22-R24-R27-R299.
For the background I used kraft cardstock and a scalloped frame die cut on vellum from Frames Squares Die Set along with a polka dots ribbon. The heat embossed sentiment that comes from the same Holiday Fringe set was framed with a stitched circle die from the same Frames Squares Die Set. Finally a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen gave a little holiday touch to this project.
