Winslow & Rusty – Halloween Friends Stamp Set From Purple Onion Designs

Hello and welcome!!!

I’ve popped in with a Halloween card featuring another new absolutely adorable stamp from Winslow & Rusty collection by Purple Onion Designs and illustrated by Julian Charlton.

The stamp set, used on today’s project, is called Winslow & Rusty – Halloween Friends! I decided to challenge a little myself and switched to color pencils. I started with Strathmore Toned Gray paper since I wanted to make the little ghost look transparent and the light gray background seemed to be a perfect base. I stamped the cute friends with Memento Tuxedo Black ink and then colored the whole scene with color pencils from Faber Castell (Polychromos line) and Prismacolors Premier brands.

Once finished with coloring I framed the card front with a faux stitched rectangle from SugarPea Designs Card Front Elements 3 SugarCut that covers perfectly an extended A2 size (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) card front. The sentiment was heat embossed on a stripe of an orange cardstock using a fine white embossing paste. I shaped the sentiment into a fish-tailed banner with my scissors and popped it underneath the colored friends. A matching bow and some hand drawn accents made with a white gel pen finished this simple card.

Hugs,
