Here is what I created:

Happiness Is... #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Sip And Stories stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I played with amazing coffee themed products from the NND last release: Sip & Stories stamp and die sets plus Mugs stencil. To start, I used the coordinating Sip & Stories Die Set along with Copic X-Press paper to die cut all the shapes with Big Shot Die Cutting Machine. The coordinating Sip & Stories Die Set came really handy this time to achieve all the small pieces and saved me lots of time. I used the negative parts of the dies inside the stamping positioning tool to help me with the alignment during the stamping process.  Memento Tuxedo Black ink was an obvious choice for the alcohol markers.

Here’s the complete list of all the colors used by me for coloring: COPIC MARKERS skin E0000-E00-E11; hair E50-E53-E55-E57; E; R20-R22-R24-R27-R46; YG21-YG01-YG23; G20-G24; Y11-Y15-Y17-Y21; YR21-YR12-YR14 B91-B93-B95-B99; RV00-RV02-RV04-RV21-RV25;V04-V06; BG10-BG23; T0-T3.

An extended A2 size card base (5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″) was masked with a strip of the sticky tape. I inked the top part of the card front through Mugs stencil with Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink, then lift the stencil and added Antique Linen Distress ink across the whole area. I simply stamped the sentiment below the inked portion and started assembling all the elements together popping some colored stamps on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look. A generous coat of a clear shimmer pen and a few crystal clear sequins.

Newton’s Nook Designs January Release and Giveaway – Day 2 – Caffeinated Cats

Hello and welcome to Day 2 of the Newton’s Nook Designs January release! Thanks so much for joining me! Hope you’ll be inspired by today’s project!

All the new January products will be available for purchase on Friday, January 18th at Newton’s Nook Designs online store and other craft retailers!

Good Days Starts #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Caffeinated Cats stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Today all the Design Team is showcasing you a stunning addition to the full card front collection of stamps from Newton’s Nook Designs! And so let me introduce you a wonderful Caffeinated Cats stamp set that contains a really purr-rect blend: coffee, cats and relaxing coloring!!! I’m sure you’ll love this cutie as much as I’m!!!

Giveaway alert!! NND is giving a new Caffeinated Cats stamp sets away to a lucky winner so make sure you read all the way to the bottom of this post to see how to win!

Since I made the coloring for this card on the go, my choice was obviously on Strathmore Bristol paper, VersaFine Onyx black ink for stamping, a small water brush from Pentel and Tombow markers!

Here’re all the exact colors used here: TOMBOW n.N75, n.126, n.133, n.703, n.723, n.850, n.933, n.969, n.977, n.985, n.992.

Once finished with coloring, I framed the adorable image using Frames & Flags Die Set and popped it on a light pink card base trimmed and scored to the regular A2 size. Since I believe that there would be no perfect morning for me without my sweet kitties, I decided to get creative with the sentiment: I trimmed the “&” sign from the sentiment that comes from the same Caffeinated Cats set and paired it with the word “cats” cut from another stamp set called Company Of Cats! Both parts were heat embossed with a white embossing powder on a piece of a black cardstock and finally added to the card.

Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Hello and welcome!

I’ve popped in to share a fun shaker card filled with real coffee beans! This project is a part of the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop and features new Newton’s Nook Designs Cuppa Cactus stamp set from their June release! I just LOVE the fun sentiments from this set!!!

I'm a Little Prickly Before My Coffee #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Cuppa Cacti stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started working on a Bristol Paper and stamped with a waterproof ink both cute cactus plants in coffee cups from Cuppa Cactus set since my intention was coloring them with Zig Clean Color Real Brush markers. Please, scroll down towards the bottom of this post to see all the exact colors I used!

I'm a Little Prickly Before My Coffee #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Cuppa Cacti stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnookOnce the colored images were dry, I die-cut them with the coordinating dies! At this point I also die-cut the shaker part on a slightly smaller panel than my A2 size card base and proceeded with assembling.

I simply stamped with the same black ink I used before the adorable sentiment and added a little colorful banner towards the left topside. To make enough place for the coffee beans I put three layers of a foam tape between the card base and my window piece and finally popped up the cactus plants. As final touch, I applied a generous coat of a shimmer pen to the colored images.

