At least on your cards! LOL!!! All that crazy cuteness comes with Newton’s Costumes Party stamp set and the coordinating dies which have an additional value in this case! But if you don’t have the die cutting machine, no worries, read this post to find out how you can use this stamp set without the coordinating dies!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving Newton’s Costume Party stamp set away to one lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!
My first card is super simple and cute! I die cut the cutie kitty and the accessorizes and then made stamping with a black waterproof ink aligning the negative part of the die in my stamping positioning tool!

Happy Halloween #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Costume Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookOnce finished watercoloring with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers, I made a super simple watercolor night sky background with regular watercolors this time and applied some stars with a white embossing paste and Starfield Stencil.

Happy Halloween #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Costume Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookAssembling the card, I added a die cut circle colored as the moon and some clouds die cut from Sky Borders die set. Finally I stamped the sentiment with the same black ink I used before and added afew finish touches: a shimmer pen and some sequins!

Happy Halloween #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Costume Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookDon’t have a die cutting machine! No worries!!! My second card shows you how to use Newton’s Costumes Party stamp set without the coordinating dies! A simple masking technique will help you to dress up the cute kitties!

Happy Halloween #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Costume Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookBasically for masking technique you need to stamp the costume first then stamp it again on a masking paper or post it, cut out a mask and apply it on top of you stamped costume and only then proceed with stamping the kitty. When you lift the mask, you’ll get the dressed kitty.

Happy Halloween #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton's Costume Party stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookOn my card I decided to reproduce the same scene, making almost one layer card with the same masking technique I talked before! Here are the steps to follow for the complete scene: stamp and mask the costume first, stamp and mask the kitty, die cut from Sky Borders die set and apply the cloud line, finally die cut a circle and place it as the moon. Add color to the sky with ink blending technique and the stars with Starfield Stencil. Lift up only the moon part of the mask and add color to it. Finally lift up all other masks and color the kitty. Honestly it’s not difficult at all as it may seem and doen’t take too much time!!!

Newton’s Nook Designs September Release and Giveaway – Day 3

Hello and welcome to Day 3 of the Newton’s Nook Designs September Release!

All the new September products will be avaliable for purchaise on Friday, September 15th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

No Bones About It #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Spooky Skeletons stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookToday NND is releasing not one, but TWO fantastic stamp sets! The first one is called Spooky Halloween and it’s super cute and super simple to use! Really such a clever design! The second one “Beautiful Bones” is an addition to the beautiful swirls collection and it’s so much fun and easy to color! Both sets come with the coordinating dies!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving Spooky Halloween and Beautiful Bones stamp sets away to lucky winners so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Here’s my interpretation of Spooky Halloween stamp set! I die cut a dog and a bat cutouts using the coordinating dies, aligned them in my stamping positioning tool using the negative part of the dies so that I could stamp twice and get a crisp black images.

Then I prepared an ink blended night scene die cutting a circle with NND Land Borders die set and heat embossing the moon and some stars from the same Spooky Halloween set with a white embossing powder!

A few stars were added to a light gray background through Starfield Stencil just for something little extra that would tie all the elements together and finally the sentiment was simply stamped with the same black ink I used for the skeletons.

Forever In Our Hearts #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Beautiful Bones stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookMy second card featuring Beautiful Bones stamp set was inspired my the Mexican Day Of The Dead (Día de Muertos in spanish) and so I went for a super bright rainbow colors on the beautiful skull. I also stamped and colored a few swirly hearts and transformed them in flowers since they are very characteristic for this holiday as well!

Forever In Our Hearts #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Beautiful Bones stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookWorking on the card base, I repeatedly stamped the small heart and then added a vellum panel on top where I heat embossed the sentiment from Furr-ever Friends stamp set. A few black accents added a finish touch to this colorful card.

Let’s Celebrate – Birthday Card Series (ft. Create A Smile)

cas-celebrate-2016-1

Happy Tuesday!

I’m stretching again my craft supplies making this birthday boy autumn feeling shaker card.

The cute little koalas from All Hands On Deck stamp set by Create A Smile are so versatile and can be easily transformed to suit your occasion. Basically on this card with no fancy techniques at all I interpreted the summer scheme stamp as an autumn one only by switching to the Halloween colors. Then I added a birthday sentiment from Mini Birthday stamp set that says “Let’s celebrate… Once again… It’s Your Birthday” (stamped inside the card) and finished to have a birthday card for my little nephew’s October birthday! Isn’t this card turned out super fun?!

cas-celebrate-2016-2

All the images were stamped with a waterproof ink, watercolored with Mijello Mission Gold watercolors and hand cut leaving a little white border around. I used the same circle die both for die-cutting the shaker area and shaping the sentiment so that it could match perfectly the circle part.

cas-celebrate-2016-3

This card is also my entry to the Create A Smile September challenge – “CIRCLE” since the whole scene were built around the circle shaker area.

Hope that you like this project and the idea behind will give you some inspiration! Thanks so much for stopping by and leaving me nice comments! I really appreciate your support!
