You probably know that I’m a huge fan of the cute mischief Newton designed by Newton’s Nook Designs and love to color him like my kitties. And so I just couldn’t choose any purr-fect character to put on this card! LOL!!!
I mixed and matched a few fun products creating a window scene on this clean and simple project. First of all, I stamped with a copic friendly black ink a cute kitty from Newton’s Curious Christmas and the city skyline from Snow Globes Scenes stamp sets. Then I colored everything with copic markers, fussy cut right against the stamp lines and colored the trimmed edges with a black marker to hide any imperfection. I also prepared the snowy sky background directly on my A2 size card base using a few blue shades of copic markers and started assembling everything. In case you’re interested, I’m leaving all the exact colors I used here at the bottom of this post. I added a bit of dimension with a foam tape to the layout and simply stamped the sentiment from Sentiment Of The Season set with the same black ink I used before along with Santa’s sleigh that comes with Snow Globes Scenes stamp set. Of course, I just couldn’t skip a few clear sequins and a shimmer pen as a finish touch.
It’s not a party without a prize – and with prizes every day there are several chances to win! Today’s prize is generously supplied by Newton’s Nook Designs so you’ll definitely want to win! I grabbed two adorable doggies and stamped them on Strathmore Bristol paper with a waterproof ink since my intention was to color them with Zig Clean Colour Real Brush markers. Then I fussy cut the images with my scissors and brought a black marker with a felt brush nib on the edges of the cut images. This little tip helped me to hide any imperfection due to cutting. For the background I used Land Borders Die Set creating the snow slopes and hills and “colored” the sky portion with Distress inks and an ink blending tool. Once the inks were dry I heat embossed with a white embossing powder the little snowflakes from Snow Globe Scenes stamp set on top and finished with the sentiment put on the fish-tale banner and a few matching sequins.

DIY Last Minute Christmas Gifts
Hello guys!
I’ve just popped in for a super quick post as I would like to share some last minute gift tags I made. Hope you like the idea!
These are super easy and fast to recreate especially if you use pattern paper or only minimal stamping! For the basic tutorial you can check this video made by a super talented Jennifer McGuire.
On my tags I went a little bit crazy and used emboss resist technique. To speed up the process I arranged and mounted together all the stamps on the acrylic block so I managed to stamp all at once. Once heat embossed, I watercolored the tags with Gansai Tambi watercolors. Since I was attaching a lip balm to the tags, I chose a matching “Merry Kissmas” sentiment.
As always thanks so much for stopping by, for you love and support! Have a wonderful joyful and peaceful Christmas! I’ll catch you very soon for a new post!
