If you’re still in doubt, I have another inspiration project for you featuring new small, but not less adorable Shrimp Cocktails stamp and the coordinating die sets. The mirror images inside this set inspired me for an interactive spinner card! So go ahead and watch the whole video tutorial below!
I used Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink for stamping. The shrimps were colored with Tombow markers.
These are all the colors used in the video: n.062, n.173, n.452, n.873, n.905.

An A2 size card base and an additional rectangle were prepared from Neenah Solar White 80 lb paper. I used the largest circle die from Frames Squared Die Set for the see through windows and the thing silver metallic thread from DMC brand for the interactive spinner mechanism. The inner pard of the card base was embellished with a light teal striped pattern paper from MFT Rainbow Stripes paper pad. And finally the sentiment from the same Shrimp Cocktails set was simply stamped on a piece of a light yellow cardstock.

If you’re still in doubt, I have another inspiration project for you featuring new small, but not less adorable Flip-Flop Life stamp set. Working on this card, I started with stamping a pattern on a piece of Neenah Solar White paper with Memento black ink since it’s copic friendly. Next I proceed with a simple coloring and added non directional shade around every flip-flop with a light gray color.
Here’s the complete list of all the colors I used here: BG10; Y00-Y11; YG00-YG01-YG05; RV10-RV02-RV04; T1.

Once adhered my colored pattern to the light blue card base, I die cut using the coordinating Flip-Flop Die Set another pair of cute flip-flops that were stamped and colored with a bit brighter shades along with a stamp edge frame from Framework Die used for the sentiment that comes from the same Flip-Flop Life stamp set. A coat of clear glitter pen and Glossy Accents added a finish touch to this card.

Hugs, Fishes and Mermaid Kisses! #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mermaid Lagoon stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

And here’s my cute summer under the sea project for you!!! I created a little scene out of fabulous new CDD Mermaid Lagoon and Sunny Smiles stamp sets! I stamped a bunch of images with a waterproof ink on a Bristol paper, colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers and fussy cut with my scissors leaving a tiny white edge around.

Hugs, Fishes and Mermaid Kisses! #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Mermaid Lagoon stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

For the background I used the same Bristol paper and die-cut the scene using new Ocean Border Die and Fancy Frame Die sets! Then I proceeded with a quick and simple ink blending using regular Distress inks. Here’s the tip how you can stretch you dies! I die-cut once more the wavy line from Ocean Border Dies and used it as a stencil for the water part giving a little bit of texture to the background! Assembling the card, popped some elements on a foam tape for a bit of dimension and interest and, of course, colds’r skip some shimmer!!!

Toucan Party Better Than One Together #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Toucan Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today I have another fun, cute and bright project featuring new Toucan Party stamp set and the coordinating Toucan Party Dies. I just LOVE those adorable feather friends with a tropical feeling!!! They are super easy to color and so fun to use on summer cards!  And since we are talking about summer and tropical feeling, new Tropical Leaves Stencil couldn’t be any perfect to pair with these toucans!

I started working on a watercolor cardstock and blended two shades of green Distress inks through Tropical Leaves Stencil, then I spritzed on top a few big water droplets and let them sit for a while on the paper since I wanted to achieve a splotchy faux watercolor look. While the background was drying, I stamped on a Bristol paper with a waterproof ink two toucans and colored them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers since I like their vibrant colors. I also heat embossed with a white embossing powder the sentiment from the same Toucan Party stamp set and finally assembled all the element with a bit of dimension using a foam tape.

Craftin Desert Divas – July Release – Ocean Of Birthday Wishes

Happy Wednesday!!

I’ve popped in for a super quick post since I have to share another release project featuring new July release from Craftin Desert Divas!

Ocean Friends #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Ocean Friends stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Today I crabbed a few super cute jellyfishes from Ocean Friends stamp set and made a cute ocean scene framed in a shaped shaker card! I experimented a little bit more with Distress Oxide ink in Broken China color first on the card base with ink smooching technique and then blended it on the vellum wave die-cut with new Ocean Border Dies. I spritzed both surfaces with some water droplets and lifted the color with a paper towel creating a splotchy look!

Ocean Friends #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Ocean Friends stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

The stamps were colored with Zig markers and fussy cut with my scissors! Assembling the card, I added dimension to the different layers with a foam tape and filled the shaker part with clear Shimmer Sequins. Finally “Ocean Of Birthday Wishes” sentiment from Mermaid Lagoon set was simply stamped inside.
