Hello and welcome!!!
I’ve popped in for a quick post since I had a chance to play with and stretch more some super cute stamps from new Sunny Meadow Fair Collection by Purple Onion Designs created by a super talented Stacey Yacula!!!
To start I picked three adorable Flo, Mo & Bo chicks along with a ballon stamp from Fair Accessories set and stamped them on Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Then I used a pair of small sharp scissor and fussy cut all the images, leaving a little white edge around.
I decided to use a limited color palette on my card and colored all the stamps with Fresh Lemon, Turquoise, Paper Bag and Lava Rock watercolor markers from Tropical Fiesta set by Altenew. Next I created a matching inked background using Peacock Feathers Distress Oxide ink and fun Bokeh stencils from Newton’s Nook Designs. I added a lot of water droplets on top to achieve a messy look. Assembling all the elements together, I simply stamped a big bold birthday greeting from Fair Marquee Sentiments set and popped the colored stamps on a foam tape for some fun dimension.
The card design transformed the fair stamps into a universal birthday card and the color choice made it (in my opinion) perfect for little boys. And what do you think about it? Do you like to flip through your craft stash and invent more use for the products you already have on hand?
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
