Today just to stay on topic I decided to put up some happy holidays lights on my card and play more with small, but super cute Holiday Lights stamp set
. To start, I die cut a bunch of small lights using the coordinating Holiday Lights Die Set
on Neenah Solar White paper. When you have to make multiple images the coordinating dies comes so handy and saves a lot of time! Since the light bulbs are such a simple shape, I decided to make no-line coloring with copic markers because it’s fun and allows you also to practice and try different color combos.
I stamped the light bulbs from Holiday Lights set
with a light dye ink using my MISTI tool and the negative part of the die and finally colored all the lights with copic markers. Working on the background, I inked Gingham
pattern with a very light gray ink and stamped in the center the matching sentiment from the same Holiday Lights stamp set
. I traced two curved lines with a black marker to use as the light strings. Assembling the card, I popped all the colored elements on a foam tape for a fun dimensional look and added a generous coat of a clear shimmer pen.
As always I’m leaving you the complete list of all the colors used on this project: COPIC T1- T3; V0000-V01-V04; RV00-RV10-RV02; RV21-RV23-RV25; R02-R05; Y00-Y11-Y15; G00-G02-G03; B0000-B00-B01-B02; YG00-YG01-YG13; YR00-YR02-YR04; BG10-BG11-BG13; BG0000-BG000-BG10-BG23; B21-B24-BG70.

Today I’m taking part at the 25 Days of Christmas Tags event hosted by the talented Tracy McNeely. We are on day 3 of this awesome feature so make sure you visit her blog each day to see all 25 days! And today it is also Newton’s Nook Designs feature day and that means you’ll see a lot of inspiration and tags made using the NND brand products!
My today’s project is definitely not for mass producing, but I LOOOVE coloring so much and, trust me, I spent some happy hours playing with the adorable critters from All Aboard For Christmas stamp set. To start, I die cut all the elements using the coordinating All Aboard For Christmas Die Set on Neenah Solar White paper and then stamped the open images with MFT Black Hybrid ink. The tag shape along with a sparkling metallic die cut sentiment were made using Snow Globe Shaker Die Set. Finally all the backgrounds were embellished with a few matching silver snowflakes heat embossed from Sweater Weather stamp set.
The first cutie is a fabulous reindeer put onto a traditional blue background. I tried to use a limited color combo here and colored the image with different shapes of pink.
As always I’m leaving you all the exact colors used on every tag: COPIC MARKERS RV02-RV04-RV09; R20-R22-R24-R30-R32; E53-E55-E99; Y00-Y21-YR23; C00-C1-C2-C3-C5-C7.
The sweet little fox turned out on a yellow background. These are all the COPIC MARKERS used on the tag: YG00-YG05-YG09; R000-R20-R32; Y13-Y17-YR04-YR07; BG11-BG23; B21-B24;
The cute doggie was colored with some complementary colors: COPIC MARKERS YR23-YR24-E99; V04-V05-V06; BG11-BG23; YG01-YG05; Y13-Y17-YR04; R20.
Finally we have the purr-fect little kitty that turned out more colorful and bright. COPIC MARKERS used on this tag are Y11-Y13-Y15-Y17-Y26; YR15-YR24-YR27-YR31-YR68; BG000-BG01-BG02; G0000-YG00-G02; R000-R02-R20; RV04; E99; R05-R29.
That’s all for today! Hope this project will inspire you!!! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
Hello and welcome!!!
I’m so happy you’ve joined me today and even more excited to be on the Newton’s Nook Designs blog sharing a sweet Christmas card made with a such an adorable fawn from new just released Festive Fawns stamp set.
I LOOOOVE so much the cute critters from Festive Fawns stamp set and just don’t have enough time to use the sweetest fawn with a holiday wreath yet. I decided to play around the image and build my own wreath on the card. To start, I die cut the fawn and the cute little bird shapes on Strathmore Bristol paper using the coordinating Festive Fawns Die Set. Then I stamped the open images from Festive Fawns stamp set with VersaFine Onyx Black ink. Finally I colored the stamps with watercolor markers adding a bit of water with a small water brush from Pentel.
As always, here’s the complete list of all the colors used on this project: TOMBOW N15, 133, 723, 845, 847, 873, 885, 899, 905, 977; ZIG CLEAN COLOUR RELA BRUSH MARKERS n.61 Light Brown.
I prepared a regular A2 size kraft card base where heat embossed a few tiny snowflakes from the same Festive Fawns stamp set and flicked some white splotches using a white gouache. Next I die cut a few tree branches from two different shades of green cardstock using Pine & Holly Die Set. I adhered the pine branches in a circle shape on the card front and added “Noel” sentiment that comes from Main Street Christmas Die Set. Finally I popped the colored stamps on a foam tape and finishes with a few red berries coated with a red glitter.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this sweet holiday project!
As always thanks so much for stopping by!
Hello and welcome!
I’m super excited to be featured on SugarPea Designs blog today and showcase you a super fun and cute Christmas Characters SugarCut. I gathered together a lot of ideas plus some tips and tricks for you useful for the beginner carmakers and expert ones! So please watch the video tutorial below!
I played with colorful cardstocks on the snowman tag to create some shading and dimension. The cute elf was assembled with patterned paper die cut from SugarPea Designs’ Spots & Stripes Brights paper pad. The Santa tag was assembled using mostly the same red color on many elements.
The cutie penguin turned out super soft due to a velvety texture from the Flock Sheets. Finally the adorable reindeer was customized with a brown shade from Vintage Photo Distress Oxide ink.
You can obviously mix and match all the ideas on any tag and add your own finish touches with Christmas red glitter or a coat of a festive shimmer pen. It’s also so easy to create your own patterns on the accessories by using a black marker or a white gel pen. Googly eyes or liquid black accents can add to the critters an extra fun finish touch.
That’s all for today! Hope all the ideas that I shared today will inspire you to give a try to your own customized Christmas tags! As always thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!

Hello and welcome!
Today I have an extra special post to share with you! It’s all about 10th Annual Caring Hearts Card Drive hosted by super talented Vera Yates! The purpose of this card drive is to collect handmade holiday cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes or live alone. Please check Vera’s blog for all the details and how you can participate!
As a part of Caring Hearts Card Drive SugarPea Designs is excited to release a very special stamp set today!!!
This special stamp set is called Christmas Cheer
and has been almost a year in the making. Please note that SugarPea Designs will be donating 20% of all proceeds from the sale of the Christmas Cheer stamp sets to the Alzheimers Association.
And here’s what I came up with for you today! To start, I stamped some cuties from Christmas Cheer stamp set, colored them with copic markers and fussy cut leaving a little white edge around.
As always, I’m leaving you all the exact colors used on this project: R01-R02-R05-R08-R29; YG01-YG05-YG07-YG09; BG000-BG02; C00-C1-C3; YR30-Y21-YR24-YR27; E30-E31-E33.
The background was framed with a dotted rectangle large enough to cover a whole A2 size card front die cut from Card Front Element Builder II set. I also die cut a circle window inside using Zig Zag Stitched Circles SugarCut and snow hill using a stitched line die from Card Front Element Builder set. The blue sky behind the critters was inked directly on the card base using Mermaid Lagoon Distress ink and the Falling Snow effect was added through the stencil with a plain white embossing paste. Finally I assembled all the elements together with a bit of dimension and finished with a generous coat of Spectrum Noir Crystal Clear Shimmer pen.
That’s all for today! Hope you like this cute holiday card! Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!!!
