SugarPea Designs January 2020 Release: Day 5

Hello and welcome to the final day of the SugarPea January Product Release!

Today’s introductions include… an amazing and versatile Friendship Sentiments stamp set and Friends Words With Shadows SugarCut set. Plus there’s a wonderful and intricate Interlocking Circles SugarCut.

And here’s what I came up with for you today! A sweet friend card with a bit of inking and die cutting! To start, I heat embossed one part of the sentiment from Friendship Sentiments set on a narrow strip of a black cardstock. Then I die cut the word “friend” using Friends Words With Shadows SugarCut set and glued two pieces together to form the white word with the black shadow part. At this point, I also die cut tree times Interlocking Circles and stacked all the layers together.

Since my intention was to make an inked background, I started with a piece of Watercolor Cardstock from Tim Holtz because this paper was meant to work with Distress inks. I used Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seeds, Picked Raspberry and Wilted Violet Distress inks for my blending. I moved back and force with a blending tool a few times layering the colors and overlapping them a bit to achieve a smooth look. Then I added a few tiny water droplets and some colorful splashes on top for more interest. Finally assembled all the elements together by gluing the Interlocking Circles directly to the background and the die cut work “friend” on top of the circles with Multi Medium Matte liquid adhesive.

2019 SugarPea Designs November Release: Day 3

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the SugarPea Holiday Product Release!

Today’s Introductions include… amazing Sentiments Of Love stamp set filled a big “LOVE” word and lots of small phrases. I just love the size and the font of this set! Plus there’re a few matching dies too Dangle  Hearts Cover Plate, Love SugarCut, Valentine SugarCut, Dangle Hearts SugarCut. No need to tell you that these products are so fun fun to mix and match on projects.

And here’s what I came up with for you today! Two cards made from one colorful piece of paper with no leftover scraps!!! Yaaaayyyyy!!! To start, I inked a piece of paper with Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade Distress inks using Mini Ink Blending Tools. I worked on Bristol paper that I had in my stash since it’s a little bit smoother than Neenah cardstock and allows to blend the colors easily. Next I added a few clear shimmer drops on top and die cut the whole colorful piece with Dangle  Hearts Cover Plate.

I hold all the die cut pieces in place and picked them with Press’n Seal. Meanwhile I prepared two regular A2 size card bases. I flipped the die cut pattern and covered with a glue all the negative parts of the Dangle  Hearts Cover Plate to adhere them to the first base. I gently remove the Press’n Sea piece and popped the positive part of the die on a foam tape to adhere it to the second card base. I also die cut another positive part using Dangle  Hearts Cover Plate and added it to the colorful negative pieces adhering directly on the card base.

Next I prepared two amazing big Love SugarCut and Valentine SugarCut sentiments die cutting the shadow layers from a black cardstock and the words from Neenah Solar White. I also heat embossed two matching sentiments from new Sentiments Of Love stamp set to finish both cards. One assembled all the elements together, I added a few clear sequins as a finish touch.

Holiday Card Series 2019 – Joy To The World Card (ft. SugarPea Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog!!! Today I came up with a clean and simple holiday card mixing some amazing old and new stamps and dies.

To start, I die cut three snow slopes on Neenah Solar White paper positioning on top wonderful little houses and trees from Around Town SugarCut. Next I switched directly to the card base made from the same Neenah Solar White paper for a perfect match. I blended Picked Raspberry Distress ink, Hollylock and Apricot Dye inks from Simon Says Stamp starting from the bottom part of the card front and creating an ombre effect. Next I simply stamped a beautiful big bold sentiment from Oh So Jolly Sentiments set.

I also added a cute winter touch applying a white embossing paste through Falling Snow Stencil. I let the embossing paste air dry and then popped all three snow layers on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look.
