Hello and welcome!!!
I’m back with my second card featuring amazing new collection of rubber stamps from Purple Onion Designs illustrated by very talented Julian Charlton. There are 7 new adorable stamp sets that are perfect for quick, clean and simple card making! Each set contains one illustration along with several different sentiments. Lottie’s Gang along with Elliot & Marcel will bring a smile to your face. You might find the “Hugs” sets very appropriate for what we are all experiencing around the world right now.
Today I played with adorable Elliot & Marcel – Feeling Blue? stamp set. I went again for a clean and simple design since, in my opinion, it suits the style of Julian’s illustrations. I started with Neenah Solar White paper and copic friendly Memento Tuxedo Black ink and used them both for the stamp and the background. The elephant was colored with copic markers and fussy cut with a little white edge around. The card base was inked with a peachy pink dye ink. I added a tone on tone pink heart pattern through Newton’s Nook Designs Tumbling Hearts stencil using the same shade of the ink applied with more heavy hand and then flicked a few tiny white droplets using a white gouache. I framed the inked background with a stitched rectangle die and popped it on a light gray card base along with Elliot & Marcel. The sentiment that comes from the same Elliot & Marcel – Feeling Blue?, was simply stamped on the background.
And here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC T0-T1-T3-T5-T7; E000-E00-E30-E33; R30-R20-R22.
