Leaf Canopy Stencil

Laurel Leaves Stencil

And here’s what I came up with for you today! A sweet and bright copic colored card! I started with the coordinating Later Gator SugarCut and Neenah Solar White paper. Once die cut all the necessary elements, I stamped the images from Later Gator stamp set helping myself with the negative parts of the die cuts for a perfect alignment. Next I simply colored all the stamps with copic markers.

In case you’re wondering, here’s the complete list of all COPIC markers used on this project: YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG25-G07; R0000-R00-R11-R12-R32; RV0000-RV00-RV10-RV02; RV0000-RV00-RV13; V01-V04-V06.

The pattern on the background was applied through the new Leaf Canopy Stencil. I just love the intricate design of this product! It looks really gorgeous to me! I mixed a plain white embossing paste with Picked Raspberry and Worn Lipstick Distress inks on a slick surface and then applied it on a piece of paper at an angle. I let the embossing paste air dry before popping all the elements on a foam tape along with a matching heat embossed birthday sentiment that comes from the same Later Gator stamp set.

Deck The Halls #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Christmas Trimmings stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

The first day has reserved us amazing Christmas Trimmings stamp set and you can also get the coordinating Christmas Trimmings Die Set. Then we have a small, but not less adorable Holiday Lights with the coordinating dies and two new wonderful holiday stencils: Ornaments and Light Strings.

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving away Christmas Trimmings stamp set to a lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

And here’s what I came up with today playing with wonderful Christmas Trimmings stamp and die sets. To start, I die cut the cute girl decorating the Christmas tree and a few gift boxes with the coordinating Christmas Trimmings Die Set. I don’t mind fussy cutting, but when you work with multiple images the coordinating dies come so handy and make the life much easier. I used Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink to stamp the outline images from Christmas Trimmings stamp set. Finally I colored everything with watercolor markers.

As always I’m leaving you the complete list of all the colors used here: TOMBOW n.N79, n.055, n.133, n.195, n.452, n.847, n.899, n.905, n.912, n.933, n.946.

The background was made on Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock. I inked a rectangle piece at an angle with Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks using Mini Blending Tools and then added some water droplets with Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer for a more playful look. Once died, I applied Ranger White Texture Paste through amazing new Ornaments stencil and let everything air dry before assembling the card.

My second card features Holiday Lights stamp set, the coordinating Holiday Lights Die Set and Light Strings stencil.

To start, I used the same Strathmore Bristol paper and VersaFine Onyx Black ink. I made the die cutting first with Holiday Lights Die Set, saved the negative parts of the die cuts and used them into my MISTI tool for a quick and easy stamping. Then I colored all the lights with Tombow marker n.055 and set them aside to air dry.

Meanwhile I applied Salty Ocean, Mermaid Lagoon and Blueprint Sketch Distress inks on three different pieces of clear plastic, spritz them with water from Tim Holtz Distress Sprayer and smooched the inks against Tim Holtz Distress Watercolor cardstock. I heat set everything. Next I used fantastic new Light Strings stencil set. I added light strings through the layer #1 with a silver metallic embossing paste and then the light bulbs through the layer #2 by mixing Ranger White Texture Paste with Fossiled Amber and Wild Honey Distress inks. For the card front I die cut a curved stitched line with NND Land Borders Die Set where I simply stamped the matching sentiment from Holiday Lights stamp set. As a finish touch I added a generous coat of Glossy Accents.

Would you like to win the “Christmas Trimmings” Stamp Set? This stamp set will be given away to ONE lucky winner!

Here’s how to win:

STAMPtember Exclusive: Let’s Pawty Stamp Set from Newton’s Nook Designs

Celebrate #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - exclusive STAMPtember Let's Pawty stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!

Today Newton’s Nook Designs is featured on the Simon Says Stamp site with an EXCLUSIVE stamp set that was designed just for the 2019 STAMPtember celebration!

You can purchase the new Newton’s Nook Let’s Pawty clear stamp set at Simon Says Stamp. Remember, this item is ONLY available through Simon Says Stamp while supplies last!

My card turned out quite clean and simple! I picked a super adorable kitty from Let’s Pawty stamp set along with a few birthday accessories, stamped and fussy cut them right against the stamp lines. Next I colored the images with copic markers and covered any imperfection due to the fussy cutting by brining a black brush marker across the edges.

And here’s the list of all the exact colors used on today’s project: COPIC cat W00-W0-W1-W2-W3-W5 plus T0-T3; YG0000-YG00-YG01-YG13-YG67; BG10-BG11-BG23-BG49; Y11-Y15-Y17-YR04; RV00-RV02-RV04-RV10.

A regular A2 size background made from Neenah Solar White paper was embellished through Confetti stencil with a white embossing paste for a tone on tone look. An additional stitched square die cut from vellum with Frames Squared Die Set was placed underneath the kitty along with a sentiment from the same Let’s Pawty set heat embossed on a strip of a black cardstock. A generous coat of a clear shimmer pen and a few matching sequins finished this project.

Wish Card Plus Video (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Wish #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Antics stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a cute kitty card made with some basic craft supplies and old, but still favorites Newton’s Antics and Playful Pandas stamp sets!

Please, watch the video tutorial below for all the details!

To start, I stamped the fun kitty from Newton’s Antics and a small ballon from Playful Pandas stamp sets on Strathmore Bristol paper with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. For the background I prepared a stitched rectangle die cut from Frames & Flags Die Set where I added pinky clouds by inking Clouds stencil. Once heat set and fussy cut the stamped images I proceeded with coloring.

Today I played with TOMBOW markers and here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: TOMBOW N57, N79, 723, 835, 873, 885.

Wish #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Antics stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Assembling all the elements together, I added “W”, “S” and “H” letters from Essential Alphabet Die Set to form the word “WISH” on the card base where the kitty took the place of the letter “i”. I also added a scalloped border from Sky Borders Die Set since it matches the cloud shape. The kitty was popped on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and a few pinky sequins finished this card.

Hope this sweet project will inspire you to flip through your stash and give a second life to the old stamps and dies!

Cardmaking For Beginners – Easy Interactive Card With Action Wobbles Plus Video (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Go Shorty #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Corgi Beach stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a fun tutorial how to put up together an easy interactive card using action wobbles!

I’m playing with super adorable Corgi Beach stamp and the coordinating Corgi Beach Die sets. Curios? So, please, watch the video below!

To start, I die cut with the coordinating dies from Strathmore Bristol paper and stamped with VersaFine Onyx Black ink three cute doggies and three pairs of sun glasses from Corgi Beach stamp set. Next I made an easy coloring using water based Tombow markers.

As always I’m leaving the complete list of all the colors used on this project: TOMBOW N15, N65, N79, 025, 723, 933, 946, 947.

The regular A2 size card base, made from Neenah Solar White paper, was embellished through Tropical Leaves stencil with Twisted Citron and Moved Lawn Distress inks. Three stitched circles were die cut from Frames Squared Die Set and glued directly to the background with Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue. And the fun matching sentiment comes from the same Corgi Beach stamp set. The interactive element is made by applying action mini springs or action wobbles that make the doggies’ bottoms shake in such a fun way. The final touch was added on the sun glasses with a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen plus Glossy Accents.