That’s all for today! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic week-end!!!

Craftin Desert Divas – June Release Sneak Peek – Coffee Wizards

Happy Friday!

Today I’m sharing a sneak peek project showcasing you the fabulous Coffee Wizards stamp set from the new Crafting Desert Divas June release!

Espresso Patronum #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Coffee Wizards stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

If you, like me, a big fan of cute stamps and fun sentiments, this stamp set will steal your heart for sure!!! And so today I have to share a lovely shaker card filled with real coffee beans! This idea popped up in my head immediately when I saw this stamp set!

Espresso Patronum #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Coffee Wizards stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

The cute images from Coffee Wizards stamp set were stamped on a copic friendly paper with a copic friendly ink, of course, since copic markers were my choice as a color media. I also die-cut and colored the rainbow from CDD Rainbow Die set to use as a background for a shaker element! As always I’m leaving all the exact colors I used here at the bottom of this post.

Espresso Patronum #handmadecard by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Coffee Wizards stamp set by Craftin Desert Divas #craftindeserdivas

Since coffee beans are quite big, this type of shaker cards might become too bulky so I applied the front scalloped panel die-cut with CDD Fancy Frame Dies double sizing the foam tape and then added extra dimension making a pop up shaker element to put on top die-cutting this time the circle frames out of CDD Inside Scalloped Circle Dies. And of course, couldn’t skip some shimmer as a finish touch on this magic card! LOL!!!

The color combo was inspired the the amazing mood board made for the Craftin Desert Diva’s June Monthly Social Media Challenge. You still have time to join it for a chance to win some amazing prizes! All you need to do is to create a project inspired by the current mood board and using at least one CDD brand product! Then just share it with #CDDMONTHLY in the Craftin Desert Divas Facebook Gallery! If you aren’t a member, just request it here.

And since this card please not only your eyes, but smells deliciously as well, this is also my entry to the Summer Coffee Lovers Bloghop!!!

That all for today! Hope you like this fun and cute card! As always thanks so much for stopping by! And please, check Craftin Desert Divas Event Page on Facebook for more inspiration, amazing projects and sneak peeks from the Design Team, freebies and awesome giveaways!

Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop – Partial Masking Card Technique (ft. Newton’s Nook Designs)

Hello and welcome!

Today I have a clean and simple card to share with you along with some tips and tricks on partial masking! This card is a part of the Spring Coffee Lovers Bloghop and features Newton’s Nook Designs Newton Loves Coffee stamp set! You know me! I just adore this sweet kitty!!! LOL!!!

You Are The Cream In My Coffee #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton Loves Coffee Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

I started with a piece of watercolor paper and die-cut a stitched scalloped border on the bottom part. Once chosen the cute kitty with coffee cup stamp, I decided to give it a spring twist and add a few tiny tulips from NND Simply Seasonal stamp set. Since I didn’t want to have some stamp lines crossing on my image, I did a partial masking both on the stamp and the stamped image.

You Are The Cream In My Coffee #handmade card by Tatiana Trafimovich #tatianacraftandart - Newton Loves Coffee Stamp set by Newton's Nook Designs #newtonsnook

Here’s how you can do that! Placing the flowers inside the mug means that the image has: 1. one part of the mug in front; 2. then the flowers inside and finally 3. the other part of the mug and the kitty behind the flowers.

First before inking the image mask partially with a post tape the “behind” part of you stamp that will cross with flowers later like on my picture below and stamp only the “front” part of the mug. Pay attention only to the areas that will cross later and don’t worry about the rest of the stamp.

Stamp aside on a masking paper, cut out and place the same “front” part of your mug on top and start adding flowers. Remember to mask every time all the flower parts as well.

Finally ink all the kitty stamp and stamp the whole image. Only then remove all the masks and you will finish with a cute spring scene!

Here are some more tips and tricks! Using a stamp positioner or a stamping tool for this technique will help you to align perfectly your stamp.

Remember that you can bend and shape your clear stamps on the acrylic block or the door of your stamping tool if you need to change the direction like I did with flowers here.

Use small images you have on the stamp sets to create your own matching pattern paper. I used some bold mug and coffee stamps to create a non distractive tone-on-tone background.
